You are a life saver, I have been struggling with this set up for an hour and I just managed to to it within 5 minutes after watching your video. Merci beaucoup.
Thank you so much for this video. I’ve been struggling for a week to reset with the instructions on the Sonos app. I watched your video, followed the steps and viola’. I now have access to my music. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you ! Thank you ! Thank you !! I have been struggling with how to change my Sonos Wifi Password after getting a new router. I've looked at several CZcams videos but they were no help but after viewing your video I had it up and running (wireless) within minutes. After following your instructions it worked PERFECTLY !!
Do you have your Sonos App on an Android phone? Then your explanations are correct. I spent the whole Weekend trying to do this with iPhone/iPad. Won‘t work….Did it today with Android, and finally I had my system running again. Seems that Apple has some security build in blocking the WLAN-connection, as soon as you disconnect the Ethernet cable.
Oh. Yes that is a frustrating feature from Apple. I don't remember if there was a solution about it but yes by default iPhone wont connect to any network without internet.
I've moved to a new place and can't run a cable from my Sonos Beam to my landlords Wifi Router. What are my options to reconnect it to a new wifi network? Thanks!
I wish I had seen this video earlier today, I changed my router and went through factory resetting on all 8 of my devices! I have the Arc, Bass, and two One SL’s downstairs and a Sound Bar and two One SL’s upstairs, plus the Move. This would have saved me so much time! Well, at least I know for next time. Thank you for the video! BTW....Can I hook the Move up directly to sync everything, or will I need to use one of the One SL’s next time?
Ahah!! Thanks Slmim Slow for your comment. You can start with any speaker it will be fine. But I like to have one speaker connected at all time. It create a more reliable network, and fewer devices on Wi-Fi. And you wouldn't have to do almost anything, except for the wich is only a Wi-Fi device. I explain all about it in this video : czcams.com/video/BjRqY1hw0ds/video.html
My Sonos Boost is wired to my router. If I want to change to a new router, can I simply plug the Boost in to the new router and not have to change any settings or configurations?
My house is two floors and have the same wifi SSID and password for the whole house but the SONO app on my mobile will only work when I am connected to the wifi router which is connected to the main SONO speaker and does not connect when my mobile is connected to the Repeater or access point although has the same SSID and Password. thanks for your Great and Clear Videos.
Hi there! Thank you for your comment. This mean that your repeater is not correctly configure. It may have the same SSID and password but if it does not let you see the other device, that mean it act as a router. Taking every devices connected on it on a different network. Make sur it is configured as a repeater or AP and it will solve your problem.
Hey Buddy - great video. There are so many folks online (including myself) furious with Sonos for not explaining how to connect a Sonos One speaker to your network “without” an Ethernet cable…. Do you have a link on how to do this??? Thank you
The system take you by the hand at the very begining of the setup to do it. Otherwise you may only have to change the wi-fi setup like I showed on that video.
You must learn the new credential while it is connected to the old network... Otherwise reset is the only way : czcams.com/video/vE29e0InDe4/video.html Yes it's stupid.
is it possible to have the Move remember and connected automatically to more then one WiFi network? For example if I want to move the speaker between my house and my girlfriends place to I need to reset it each time to connected to the different routers? I am trying to find my Move on the new network but I can't find my speaker whilst going through the connect to new network set-up.
Yea it's the only way. The thing is that the move is think to be part of the rest of your sonos system. It's call the move as you can take it out and connect it to bluetooth. But it wasn't think to be move from a place to an other.
Installed a new router, lost connection to sonos… cant connect my system unless an ethernet cable is connected… everything works, but once i disconnect the cable the system goes back to not recognizing wifi. Can you help. Also using a iphone and sonos2 app
I see that this video is 2 years old. Does the boost still not work with the Sonos Move? If thats the case then the sonos support guys did not point that out as I spent hours on the phone with them trying to install and register my sonos boost. We hardwired it via ethernet cable to the main hub disk of my deco tp-link mesh system but we could never get it to register (meaning link the boost to my account) and the support tech could not figure out why. But he said that on his end he can see that my speakers are all connected to the boost and all appears to be fine. I thought I would be able to see this on my end thru the app. Is that not the case? I have a feeling the rep might have been full of crap and my sonos speakers are still connected to the 2.4 wireless network created by the deco tp-link mesh system. Help!!
The thing with the move is that it's one of the only speaker that is not compatible with the sonos net. So he can only be connected over wi-fi. The very new series seam also to be the same.
You’re a life saver. Everywhere else it’s so unclear how to do this.
Is there any reason why there isn't an option for wireless set up
This guy is better then the official sonos videos
Ahah!! That is a lovely comment! Thanks you so much! 😆
HOW IS THIS THE ONLY VIDEO ON THIS?! So glad you made this. I just got a One Second hand and was having so much confusion. THANK YOU
Ahah!! Thank you very much for your comment Khoel! I'm glad it helped! Enjoy the music! :)

Thank you my good sir. This was helpful and worked flawlessly!
Thanks. Very helpful.
What do I do if I only have Sonos Move??
I've moved to a new place and can't run a cable from my Sonos Beam to my landlords Wifi Router. What are my options to reconnect it to a new wifi network? Thanks!
Please take a look at that video : czcams.com/video/BjRqY1hw0ds/video.html
@@HowToPM excellent thank you.
I’m not home I don’t want to connect to a router to a brand new “wireless speaker” sonos is trash

Wireless Setup never shows up for me

That's right.
Technically you don't even have to do it, but maybe the worst you will need to do is reboot the boost and other speaker.
@@HowToPM It worked out. I powered the Boost off and on after I connected it to the new router and Sonos came back alive.
This was so helpful, thank you!
Thank you very much!!! You really helped me 🎉🫂

Cant get my sonos to show in app. Should i remover power cable as well?
Try to connect it with a network cable for a moment.
@@HowToPM yeah its been hours connected to ethernet
@@HowToPM maybe with new software it doesnt work anymore?
how do you change wireless sonos product to sonosnet?
Just connect a network cable in one of your speaker they will switch to Sonos Net.
What if you don’t have an Ethernet cable?? Plus my sound bar is two floors above from the router
You can get one here : geni.us/PatchCable
You can take a very long cable or take your soundbar next to your router for the time you do the operation.

I need to connect the sonos move to a new WiFi router...
have no idea how to do it. can you help?

Yes it's stupid.
If I need a network cable in 2022 with a new 6e wifi, these speakers are now expensive bricked doorstops
is it possible to have the Move remember and connected automatically to more then one WiFi network? For example if I want to move the speaker between my house and my girlfriends place to I need to reset it each time to connected to the different routers?
I am trying to find my Move on the new network but I can't find my speaker whilst going through the connect to new network set-up.
I know this is very stupid but you can't.
@@HowToPM ironic seeing as it is called the move 🤣 so the only way to connect to a new WiFi network is to factory reset the speaker?

Wireless Setup is greyed out in my Sonos App and yes, one speaker is via LAN connected .... ach I hate it
Try to reboot the app or reinstall it.
System is greyed out for me and I reinstalled the app… tried everything 🤬
I don’t have the wireless option
Same here
Installed a new router, lost connection to sonos… cant connect my system unless an ethernet cable is connected… everything works, but once i disconnect the cable the system goes back to not recognizing wifi. Can you help. Also using a iphone and sonos2 app
Have you setup the new SSID while the cable was connected?
@@HowToPM not familiar with that? How would i do that?
Well this is exactly what the video is about.
I didnt need a booster to run my system before.
Ive tried to connect to the network offered on the new router… sonos says it cant find it.
System is greyed out and won’t let me access.
You must be logged in your Sonos account first on the app.
How do I do this for the Sonos move

turtle and rabbit... very funny
It won’t let me set up wireless 😭
You might have a special caracter in your password or SSID that sonos don't like.
Gex
Dude is irritating with the draaww out of his Sentencessss!
Sonos is junk
