Beach Fishing - Chesil Beach - Cod Hunt

With reports of the cod arriving along the South Coast and the weather predicted to have light winds and showers we prepared for a trip to Chesil beach. We arrived at Abbotsbury and after crossing the boardwalk and turning left, headed for the dragons teeth and a 20 minute trudge across the shingle. After setting up and fishing for a while the weather turned bad with gusting winds and horizontal rain, determined we carried on. With the weather deteriorating and the fishing becoming difficult we stuck to the plan of trying to catch a cod and possibly a strap eel. 12 hours later we were packing up and looking back on an eventful evening.
