- Join me for my weekly visit to Chesil Beach, to my surprise this weeks session is a brilliant one, my best ever in January.
I have 7 Cod in 7 casts, As with all my videos I offer out plenty of hints, tips and advice.

@The Shore Hunter I've done 15 trips this winter haven't see one anglers are thin on the ground. There's the match boys but anything on or over the limit they love. 77 i started cod everywhere had the pleasure of watching Paul kerry casting them times we learned well by watching as young teenagers the last ten years have been dia for cod summer fishing is brilliant for bass and flats so I'm heading north to holderness 165 miles but I'm getting the impression many people do them miles. I've been quite ill since July last year so I haven't got out in a long time and these videos keep me going until I can get back at it. Even when I do ill still watch your content, I've got to get to Chesil beach ⛱

Cracking watch Wayne as always. Some nice Codling there, very well done, great effort with good reward 👍 it’s been a while since I took the 4-6 hr journey to Chesil, think I’ll have to plan a long weekend soon.

It's a common thing with some of my idiot m8s in the summer, they're always saying let's go fishing when we go fishing? And I've finally told em you dig /collect/buy the bait then we'll go!!
As you know digging lug is back breaking in silt and mackerel, blueys etc ain't cheap.

You bagged up well there Wayne. I've never fished that end of the beach, the shingle bank has always been too much for my tin leg to manage. I think the best I can manage now is Hive/Eype and Seatown. My codling have come from the Tamar and the BC. I've had just about everything from Chesil except a cod.
Well done mate. It can be hard work on the pebbles. Everywhere seems to be fishing OK from Cod this year. Let's hope they stay.
Well done Wayne-wish I could catch the codling! My thumbnail photo was the last one I had at Chesil back in August 2018-I love the Chesil but I think somewhere along the way I must have upset the place!

What a session Wayne, more luck there than in Norway, 😛 Didn't need to travel all that way 🙂 It certainly seems from following a few anglers that the majority of the cod are much further down the country this year. I have not had that many up here in Scotland and normaly we get the good ones! I mighty have to drive south and not north which seems the opposite to what logic says! Cheers Ben

@@TheShoreHunter indeed. I got the season going in mid October but I think I’ll start in September this year! I’m just north of Edinburgh. Don’t get me wrong have had some good sessions but nothing over 2lbs really. Fingers crossed a few last fish. Looking forward to the next video 👍🏼

Great fishing.. right place, right time. Historically, January was always the time to hit the veru occasional lunker off Chesil, surprised to see so many small codling.. no straps either? Some strange going on out there..
Yes buddy you are correct. I haven't seen any big ones this year at all. It's strange that's for sure.

My brother and I are planning on fishing west Bexington next Tuesday.According to the forecast it’s going to be easterly winds do you think it’s going to be ok with those winds. It will be my brothers first time fishing Chesil and we don’t want to walk too far hence why we chose west Bexington. Tight lines buddy. 😊.

The Competition Match hts are a totally different rod, these are 2 piece and the hts are 3 piece mate.

Correct on both. Thete is lots of really good marks everywhere. They just get busy on weekends
When casting you hit the bank behind you so can't you just cast off the top near your bivvy?
The bank was steep all the way. As you seen at low I dropped down and banged it. The bank is a pain at the minute.
