Good advice on the safety , Chesil is a fantastic place to fish but you always have to keep an eye on that swell.

Rule 8 of the specimen award scheme ... 2 rods, 3 hooks or 2 pennels not exceeding 100mm per bait.
But then there's respected clubs and anglers in plymouth using feathers with 'nominated' hooks for the club and the others for bait

great video. The only thing i would say about content is.. do your own thing, people watch different channels for different type of content. The other thing is to think about is, there is only so many big fish you can catch all the time. I really enjoyed this content, nice and relaxed and chilled out session is great content also. Keep up the great work. What about a sea match comp for content. All the best. SK

running up and over rig is never catching the same amount off fish as a pully rig its proven not to sit as well in the tide. and the hooks are way to big you never need a 7\0 for cod fishing

Each to there own but we’re not out there targeting codling , running up and over will hook the fish deep where I pulley will 9 times out of ten mouth hook the fish . And when you have a dump like that on Chesil you will lose more cod than land .. but everyone has there opinion 👍🏻

And I would certainly argue the fact that a pulley rig sits better in the tide the running up and over will leave a free flowing bait in the tide well away from the rig and has worked very well for me over the years. So again each to there own opinion

A proper cod has a massive mouth so 7/0 would be lost in there makes no difference. Also he wasn't targeting cod

Happy new year ANDY! Nice video on my favourite venue! I was interested in some of the things you said, I havnt been in a sea club for years,I think some of the rules are a bit old hat and disappeared last century ! Like the 2 rod only rule! I think you used to have to stick to a maximum of 3 hooks on your 2 rods as well! If a club angler does a bit of lure fishing and catches a specimen fish on his nice new plug with 2 or 3 trebles on technically he's using more than 3 hooks! I can remember years ago 2 patting was a hanging offence in a match or wading above the knee! I agree a plain bomb for rays! I only use a grip if it's a must! Some people like to use grips for a bolt effect but on those southern sandy beaches they can be a devil to break out in fine sand! Chesil been dog city over recent weeks! Keep up the good work!
