  • The Origins seminar was held by Don Came (Kissaki-Kai UK chief instructor) in Västervik, Sweden on the 27th of march 2016.
    It is a eight full episode series that takes you through practical applications of varius classic karate katas. Kissaki-Kai is karate brought back to its true source - as an effective civilian self defence system.

    very good interpretation, I love Naihanchi! Seems to be a simple kata but with an old history and rich content...even Funakoshi trainend very hard Naihanchi!

      The edges of the obi sometimes get worn down from the tying and untying of it. It could be interpreted as time in service. Best to judge his skill level by how he moves. The color of his obi only indicates his skill level within his own dojo. He may have more or less knowledge/skill compared to karateka of other dojo. As long as he continues to study...does it really matter?

    I see realistic close technique, I just don't see any Niahanchi in it. Which is what the title says it is.
