The stratgem fallin off the rock was felt
I remember my first time I found out stratagems couldn’t deploy on rocks… my squad made our way up onto a well defended rock plateau with hordes of bots in pursuit. I had the mortar sentry and thought I was going to be the savior of our group. Utterly sinking feeling watching the stratagem bounce completely off the flat plateau for seemingly no reason into the robot horde 😂😢
@@NickDAngeloUX The worst part of it is that in previous patches you COULD deploy strategems to rocks. Then at some point they stealth removed that ability.
@@clovermite Not exactly. You can STILL deploy stratagems on rocks, just not on every rock in existence.
I suspect that the stratagems don't work on rocks where either players or enemies can't get up to OR environmental destructible rocks. Everything else is fair game for you to place your stratagems.

@@notayetti555 At this point, I believe most rocks can't be deployed on. Every time I've tried in the past month or so they've bounced off, particularly in places where I used to be able to deploy strategems.
The worst offender is a small flat rock formation that appears near extraction in many maps. You can easily get on there in one jump with jetpack, but otherwise can't get up there. Previously, I could deploy on there as much as I wanted, now I can't.
It's not particularly high, it's just a really convenient spot to snipe enemies from, and most basic enemies can't get up on it.
There's not really a logical reason for preventing deployment there unless your goal is to find cheap and unfun ways to make the game more difficult.
After the Starcrafts finale, the zealot found work with the autobots in Helldivers apparently.

As someone who almost exclusively plays bots there’s nothing more infuriating than getting stun locked by rocket raiders and devastators
I can name one thing that is pretty close, when a entire patrol 500ms away shoots through rocks (they are as acurate as in melee range)
Yep but don't forget about the shield bots, they are terrible in a group.
also gotta love the moment when you spear a base 250 meters from you and all the heavy devastators inside not only immediately pinpoint your location but start headshotting you from across the map while you have like 40m of visibility at best.
My solution to all of that for me is to just pet my JAR5 Dominator and then charge in. The stagger is soo nice against rocket and assault devastators.
The only issue I've ever had with stun-lock in the game is Hunters.
That Transformers style transition wipe near the beginning is incredible.
I’m blessed that my dad showed me the show when I was a kid I’m 26 now and I don’t know a single person 30 and below that knows that Transformers jingle

i had 1 Mission with 2 Artillery emplacements withing range of each other with 2 jammers between them and a Detection tower with almost no cover to avoid its line of sight. It was the worst experience i ever had in Helldivers xD
@@Leandra001this was us yesterday on Suicide Mission. Somehow all 3 side quests were in the same side of the map, 100 yards, from each other: a jammer, some flying bois factory, and something else (idk I was running from the flying bois).
It's actually amazing how good Carbot visualized the experience
It's probably because he experienced it. As someone who plays rating 7+, these things have happened atleast once but more often than others like bots dropping in truckloads so massive that it makes a terminid hive blush.

According to reddit comments, they wallhack too and will lead the shot if you're coming from behind rocks/cliffs/walls/etc.
They do not have that. They just shoot at the same spot they last saw you.

The Starcraft Characters have been Isekaied into Helldivers Characters:
1. Crackhead reincarnates into a Helldiver with a Cracked Helmet.
2. Patchling (or Lenny if you're a fan of Lowko) reincarnates a Terminids.
3. Bob the Ragelot reincarnates into a Automaton with Tempramental Issues.
Correction: Bob, who already had temperamental issues receive more temperamental problems

Nah, honestly, the ordinary troopers are pushovers, even in groups. Especially the Brawlers. Their damage is equivalent to Scavengers despite having literal glowing hot blades (I assume, idk what tech they use for those). At least the pistol/blade one has more utility than that

I got killed so many times by random rockets coming out of nowhere. I'm so glad they finally fixed my weapon so I can use the shield generator with it. No random rockets anymore

@@Ceece20 EATS are pretty much useless against Hulks from what I remember. Headshots to the head with the AMR are very good though.

Nothing is more painful than the immediately chaos caused by a rough landing in the middle of an enemy group who will instantaneously call in dropships. The whole planet is a hotbed, despite what the map will tell you.
I appreciated the transformers references... including the curves lasers like the auto-bot city battle. ;)
Music and sound effects were spot-on, I laughed too hard the whole way. Especially the dropships because that is SO REAL...

The last guy reminds me of a time I dropped into a helldive mission with surprising low ranks, max rank amongst the 3 players was 27.
Upon dropping there was just one guy alive and the reinforcement budget already depleted with no objectives done at all, seems like they spawned in and began fighting every bot drop upon bot drop smh.
But immediately after dropping into a bullet hell, the orbital laser made quick work of the hulks and tanks, following with eagle strikes and sniping out the devastators before the rest and within 2 minutes it was finally cleared and everyone had respawned.
Long story short we completed the mission with super samples. I remember it because they were all following me like baby ducklings it was hilarious. And ofc my armor was the white admiral one with the butcher helmet and Malevelon Creek cape which automatically gives you a bot killer buff
I call bull on the orbital laser doing that much. Damn that's thing calls it quits only halfway done killing the second hulk sometimes the first even.
Seen hulks even shrug off eagles.
Only consistency in scrapping them is with the AMR or Auto Cannon
@@thedoomslayer5863 Maybe your Destroyer is defective or is sympathizing with the bots, an orbital laser targets the highest tier enemy nearest to it's radius, and by the time it is done, if removed the travel time between each hulk,. it can destroy 3 hulks and weaken tanks if they're practically next to each other. All you need to do is throw a single impact and they'll drop like an elderly man after you show them your internet fantasies.
@@SparrettCrow Laser is great, but only 3 uses plus the long cooldown is pretty brutal.
Airstrike and 500kg/railcannon give you more bang for your buck against large targets. Airburst or gatling cannon if you have room for a third red stratagem for clumps of small targets.
I ran laser up until red difficulty missions. Just too many enemies for only 3 laser uses.

If I learned anything, deploying into the center of Automaton territory is a VERY bad idea.

Dunno, i find them easier to fight than bugs... I guess it is just my playstyle more suited to them than bugs
Bots are way more manageable due to cover and how easy you can break their lone of sight.. bugs will swarm you with numbers and much harder ro break line of sight with their smell tracking.. I'd rather deal with 2 hulk than 1 stalker.
It has a lot to do with your difficulty. Bugs are definitely harder on 7+.
proper cover use really shuts down bots, at least until they peg you with a rocket at 800m (also _they_ don’t have to deal with dropoff :P)

Honestly it’s why I bring a ballistic shield on automatons. The new SMG also works well to make the shieldy bois stun lock and drop their shield.
