@@tezereth actually its not really random, plus the barrage they sent after you is easily avoidable, clearly you dont love managed democracy enough if you die that early.
My friends and I often intentionally get branded traitors during elimination missions to blow up the enemies with the unlimited artillery. Found out the artillery that is trying to kill you counts towards your kills for each enemy it kills.

I heard if you turn left every 2 seconds, it will always miss hitting you. Just don't get in sight of sentries, they never miss.

@@insertnamehere6659 Unfortunately yes, they also dislike traitors and will focus you instead of bugs/bots if spotted, shooting until you die or runs out of ammo. Pretty terrifying.

I remember when I was marked a traitor and still made it to the evac ship. Only a second later it was hit by an artillery shell and burst into flames, so it had to start immediatly without my friends. I think my hell diver was court-martialed on the destroyer right after this incedent. But man we had a good laught that of all people the traitor survived
The sheer efficiency of Managed Democracy on display here really makes me FEEL like Super Earth!

@@dwyanecelestial7354 I'm Gen X, before cell phones where you had to memorize phone numbers and carry quarters for a pay phone. I wasn't that great at remembering numbers and sometimes would get a "no service" warning.
Command: There is a 2 min cool down on single orbital strikes to help you barely achieve near impossible objectives by the skin of your teeth.
Also Command: The orbital bombardment budget for traitors is unlimited.
The traitor-barrage is just a free stratagem

It’s not totally free it cost 1 point from your reinforcement budget. But i cannot deny it has great potential to be very cost effective compared to how those points would normally be spent.

The Helldiver spawning in without his gun gave me PTSD flashbacks where i struggled to survive without so much as a pistol to help me. It was on a hellfire planet. We were fighting against giant bugs... scavenging the field for dropped weapons by my dead squadmates. Slowly, I made a few custom loadouts of just scavenged weapons - Incendiary Breaker, Railgun, and Supply Pack. Another was the slower-firing SMG and autocannon. The experience gave me actual Fallout vibes, just surviving on what I could find/pick up. 😆

I've had one situation where the leader of the party chose a spot to drop into that was right on the edge of the zone, so as soon as I dropped in, I was too far outside the map to get back before being branded a traitor.
And of course can't forget those AMAZING folks who throw the resupply beacon outside of the mission area...

You can extract on to pelican while they use orbital bombardment at you. I once achieved this alone on the small bug map where you need to kill 100 percent.
Accidently use traitor orbital to kill the remaining 20 percent because the rest of the team gets frustrated and dips out.
Hate it when groups leave early, there have been many times where its just me an one other and we clutch it
@@Necro_fury I know right, they r very easy to get out of the team when there's even a tiny inconvenience.
They left us to gather all the samples they left behind across the map, and we needed to fight all of those objectives alone. In Bug Planet, it felt like running from velociraptor in Jurassic Park when u left alone. In Bot Planet, it felt like im against the whole sky net without another resistence in sight.
Rage quitters need to lower the difficulty 😂 they’re not built for Helldiver difficulty

I hope Carbot animates some of the creepy ways players disconnect. When their body goes limp and all their samples and guns fall off their person when they were just laughing maniacally on a machine gun turret is super creepy.

remember to tap your A and D keys at a nice rhythm while dragging in the artillery ... it helps to keep it from locking onto you !
Yeah, just turn 90 degrees every 3 seconds or so, 'cause bombs try to fall in front of you.
The game does at least warn you and give you ten seconds to get back in bounds, unlike what is shown here.

yup its the unofficial strategem when you get overrun on defend missions. get branded as a traitor then run towards the enemy with free 380 on your ass lol

This is one cheeky episode.
That's about right. The traitor detector has unlimited, anti-jamming service, with unlimited ammunition with quite decent accuracy on the soldier's location at all times.
For those who are unaware what this means, it means despite the strategems that have cooldowns, limited ammunition, or the time it takes to package your gear and lunch, they will ALWAYS have the means to gun you down the moment they detect you going outside the mission zone.

I once made it across a third of the map while being bombarded. shield + explosive resist armor means you can basically take 1 close hit. I kept running towards evac with the expectation I'd die eventually but I just didn't. my poor teammates had to deal with my personal artillery approaching the pelican but everyone successfully extracted.
It's extra funny to me how the super citizen edition helmet player is always depicted as extremely competent in the videos when every time I've seen one in game it's the worst player we've played with that day.

Trick is to turn your "General Area" Into the enemies "General Area" and not your teammates.
For the next video, a good phenomenon would be to show downing a dropship and then have all the enemies survive and shoot at you from within the dropship wreckage anyway 😅
