  • SGR Construction from Nairobi, naivasha to Kisumu City to malaba in Uganda. The government of Kenya is planning to extend the SGR from Suswa in naivasha through Kisumu City to malaba at the Uganda border to Kampala city. standard gauge railway construction in Kenya Documentary. 2023. The Kenya Kwanza administration plans to extend the SGR that stopped in Naivasha to the Kenya-Uganda border in Kisumu, to serve its full purpose.
Roads and Transport Cabinet secretary Kipchumba Murkomen, however, said this will depend on the availability of resources.
He cited the huge public debts which he said are affecting the realisation of key development projects lined up by the government.
“The SGR will eventually be moved to the border because our friends in Uganda are also working on their SGR and this will ensure the remaining connection is done...but not at the current situation,” he said.
“This project will only make sense when it goes past Naivasha as compared to the current situation where we are forced to transport goods by the lake instead of having it through the Kisumu port.”

If this is what they called Chinese colonialisation so let it be. Our people were and are still benefiting from all these Chinese infrastructures all over the country. Not until we allowed haters and outsiders to fill our ears with their jealous councils. I encourage our leaders not to listen to haters coz they are not happy to see Kenya developing fast. If you are not with us, then you are against us.

The jealousy comes from US and European governments. I'm American, so I see the anti China and Russia propaganda nonstop over here. The US and Europe want to keep Africa underdeveloped and impoverished so they can continue to steal your resources. I'm so glad to see some of y'all are becoming more aware of this fact and are finally rejecting US and Europe, France, etc. 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯

Let’s hope this Kenya Kwanza government can get these projects done. Frankly I am very disappointed in their slow pace. All they do is talk, over promise and in actuality they are under performing. If they do not roll out any major projects that impact Kenya’s GDP in a positive way, this Kenya Kwanza administration will be a one term gig. Kenyans want to see development. If you cannot deliver, Kenyans will choose an alternative government.

@@Spinkly well, I guess this will be a lost decade for Kenya 🇰🇪 because Kenya Kwanza is a do nothing government. The entire administration is filled with jokers and clowns 🤡. That Prime Minister Mudavadi is a thief. When I was a young man , I remember him as Finance Minister that was responsible for the biggest loot of the National Treasury through the Goldenburg Scandal. Kenya lost billions under Mudavadi. The other clown is that useless Moses Kuria. All he did for Gatundu people is talk about how rich the Kenyatta’s are. He did not build one single toilet 🚽 in Gatundu. Then we have another story teller called Murkumen. I bet he had lots of girl friends in college, because he says all the right things, but delivers nothing. That is Kenya Kwanza in a nutshell. Clowns 🤡 and Story tellers. The Hustler Fund of 700 shillings is as good as it gets. And when they fail to deliver, they use the oldest trick in politics. Blame it on the previous administration. As Kibaki said,” Bure Kabisa.”

    A number of points.
    1. Kindly don't join the political rhetoric of calling Suswa the Middle of Nowhere. That's David Ndii's talk...and David Ndii talks like that whenever he's not granted participation in a project. The rail ends at the Naivasha SEZ which is nearing completion. If the SEZ is "literally nowhere", then so must be Kisumu, because both Naivasha even promises more benefits to the SGR than Kisimu does (cheap energy for future electrification & national industrialization).
