  • This is a FULL build video.
    In this video we actually build the Arrma Talion RTR into a 7th scale XL version. Although this is a fairly long build, we do what we can to keep it entertaining. Changing the scale of an RC comes with its challenges, but AJ manages to get the job done. So come along as we do this build.
    Wheelie bar from the build is:
    Integy C28674SILVER Aluminum Wheelie Bar Set : Arrma 1/8 Kraton 6S BLX. Look it up on eBay.
    Music:
    MixKit, Party robot
    Epidemic Sound:
    Mindme, Quiet demons
    Deaf Election, Acceler8
    Scoobadive, Eclectic

    This video showed that you can mod the Talion that's sooooo under rated in the rc world. After watching this video I went out and up graded my Talion EXB talion to the mohave chassis. Thank you for all the great bashing videos, how to and review videos. The sheer amount of information you give has educated me and I've been able to tell others to watch your videos in order to learn.

      Received both items in good order however one of the items is faulty. It does not respond or function correctly like the other one I received. I don't won't a full refund as one item is functioning perfectly. I would just like half of the original amount refunded.

    Nice build, we did something similar, but we used Kraton arms to make it wider and use bigger wheels and also Mojave exb suspension and towers. We akso use 160 amps esc and bigger motor and a Russian body wich is quite heavy but very strong!

    Nice supercut I know editing vids like that can be a bear. I'd love to have a talion but for me it's the price point, and on that note the same goes for the fireteam. It's still on the list tho, (behind the Mojave lol). . the only thing I would suggest to those who have the cash would be m2c's offerings as they have both a heavier built chassis for bashing and a speed chassis for the crazies such as myself . Also interesting how you did the body mounts in back because typically people just go to Amazon and order those anodized aluminum standoffs and I like that you showed a little ingenuity which reminds us we don't have to all build them like cookie cutters (slowly turns gaze to Arrma powered Stampede I lovingly call Dr. Frankenfoot) anywho I rant .. keep it up AJ. Fine work you do for the community. Subbed even though I thought I already had. Peace! ✌️

    Hey Aj, really love the channel. How do you keep the backflip LP tires from rubbing the arms. I ended up doing the rpm arms and backflip LP like you but they end up rubbing the front and back of the arms.

    • @AJJAMStudios
      @AJJAMStudios  Před 2 lety

      Having upgraded to the RPM arms for this build the LPs don't hit at all. I never tried to install them on the stock arms, so the thought never occurred to me. Thanks for asking, 😎👍

    • @AJJAMStudios
      @AJJAMStudios  Před 2 lety

      Our local plastic dealer, form boards and cutting board materials, sells it in 4x8 foot sheets and we use it at work, but a plastic cutting board made of good material will work just as well. We were lucky enough to come across some black material and we used that. I actually do not recall the name of it. Wish I could help more than that. Still, thanks for asking 😎👍

  • @paulclancy2404
    @paulclancy2404 Před 2 lety +1

    Better use talion being has shorter axles less stress on the diffs. Im tired ordering rebuilding arrma diffs i swore id only do swb arrmas but going give exb diffs a try , in fairness the diff I just blew had the original pinion and case and is the v1 version being lazy I just threw another diff I had rebuilt and seems the input slid back allowing the pinion to move back and forth . Im not messing with old case ill just change whole assembly 40$ 50$ for exb if do just ring pinion its 30 and using the tired plastics . I've taken a page from you changing to exb chassis

    • @paulclancy2404
      @paulclancy2404 Před 2 lety

      Aj you do like the exb diffs ? You think they last longer than standard spiral cut ,

    • @AJJAMStudios
      @AJJAMStudios  Před 2 lety

      Shimmed properly the standard diffs do pretty well. I just don't care for the limited slip system in general. The LSD diffs are tougher that the original design, mostly due to the new, heavier gearing, but I find the stock ones are easier to tune (my opinion only). New cases can help, but the shimming is paramount to longevity. Please, let me know which way you choose to go, and, if possible, why? I'm genuinely curious. Thanks for asking. AJ

Thanks

    • @AJJAMStudios
      @AJJAMStudios  Před 10 měsíci

      At the end of the day, it’s your choice. I love my Talions, both of them. Depending upon the condition of each, I would likely go for the stock one. That would allow me to choose the upgrades for myself.

    • @fraserhanvey9739
      @fraserhanvey9739 Před 10 měsíci

      I mean its a perfectly good car stock so that's a great point, just seems a such a bargain the m2c chassis being titanium and stuff but yeah probably overkill for what I'm doing with it

    • @AJJAMStudios
      @AJJAMStudios  Před 10 měsíci

      Our Talion XL handles more like the Kraton now with the larger tires, we use the Fireteam tires on ours, and of course, the longer chassis, which comes from the Mojave EXB 6s, but it still handles awesome. The flips are slower and more controllable, but it definitely changes the feel of the RC. That's a tough one. Best of luck choosing. Please let us know which way you decide to go and let us know how you like it after you've run it a while. We're always interested to get feedback on things like this. Thanks. AJ
