I am so excited to show you guys my Nina Bonina Doll! She is a contestant in RuPaul's Drag Race Season 9, and I have been so inspired with everything that she comes up with. This is the look she came down the runway with, and it represented her hometown. I thought it was so cool to see a painter down the runway, and I wanted to see what I can do with this concept. I hope you guys like her!

Acetone or nail polish remover
Sealants : Mr. Super Clear (MSC) or Krylon's Matte Finish
Watercolor pencils: Faber Castle
Chalk Pastels
Brushes
White paint
Gloss varnish
Apoxie Sculpt

That's a good way to make custom historically accurate doll wigs from the past eras, like renascence or colonial times. Speaking of which, anyone notice that there are no dolls based on the colonial times aside the limited edition dolls?

Do you mean dolls in general or this specific brand? Because American Girl Dolls definitely have a few colonial-era dolls: Kaya, Felicity, and Elizabeth
David Boucard I never thought of that to be honest, but let's say all dolls. I mean I have seen the AG dolls from different times, but not from times like Victorian era or something like that
CooperGal24 Hmmm... I see what you mean. American Girl has Samantha and Nellie from the Industrial Revolution (~1900s) but tbh I'm not familiar with the difference between American and British fashion/styles during that era. I guess you'd have to search through some _extra_ vintage collection of dolls to find that specific style. It sucks because that era had great style.

BTW quick question. I'm working on my own custom and I want to make a doll's body a different color, but the paint won't stick. Do you have any tips on how to get the paint to stick?
awe thank you so much! :D it will chip off no matter what but maybe sanding the body a little bit will help the paint stick to it
