Doin' the Lord's work over here, nice CC.
Funny dealership story:
I took my F56 because the mesh screen at the sunroof was stuck forward. (rather it be stuck closed than open!)
The delership said it was $3000 to fix. That's right, $3k.
I asked "what's wrong with it".
They said "it's stuck".
No crap! lol. They continued to say they wouldnt know why it was stuck until they replaced the whole thing, which costs 3 freaking thousand big ones.
Long story short my sunroof mesh will forever stay stuck closed lol.
My wife’s warranty is about to expire on her Mini and I’m going to start doing the maintenance on her car. This is a big help thank you!
Glad it helps, thanks so much for watching!!!
Me over here in my 2016 Mazda 6 which I changed Sparks at 90k and they were pristine lol.
😅
Excellent video!
Thanks so much for watching!!
Good stuff!
Thank you!!
Thanks for watching!
It would be better and much appreciated if you show what you are doing rather than just show the part and do it without showing us. Eg you show the electrical connectors and then you say take them out. But we can’t see that. Can’t see close up of you taking the spark plug out, just from a distance. Thanks!
Appreciate the comment! Thanks for watching!
Thanks again for helping..godbless
Thanks so much for watching!
I took mine in for an alignment since I doubt anyone does alignments in their garage. It was $190. They then randomly recommended I get my motor mount replaced for $1200 without specifying why they thought I needed it.
That’s how they get you! 😅
Some early f series did have motor mount issues however you would really notice it if something was wrong
@@carcreationsyt I'm having an issue with steering wheel feedback around 70mph. I've had the tires rebalanced. Not sure what to look at next. I think they might have said that could be the motor mount.
@@OplixI had the same thing on my 2015 Mini. At higher speeds on the highway, usually over 65, it would randomly start vibrating and it felt like it was coming from the front driver's side wheel. I think it was an axle bearing problem or something. Happened maybe every 15-20 minutes while at that speed. I ended up trading in the car because I was around 90k miles at that point and my car had some decent value during COVID. I never found the true problem. Good luck!
@@xocomaoxdrivers side, err US UK - LHD RHD ??
You can look at the top engine side mount easily, as I read the one failing most, if it looks like it collapsed and if it leaks some oil it’s broken. Check on parts website for an image of a new one…
You shouldn’t be topping up brake fluid. It’s low for a reason. When brakes wear, piston travel increases so reservoir level decreases. When you change the pads and press the positions back in, you’ll leak fluid out of the reservoir
My 2020 Cooper S is on only 7500 miles. It had one dealer service and its recent MOT. I can't recall when its last service is due but I would keep it that long. My nephew is buying the car for an already agreed £18,000 GBP just as soon as he sells his VW Polo GTi.
I will be getting a Mini Lvl 3 SE
That’s awesome!! Keep the minis in the family eh?
What colour are you going for with the new mini se?
@@carcreationsyt The new one is also going to be black. We do have Minis in the family, both my middle son and oldest daughter have an R55 clubman each and my youngest daughters name is Mini.
Hey ,
I will get the new ( MINI COOPER C 3-DOOR CLASSIC )
next month
1 - what is monthly fuel cost ........ in your case for example ?
2- Have you had any incidents with potholes ?
3 - Do you advice me change break pads and disk in dealership ?
Thanks
Excellent video my friend, but do you know how can I register the service in the "Service History" in the car's computer? That would be very useful.
Greetings from Mexico!
Hello!! Thanks for watching!
I believe you have to code it in using esys, or some other programs like that. Maybe I’ll do a video on it at some point
Very nice video😊, could you do it for the N47 2L SD please 😉?
Thanks for watching! Unfortunately we don’t have any Diesel MINIS in North America
@@carcreationsyt oh🥹 really they are great and so powerfull .
Well thx anyway and continu your vidéos😉
Question. Do you have to "Cut" bump stops on the rear shocks when installing H&R (1.1inch) springs on a 2021 Cpr S?
Good question! I am not sure. Maybe the forums will know?
Good Man Ah
Thank you!
My gf just leased a 2023 Clubman. The sales manager tried to sell her a Maintenance upgrade package that he said covers a "transmission belt" not covered by the manufacturers warranty. Anyone know, true or false?
It’s a part that can get worn so that makes sense however I have NEVER heard of it going on a car…
I have owned a bunch of f series up to 200,000 km and no issues with that.
Definitely a money grab!
@@carcreationsyt Thank you !
Just get Mini Service Inclusive and Repair Inclusive..
I told MINI to change my Engine Oil and an my brake pads and disc an the dust shield an they didn't do sh**, an now all of sudden my car feels like its lacking in power, my car is 2023 MINI Countryman 1.5L 3 Cylinder turbo is there a reason why it does that?
Yikes, that’s horrible!
Any check engine lights or rough running?
@@carcreationsyt Nope none whatsoever, but I'm thinking its carbon built up, so I'm planning to put E5 into my tank an run it on the motorway for awhile to get rid of the carbon thats probably built up inside of it, if that doesn't work then I will just leave it as it is or buy a Launch OBD scanner.
@@BusTrainsGuy18 I’ve got a 2017 1.5 3 cylinder turbo hatch, noticed mines been lacking power too😢 did the E5 help?
05w30 or 0w20?
Both work however the latest service bulletin says 0w-20
Crasy recommendation: sparkplugs are good für 100000 km and will not get old through years! Never never change spark pluges at home. If you broke one or damage the head this will
be a financial desaster.....
How do I reset the service messages? It says “reset possible” but when I try to do it, it says unsuccessful
