- ILS is a cutting-edge lighting system that makes creating coordinated light shows across different fixture types easy and fast. Now, one of the most popular products in the CHAUVET DJ catalog - the GigBAR Move - becomes GigBAR Move + ILS and controls the new Integrated Lighting System to control any ILS-compatible fixture wired or wirelessly so you can spend less time programming and your event guests can get to the good times sooner!

It would be nice to see an ILS control hub for the fixtures that doesn't require the purchase of the gigbar as well. For larger shows a gigbar isn't super viable when covering a large area and often won't fit in with the look of a more professional gig.
Looks pretty kool - time to upgrade my GigBar Move. 32 watt LED Moving Heads is a nice upgrade 👍
Yes! Go for it 🙌🏼
Love ❤️😍 it.
Hope price will not be a problem
My question. Those the gigbar install on wall. Just in case you wish to permanently install them in a pub?
The Setup in the studio is about 3k,
the demo setup is about 6,5k.
While the GigBAR Move + ILS is flexible in terms of set-up, it is not recommended for permanent installation.
@@GeoffreyShort thank you Geoffrey 😊
Just a heads up… I’m almost sure in the video it says it will not be dmx capable but it is in fact fully dmx ready with in and out on the gigbar and full dmx tables in the manual. I love it. Taking it for a spin tonight!
So is the gigbar + the big receiver unit , because I was thinking that ILS can be used as a wireless DMX , with the USB DIFI , BECAUSE if I have to buy the gigbar that's a big no go , but if I can use my fixtures
does it have a wireless footswitch and how much is difi .....to sync two of these you just plug the di fi in one of them or both ? does the footswich control difi?
I'm so glad they finally have an RF controller. I have a couple of gigbar 2 units and the IR controller just don't seem to respond well. If I buy one of these can I use it for the master to control my two Gigbar 2 units in master/slave and run it all using the RF remote?
I’m wondering the same. I just ordered gigbar ils but I do have gigbar 2 and planning to use them together if that works
Is it possible to slow down the moving heads in sound to light mode? They are frantic! Even turning the sensitivity right down doesn’t help. They are just a blur on the dance floor. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Do you guys plan update the ILS firmware from time to time? Maybe control the ILS via Iphone/Ipad in the future (via IPhone adapter)?
Anything's possible!
Hi guys! In the video it says that the ILS system can work from the left or right side of the Gigbar (modes 1-4). I have two Gigbar move + ILS systems and although I can slave one to the other using ILS, it is an exact replica of the lights on the first (where I would like to set it as a mirror image and place one Gigbar either side of the stage). Is there an option for this? Or is it a possible firmware update for the future? I think the ILS ecosystem was generally thought of as using one Gigbar in the middle of the setup, but if you own two you are going to want to place them at either side of the stage/room!
8:30 It is a pity. Controlling ILS by DMX or another programmable source would be great for people that want a bit more control.
But I think the point of this system is to get an easier way to create a synchronized light show without DMX.
@@croissantproductions Of cause, but the option would make it more attractive for a wider field of customers. It is just a small software feature that would enable less wiring cables.
@@croissantproductions Yes - that is exactly the point.
Of course DMX is the ultimate in control. But as has been mentioned, the whole point of the ILS system, is the ability to create coordinated, synchronized lighting looks WITHOUT DMX. Many users of products like the GigBAR and other effect lights don't have an interest in the programming time for DMX. This new technology gives them an option. Keep in mind, you can still use DMX programming with the GigBAR Move + ILS and other ILS-compatible fixtures as you can with any LED light. It's just the ILS feature of being able to Master/Slave different fixture types with the GigBAR that is unique to this new technology.
Just unboxed it and it indeed does support dmx with full tables in the manual and in and out in the gigbar. Which is amazing.
You all have to talk about Chauvet fixtures that don’t have ILS usb… can a D-FI dongle be used ??
will the gig abr ils snyc & control the gig bars without ils?
In your Demo (and thumbnail) you have 2 Gigbars running „in sync“
I bought myself 2 Gigbar Move + ILS but I have no idea how to run them simoustanly. Both of them have D-Fi On and are set on channel 1.
What am I doing wrong?
Also, if I press a button on the remote, the result on light is always different.
My Gigbars just dont „talk“ to each other 🤷♂️🙈
Would be great to get an answer soon, because I have some gigs coming up. Maybe you could do a video, on how to set up 2 Gigbar Move + ILS and get them synced.
Thanks!
jesus, use dmx cable to connect them
Will it come in a white version soon?
You never know! But probably not "soon".
I would really like to be able to operate the gigbar with dmx.
Does it come in white??? Just like the previous gigbars?
Not yet.
Are Chauvet moving away from their BT Air app?
I'm glad they are. The app for those fixtures is trash.
No. BT is still going strong.
Where is your breakdown of how to use the remote and the ILS?
OK BUT WHEN DOES IT COME OUT AND HOW MUCH IS IT!!???
Your local or online dealers can give you pricing but it will be widely available in stores by September. Pre-order!
Interedting but I'll be sticking to SoundSwitch... easy to control, more control, better shows and don't need to buy a load of new features!!
That's a great option - a DMX option, which ILS is purposely not - but a good one.
The fact that you need to spend over $1,300 dollars to be able to use this system is very disappointing. And that’s just for the gigbar. If you want to take advantage of the ILS in the gigbar you would need to buy other ILS fixtures which would probably cost over $1,500 dollars because evry ILS fixture is over $100. Another problem is that the gigbar is supposed to be a stand-alone all-in-one system, but they are now wanting you to buy extra lights to hook up with it. I love the idea, but the way it works is very limiting.
If I had to be a betting person, you could add non ILS pars using a D-Fi XLR receiver(s) and have additional pars respond the same way as the pars on the Gig Bar Move+. Still early in the game for this stuff. I’d wait and see what others get to do with it, plus the other folks who will make their own product videos on this stuff. I’m still intrigued with this.
They want you to throw out the old gigbar to use this ILS, marketing mayhem.
Also as an electronics technician I can confirm that most of the parts used wouldn't add up to 100 dollars, it's all cheap Chinese leds and boards. They use some factory in China and slap their logo on it. There's nothing special about these lights it's all marketing. And really what's with the 80s tv antenna for the remote lol
That's great feedback. The message is not "go buy a GigBAR MOve + ILS and ten new lights". The GIgBAR Move + ILS is definitely a stand-alone system as all the GigBARs are. In and of itself it's a powerhouse with major upgrades from the GigBAR Move (which is not being replaced and which we don't anyone to "throw away"), including bright 32-watt moving heads (the equivalent in size and brightness to the Intimidator Spot 160), hex-colored pars, quad-colored derbys and bright 5-watt LED strobes. So whether or not a user invests anything more, the GigBAR is a beast. With the new RF remote you have the ability to customize the looks the GigBAR Move + ILS creates. For instance, you can isolate effects - just movers, or just color-wash pars, for example). You can freeze the entire light show so all movement stops. You can scroll through colors for the look you want, etc. These are just a few examples. Like Bluetooth control, D-Fi XLR, or D-Fi USb technology, ILS is a new ecosystem of control that users can build on over time if they wish or not. But soon most CHAUVET DJ products will be ILS compatible so as users naturally phase in new lights, they will be equipped to take advantage of this option.
@@TheFMusician You can definitely use DMX with the GIgBAR Move + ILS in traditional DMX configurations. But DMX and ILS features do not combine or work together in that way.
@@mrsteel8501 Nope. We don't want anyone throwing out anything. We want mobile entertainers and other lighting users to see increased profits and business through lighting, that's it. Always the right tool for the right job - even if that tool is a ten year old SlimPAR. But that will never prevent us from developing new technology and products. As far as the quality of our products, the investments we make in the highest quality components in our lights is well-documented and proven.
🙂 lg
Thanks for the feedback. We would encourage you to take a closer look at the functions of the GigBAR Move + ILS. It has bright 32-watt moving heads (the equivalent in size and brightness to the Intimidator Spot 160), hex-colored pars, quad-colored derbys and bright 5-watt LED strobes. All major upgrades from the GigBAR Move. With the new RF remote you have the ability to customize the looks the GigBAR Move + ILS creates. For instance, you can isolate effects - just movers, or just color-wash pars, for example). You can freeze the entire light show so all movement stops. You can scroll through colors for the look you want, etc. These are just a few examples, but any more specific control is what DMX is for and not the intent of the ILS technology (although you certainly can use DMX with the GigBAR Move + ILS in traditional ways). This is a product and technology designed at a specific price point for a specific segment of lighting users who may not be familiar with or interested in DMX programming or other features different categories of our products have like PowerCON connections and others.
Cheap looking laser😂😂. Come on, man!
One complaint... when are we going to stop using those antique antennas??? Rubberized, rugged antennas have been a thing for years now! That is a major fail on this system. Seriously... how much extra would a rugged antenna have cost you?
And… completely out of touch with the consumer. Weird
I hate the gig bars. They look tacky af
To each his own (: A lot of people love GigBARs. They find them very helpful and like how easy they are to set up/break down.
Then don't buy one!
All the gig bars are junk no control and lame
Did you not watch the video? This Gigbar has lots of control with the remote
The GIgBAR Move + ILS has both a footswitch and a new RF remote (no line of sight operation necessary) that allow a lot of control including the ability to customize the looks the GigBAR Move + ILS creates. For instance, you can isolate effects - just movers, or just color-wash pars, for example). You can freeze the entire light show so all movement stops. You can scroll through colors for the look you want, etc. These are just a few examples, but any more specific control is what DMX is for and not the intent of the ILS technology (although you certainly can use DMX with the GigBAR Move + ILS in traditional ways)
@@GeoffreyShort just opened mine… it’s also fully dmx capable with the tables in the manual. Not sure why the said in the video it wouldn’t be.
@@ZykoMike So glad you got yours! Please share how you use it! Go get 'em!
God it's ugly, why does the bar have to be so HUGE?
Lol. All in the eye of the beholder!
because there is no 4th dimension to hide the internals
@@croissantproductions Lol.
