exalted is my Lord.. how honorable you are!
أحبك والكون فيه سكون
I love you when the universe is still
كوجه الغدير إذا ما صفا
like the surface of a pond when it's at its clearest

وإن هاج يوم وزمجر رعد
and (I love you) when it's enraged with roaring thunder
وأزبد موج وطل عفى
and angry waves and overwhelming rain
ففيك ادكاري إذا ما خلوت
because you are the one I remember when I'm alone
وبان حبيب وخل جفا
when a lover leaves and a friend abandons
وفيك اعتباري وسط الجموع
and through you I get my esteem amongst the crowds
فمنك تعلمت حسن الوفا
as I've learned my good manners and rightful loyalty from you
ومهما تضلع من غيث حبك
no matter how much my heart drinks from the stream of your love.
قلبي.. فما زاد أو أسرف
it never is enough or too much

there is no loving, motherly woman -no matter how compassionate
بأرحم منك ولا أرأف

ألست الكريم الحليم الذي
aren't you the noble, forbearing one?
إذا ما أسيء إليه عفا
the one whom whenever wronged, would forgive and forget?
ألست الإمام لدى المرسلين
aren't you the leader of all the messengers?
براقك بالكون قد طوف
your riding animal has roamed the world
أغالب فيك فؤادا شغوفا
I'm struggling for your sake with a passionate heart
بحبك يرجو بأن يشرف
that hopes to be honored through your love one day

then tell me who was ever able to give you your rightful justice?
