Muhammad Lawal was an absolute beast in his prime. I hope Jiri continues to clean some of the holes in his game. He so incredibly talented he just takes so many unnecessary risks.
Props to Lawal for being the only one to do this to Jiri. His only L since 2013, his style LOOKS risky, but that's the whole point. He makes you think he's an easy target and then lands from unusual angels. He hasn't been knocked down yet in his 3 UFC fights. He's 30 years old and seems to have a great chin and recovery.
@@unlimitedbars his recovery is absolutely ridiculous. I mean if Glover hit him with the slightest shot in the fifth round he would’ve been out cold and he ended up winning…
he just has to stop putting finger in peoples eyes and focusing on his skills. he did it to reyes to, then it worked out here not

Jiri avenged his loss and even tho Mo was 38, was on a two fight losing streak and was at the end of his career still gave Jiri a good fight before getting finished in the third but no one mentions that, then there are people like you trying to discredit Mo's win over Jiri. Jiri was so much more unpolished here. Going literally head first, hands down, wild punches. Hes a much more calculated killer now.

Tbh he did have a fight for 10 minutes before this one, his hands where down, but he was basically exhausted after the first fight and the g&p he received in this bout.
Love to see King Mo have a KO over a relevant title contender in the UFC.
King Mo is a definition of fighter who can beat anybody and lose to anybody- beating two top guys like Jiri and Gegard Mousasi, but losing twice to Emanuel Newton.

@@e.a.poecrnimacak354 except that fight to Mousasi wasn't a convincing win. He would take Mousasi down and then get beat up while on top the whole fight. He got whooped from Gegard on the bottom. He only won because of importance of takedowns for a decision
@@dustincupples7735 I mean, getting wrestlefucked and not being able to do anything about it isn't a convincing performance either. Gegard couldn't do anything to Mo from the bottom. Mo ragdolled him in the entire fight and took him down whenever he wanted to, not to mention that Mo landed some decent shots himself. Gegard was 28-2-1 and lost to a guy with 6 MMA fights in a title fight. That was a legit win for Mo.
This was the SECOND fight in ONE Night, also he already fought just two days prior to this. Just crazy.

never realized big john mccarthy was allowed to officiate rizin fights in addition to bellator and as he stated in todays weigh in podcast being the referee for jiri's last mma loss.
Jiri had a grueling 10 minute fight just before this one (same night) he was then on the ground and struggled to get up making him more tired, that definitely adds as to why he was walking forward, hands down, chin up. He did learn a lot from that night though, winning the rematch and going 12-0 after this one. Glover fight should be good, love to see him vs jj. Though I think jj beats any human that can make 205lbs

I remember waking up early in the morning to watch this event on Spike TV. Jiri Prochazka impressed me but I thought he was never going to make it to the UFC. Followed his career in Rizin and to my amazement he made it and became Champion. Boy does time fly.

1:38 What the hell happened? It looks like JIRI's brain suddenly shut down. He's moving normally and then suddenly he goes slack and just stumbles forward like a zombie. That's when he gets clipped and ko'ed. Did he gas and hit the wall? Not taking anything away from Mo, but Jiri was like a mortal kombat character waiting to be fatalitied at that precise moment, anyone would have ko'ed him.
We got another tape guy I see.. lol I think that ground and pound he never really recovered from. He definitely underestimated Mo’s power trying to walk him down like that.

Yeah, I felt like that punch didn't have a lot on it. It appears much harder in the replay than it looked in real time, though. I'm guessing it was right on the button, so the lack of acceleration didn't diminish the amount of energy delivered. Anything can happen in this great sport.

Khabib can't box, so he developed a safety-first style. He stays 5 feet away the whole fight, making him impossible to hit. Eventually, he darts in and snatches your legs out from under you, then lays on top of you and King Kongs you. There's no defense for his unorthodox style. That's why he's 30-0.

He uses insane pressure and starts a pocket exchange that forces the opponent to either defend strikes or strike back, opening the chance at a takedown. If the opponent is succeeding at defending khabib's fence work, he will focus on judo to trip/throw them to the ground, which will almost certainly win him the round since he's so good at controlling anybody on the ground
honestly havent been impressed by Jiri since he got to the UFC. He's been in danger in all his fights in the UFC and has mostly been knocking out cans before his arrival to the UFC. He looked awful against Glover and won that by the tip of his foreskin. I do not see him reigning for long. His style is not sustainable against the best in the UFC.
