I bought my Elantra N almost 2 monthes ago and I love it! Infact I debadged it and added an i30 badge to it, cleans up the rear quite a bit too, not to mention the upcoming "what's an i30?" Also with its concept car looks, it deserves a letter and numeral name IMO!

Im a big fella and i sat in the hatchback and the seats have a support rail inside the bottom side bolsters where your thighs rest. Absolutely painfull everytime i threw it into corners. This was the base model n . Not sure if the premo hatch seats are the same. I then sat in the sedan. Talk about night and day! No intrusive metal side bolster. Absolutely beautiful to sit in and drove better i.m.o. autos in both cars. Looks like the sedan for us bigger guys.

@K D They are definitely different. 86 is traditional manual rear RWD sports car that needs after market parts to shine, whilst the elantra is modern with no mods required as everything is customisable from factory. Also practical. NZ dealers are already marking up $10,000 for the 86. Not worth it. $52k drive away for a car engineered by BMW M division Albert Biermann. His retiring soon. That's the pergect way to accelerate. A DCT (or any other gearbox I've seen) revs to peak power and beyond, has a moment where there is no power transmitted to the wheels, then applies less than peak power as it accelerates from the next gear. Those moments of zero power, even if only 10 ms and the fact that less than peak power is being applied a lot of the time mean that it cannot match the performance of a CVT. I know CVT has its downsides, but acceleration is not one of them.

I have a 2021 STI. It may not be the fastest thing on the roads, but in the wet and twisty roads it’ll kill your stinger. It looks way wayyyy better then a Stinger. And with the 3” Invidia S/S N1 single exit race exhaust system I have on it it also sounds way wayyy nicer then a stinger. And it turns heads all the time. Not to to mention, whose do you think will be worth more of its original RRP in 2-3 years, mine or yours??
