I got mine 2 months ago with black roof and performace blue, its one of the best looking cars and the feelings driving it are awesome. Its so sad they are getting grid of it because i would like more people to enjoy this small beast.
Absolutely gutted they have discontinued the i20N and i30N. Adored this car!
WHYYYY... I wanted one so bad when I had a driver's license. Of course they discontinued it.
On a run you can get over 50mpg. I got my Performance Blue i20N in December and I've done a few long runs in it, I stick it in Eco on the motorway for cruising and returned 51.5mpg on a 7 hour drive. Of course it's far less when you go round country lanes in N mode, but I was very impressed with it on the longer journey.
Next week I'll be picking up mine. Almost last one in my country. It has been my dream car for 3 years and when I heard the news I knew what I had to do :)
Wow well done! Congratulations 🙌🤩
I wanted Dragon red with black roof, so I made a factory order and after a years wait, got it in December. It's my first sporty car and my daily, love it. I had PPF and sound insulation installed, currently I've got half the rear interior removed and I'm in the middle of installing strut braces. I like to tinker with things so I'll probably try upgrading the speakers and possibly making a custom wing for it in the upcoming years.
Same here man, I am picking up mine next week Friday. Also had to act fast. One of the few last pieces in my country ever.
same here, bought one of the last four in italy yesterday, i'd have preferred to wait some more but i really couldn't't miss the chance
@@michelgiordano5146 Congrats my fellow Nthusiast! :) What color did you get?
Great review, Hyundai are making a big mistake, after the demise of of the Ford ST, this was really the last sub 2 Lite, manual hot hatch with a stick shift and a manual hand break. Absolutely hate the idea of driving an electric box they have no soul….Unfortunately there are fewer and fewer people passionate about driving ……Rest in peace the HOT HATCH.
Thanks John, yes it’s not a good time to be a petrolhead!
i tried a couple of years ago to get on the waiting list for an i20n in australia and they said the wait is so long they wont bother. so i kept going with my polo gti a while longer. i ordered my i20n last week and supposedly i'll have it by the end of next month. i havent been this excited in the longest time about a car
Did you get one?
We got our i 30 N under a year old and 3 k on the clock from a main dealership in stoney Stratford, Milton Keynes, as soon as i found out production was to end , and we saved over 6 grand on a brand new one which were impossible to order , we got the dct and with tge N lights seats , what an amazing car me and the wife loves it and puts a smile on our faces every time we drive it 😊😊😊
You got a great deal! Glad to hear you’re enjoying it!
This is tragic. I really thought that Hyundai were going to properly influence and develop the car industry by kicking back in to gear cool performance cars, but it seems they are axing it already. I hope that this isn't the end for them, there better be a replacement coming!
A proud owner here, for four months now, and It's really harsh to acknowledge that this is probably my last hot hatch, ever.
Such an amazing little car, father just got one and my god its glued to the road on corners.
Very nice!
I owned an i20N what a great car. Just purchased an i30N hatch before you can't get them anymore. Hyundai, you need to rethink your performance car direction, it's NOT ELECTRIC!
petrol or ev aside, the 20n performace is so fun so emotional, it is a true shame the ended the production for the e.u
Totally agree, and I’m just so pleased I took delivery of my new I20N before they closed the order book. Absolutely brilliant car.
About 30 copies were imported to Poland over the course of 2 years. And I am the lucky owner of one of them
I was also sad when I heard about the i20 N and i30 N stoppage. I think that Hyundai wants more margin with the IONIQ 5 N, which costs more than two i20 N! 🤑
I managed to buy before they finished here in Europe at least, ordered May 23 and collected end of January 24 really enjoy it and so glad I bought before used was the only option, I even gone to the expensive of getting a complete PPF some would say I must be mad 😂😂😂, but I think it was worth it as I keep my cars for a number of Years.
I picked my Kona N last year before they stopped making them. So glad I did.
Kona N is a really interesting car!
I'll be picking up one of the last i20n Performances next week. I'm so glad I got another one and will treasure it. I've been driving an i30 classic 2012 so far and I'm very excited to see how the i20n Performance will drive. Unfortunately I wasn't able to take a test drive, but I'm sure that my dream car won't disappoint me.
I just bought mine today. Delivery miles. Same spec as reviewed here. Pick up next week. Bring it on!
Dealership had two in stock. Both sold within the same morning 😇
Hope you enjoy it!
@@DrivenPlus Thank you! Will let you know after the running in period is complete! 👍
Great review mate, currently thinking of getting one of these, always loved them!
Thank you and go for it!
We love ours. Mostly takes the kids to school. But a proper bit of kit with LSD etc. Ours currently wearing Conti all seasons.
I'm so glad I've managed to get myself an i30N, I've had for like 6 months and has been so much fun, every drive just puts a smile on my face and that's what it's all about, very sad that both the i30N and the i20N have been discontinued.
Great to hear!
I've got this truly amazing car and thank goodness in Australia we'll get a facelift model of this and the i30n hatchback, but I'd say that'll be it😢. I absolutely loved your reaction to it💙
Thanks Claudia, at least you’ll be getting the facelift
But no face lifted i20n? I've always thought that these look more cute and mischievous, than "aggressive"
I have mine since december 2021 and can confirm this is an amazing car
Has it been reliable? Any issues?
Thanks for the video. I have one of these on order. Shame they've removed the mild hybrid but they have added a sunroof in the Ultimate version, which you didn't even mention!
Great review. Nice little hot hatch 👌🏼
Thanks! 👍
Good review Max, thank you
No problem, thanks Neil 👍
All that exactly why we did. Chassis welded in 12 extra places. Fully loaded out the box. Screen also configurable. I explain it as the love child of a 205 gti and an e46 M3
Got one of the first in the Uk. Great on track love it. Small point though, it doesn’t have 4 pot front calipers.
I am picking up mine next week Friday. Intense blue pearl with black roof. One of the last few pieces ever available in my country, I had to act fast.
Hate the insane "green" policy in Europe and am not interested in lifeless electric boxes on four wheels.
Congratulations 👏
I was about to buy one but they are already sold out here, feels bad.
Oh no!
Just put my order in yesterday here in Sydney Australia. Estimated delivery date of mid December 2024.
Enjoy!
I've always fancied a go in one of these, I quite like them
Very fun car!
Fantastic review, picking up our i20n on Saturday from Hyundai. Managed to get a demo with the Bose system and its blue😊😊😊😊😊
Good choice and enjoy!
The cuteness factor of it though😂
This is my dream car.
eventhough the i30 n and i20 n have been discontinued, i doubt its the last we'll see from ICE from Hyundai. Hyundai's hybrids are quite robust aswell with dct gearboxes. i reckon we'll see a N hybrid before 2035.and a special lineup of 100 cars have already been confirmed for the n vision 74
I think it was probably priced at around 500.000$ in Korean money. yes
Bring this back, along with the Kia Stinger.
WTH is going through Kia-Hyundai’s mind?
"I visited my local Hyundai dealer and was informed by the salesman that the production of I20N has been stopped in order to shift the focus towards IONIC N. I am guessing that this move may indicate the launch of a new i20 and i30."
Only 2 of these came to Ireland after a year & a half waiting time ,glad I got mine new just 3 months ago ,I have a black one & there is a silver one here also , price was crazy high here compared to the uk but will hopefully hold value because of the rarity here , sad day to see the end of the hot hatches
Only 2!? Wow!
@@DrivenPlus yes & the price here was 43,000 euros which converts to nearly 37,000 pounds
😮😮😮
Believe me that the front brakes are only single pot but a huge piston it was one of the first thing I checked before putting my money down on mine . I had to wait 19.5 months for delivery to me in Australia we don’t get heated seats unfortunately but Bose stereo standard as a consolation it’s the best decision to buy mine in performance blue I’ve put 7600 km on mine and the PZero have lost the grip from me so Michelin PS4S soon but going from 215/40/18 to 225/40/18 to bring down the 0-100kmph time with removing the need to use 3rd gear to get their.
So you can get faster speed with bigger tires?
@@wokencs330 with the slightly inaccurate Speedo it indicates 100kmph but not actually 100kmph so the tyre size make 0-100 in second gear not third gear so you can bring the 0-100km time down .
Not 4 pot Calipers, ht the brakes are good out the box and come with updated pads that don’t fade
I would've bought one if they made it in automatic.
Picked up a new one last week. Had to bring the purchase forward. There are still a few available new in the UK.
Very short sighted of Hyundai, I think they should have kept making these as long as possible to really establish the brand.
Same here man, I am picking up mine next week Friday, Intense Blue Pearl with black roof. Also had to act fast. One of the few last pieces in my country ever. :(
@@siegfriedo same colour as mine too. Did you get the Bose?
@@steveh8yep
@hyundaiSA Please bring some remaining stock of the I20N to South Africa, I promise I'll be the first one to buy :(
Have you got a review of the i30n dct?
Unfortunately not. Haven’t been offered one to review! 🥲
nice 💯💪🏻
Thanks 🔥
My partner has a black i20N as her daily. We would like to have replaced it in a year or so with the “promised” face lifted version. With the demise of the Fiesta ST, there isn’t an obvious 200PS manual alternative, at that price point. I guess the emissions penalties for selling in Europe don’t add up. What is a bit odd is that this is a genuine 45 mpg car with normal driving….. emissions?
they cannot sell cheap N cars when they plan to sell expensive N EV vehicles; it like porsche would sell gr86s...it cannot happen as brands need to have a unified brand image and brand direction.
maybe for europe but here in the states they're building a great following with the elantra n. unfortunately we lost the kona and veloster n in the process though @@eugenux
@@ShaiyanHossainrest assured, Hyundai will get rid of all their ICE cars, first on the list being the ICE N-models, as they need halo cars and hero cars for their regular electric models; from what I've read, other two N EV models are in the pipeline; at least or even more expensive then the N-Ioniq5, unfortunately.
Perfect rewiew! My is rolling out from the factory at may, one of the last 10 I20n in europian market. It will be my first car, I wanted to start with an older and much more moderate...Than I heard that they are not producing it anymore, so they left me no choice!😅
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. Congratulations on your I20N. Enjoy 🙌
Same for me, I also ordered one of the last European i20N's. Did the dealer tell you it's coming in may, mine doesn't know exactly when yet?
@@user-zl2jb2jz7k First of all I would like to congratulate for your good choice 😉The dealer told that maybe I have to wait till march or april, but in the contract written until 31 of may...we checked a month ago, in the factory system it did not have chassis/body number yet, only construction number.
@@roberterdelyi7766 Yours is probably made in Turkey as well? I asked my dealer if it will be delivered by August and she said for sure by then, but May sounds much better, hopefully you're right. 😃
@@user-zl2jb2jz7k yes, made in turkey. My dealer sad it must be done at end of may, how is in the contract. We will see...He is checking it frequently, I'll let you know if I have any information.😉
The statistic on the fiesta weight is wrong, the car is 1100kg for the three door variant 1200kg for the 5 door variant.
im getting my i30n in june it was the last one for sale by hyundai in my country now u can only buy them new from non hyundai dealers
Congratulations
Picking mine up this Sunday! Might be dumb question but want to ask, is there a way to turn on the middle tail light or is it a brake light? I like the connected lights look. Cant really find anything about this and dont know if i can wait till pick up to find the answers.
Congratulations! Don’t think so unless you code it?
@@DrivenPlus so its just for display then? Ive seen some images online but they’re aftermarket.
I think it’s the fog light
@@DrivenPlus fog lights wouldnt be at the back lol
Why wouldn’t they…?
rn22 needs to come out
Luckily for us here in Australia both the i20N & i30N will be continuing with facelift models
Been mega happy with my March 22 build.
You lucky people!
Sorry @purplehazeffc but I doubt you'll be seeing a facelifted ICE i20N. The facelifted standard i20 has been out over a year now. If Hyundai were going to do it, it would have been done. ICE i20n &i30n are discontinued in Europe and the only new models left are potentially already within the Dealer network. Hyundai won't be maintaining supplies for other global markets. It's not a big enough seller for that. They will move to EV replacements.. 😢
Max. What are Hyundai thinking? The only decent cars they produce are the i30N and 120N.... not least this. Okay not the best looking car by any means [take the Fiesta ST, Polo GTi and indeed for me Up! GTi every day over the i20N...personal view! ] yet as you say old school hot hatch. Even affordable by today's standards. And a car you could use every day. Hyundai and Kia have lost the plot! All electric and Tesla chasing...and that is a disaster! Thanks Max, great review.
Completely agree Keith, it’s disappointing
Go woke, go broke.
Ending i20N and i30N is one of the hallmarks of the insane Green Khmer policy that has spread throughout Europe like a cancer.
Any auto company that waits to 2035 to change direction will probably go out of business! There is a reason for this transition front gas car to electric vehicles and we should all keep that in mind. For me I think about the generations after me, I am 50 years old and at best I may see another 30 years, maybe a little bit more and then I will be going for my forever sleep!
Ive seen 5.6 0-60 on this stock
They're not in Australia. Facelift due end of year
Great news for you guys
Is that because of how relaxed our emissions are here??
@@aussiefurbymogwaifan6621 probably.
@@aussiefurbymogwaifan6621 probably.. they're also sold more I reckon
@mharro88 but how can people see that the design of these is more of cute instead of how their meant to look "aggressive". There is also cosmetic mods you can get where it looks like the car has got cat whiskers. Maybe the cuteness factor turned people off
This sucks, was really looking to buy one around summer :(
Ahhh… Hyundai apparently have some left in stock
@@DrivenPlus I didnt ask, but in my country they have already taken it out of homepage and price lists :(
I hope it isn’t true.
A black colored version of this car would be so awesome.
Unfortunately it is true!
@@DrivenPlus First they got rid of KIA Stinger and now this… 🤔
welp, i20N didn't come to my region and now it never will
Cars like this can not continue to exist with fleet wide emissions regulations. Clio RS, Megane RS, 208 GTi, etc. For me I’m not that fussed because the “regular” versions are fun enough at public road speeds motoring. I’ll be more sad if the regular models were to go away as well.
Much better option than the i30 n
No new model I’m afraid only battery replacement at £60000 plus!
Shame!
End of the day if we do nothing to stem the tide of cross overs and SUVs that people are buying, all car makers will just cut anything interesting they make.
This i20n is made in Turkey and it costs 40,000 pounds there 😂
I thought all N's were made in Korea. If the VIN starts with a K it's a Korean made one.
I don't know about Korea, but i20 and i20n models are most definitely also made in Turkey.
@@stylusdvd Yeah for what I found out, the i20N's are made there. The Kona N and Elantra N (i30N sedan) are made in Korea.
Could get an fn2 instead
Could do!
Im not against evs but we will never have an 1200kg ev with similar power and price
I agree with you
Ev3
First (also the last)
😂
...Hyundai will just replace it, a different model thats more powerful and faster, and we'll all be buying that one when it arrives....its not rocket science, how car manufacturers...work these days
They will… but most likely an electric replacement
Dude, they are shifting completely to electric. Screw that.
I enjoyed your review and enthusiasm.
Mine is almost 1 year old with 11,000km and it's a practical, economical, enthusiasts car. It's a tragedy these cars have been cancelled by the crazy Marxist nut jobs we allowed to take over our lives.
It's in 'N' mode all the time, the tyres are hanging in there but not long to go and the long term economy is 6.2L/100km by the readout[6.5L/100km].
The engine they put in the i20N is new and also unique by having CVVD, constantly variable valve dwell, which has never been achieved before.

Thanks for sharing and glad you enjoyed the review 😎
Awww… poor, poor fourth r… errr EU. Somebody else in a different country decides what you can and can’t have.🤣
That's a good looking hatch with some decent power numbers. Not a fan of the baby blue. How's the handling ? Suspension?
Handling was impressive. Good feedback, having the LSD was a great choice by Hyundai
It looks cute instead of "aggressive"
sad days.
Decir que sobra el aleron es tan ridículo, que realmente el que sobra eres tú en el video 😂
RIP kia stinger
