That's a rad build. Love little Groms and love 450 engines. The two together makes an end product that is very interesting and I'm sure it's a ton of fun!

All I can can say is wow
Hondas market on these little bikes would blow up if they considered a larger cc engine considering what guys are using these bikes for. I've had 2 ninjas, a shadow, and a sportster. The Grom is my only bike now cuz I like riding it so much.
Yeah, Honda should beef everything up with offerings in 300cc and 500cc…. The market is obviously there.

02:08 Why have a dual caliper brake rotor on the back? A stock grom caliper would lock up the rear. You need that stopping power in the front.

The dual caliper in the back wouldn’t make it stop any better😂 adding a second disk up front would have
No its not a handbrake set up, its a dual caliper setup that leads to one master cylinder. So you hit the rear brake and both calipers engage.

@@snaxgalore5764 No are you? Do you not know how much all that stuff costs??? Not to mention if you pay someone for the labor. $2,000 just for the custom suspension alone, I would say about 17-20K if you did most of the labor himself.
Yeah, that is the nicest $50,000 Grom out there….. at least with this build the make had his eyes to looks as well as an engine swap, unlike so many Grom engine swaps where they don’t even grind down the welds…..

The engine is 1500 by itself
The engine used on ebay is 2500 atleast and thats a used...then the throttle body and all sensors to go with it...then the custom made frame and the suspension and chain sprockets and speedo and the powder coat and wheels and stretch kit and material for frame and most expensive is labor...your looking at 15k total easy...I put 450 motors in tnt135's and charge 8500 and thats a deal and have people lined up to do it...this is not a cheap build by no means...great job looks great...

I think it`s wierd to swap to the ugly headlight, the first gen headlamp looks way better than that transformers looking light. Looks are subjective tho.

They don't need to know.
@@ageofconner I agree with you do a degree. I've ridden scooters with BBKs that the insurance company didn't know about. But if you are in a bad accident and it's found out that you have modified your bike it could nullify your insurance and you could be on the hook for hundred of thousands of dollars.
