All the spam fake watch comments are killing me
Ryan, I hope you still have the $20 “ Rolex “ As a reminder to how far you have come.
Plot Twist he still wearing fake Rolex 😂
Pretty sure it’s just a story , a good one but a story.
The real takeaway from this is that everything is marketing. Just as you marketed yourself with the fake Rolex and the big office to project success - if you look deeper into this, the same could be said for Rolex. The brand is synonymous with wealth and luxury. The truth is, the superclones from China are at a point where the internals are interchangeable with the original. The difference between them is price and limits. The genuine ones are purposefully kept low in number, whereas the superclones can be mass produced. It’s basic supply and demand - you think you’re paying into exclusivity, and you are - but that exclusivity is itself a manufactured construct - they don’t have to be as limited as they are.
It’s all marketing. Everything.
I've read that even seasoned watchmakers can have difficulty telling the difference even when they open up a clone
I couldn't agree more. China's production technology is constantly upgrading, and the difference between high-end replicas and genuine products is so small that even professional masters cannot tell the difference. I needed a finishing touch so I bought a Rolex Submariner in China for $400. I knew it was fake and the movement used was Japan’s Citizen 8215 movement, but I still spent the money because it gave me confidence. I am now also an agent for selling their products in our country. It gives me confidence and makes my life better. I have money now and can buy a genuine watch, but I don’t have it, I still have it (it has been working diligently for 5 years).
Rolex makes 1 million + watches per year … it’s a mass market product.
aren't like 80%+ of all watches on the market the fakes and clones?
That's still not enough to meet demand though. That's the issue. It's not fake scarcity. They are trying very hard to increase production. In fact, they are building two new factories as we speak. So let's say that takes them to 3 million watches a year. That will help, but probably still not enough. The real question is how many potential buyers there are each year.@@Sovnarkom
Mega-clone sellers like ziarex must be in jail because they sell watches with identical serial numbers as original watches, which is illegal.
You should go to jail with your garbage comments
Nice advertisement
@@piaroger8582Outdated way to be honest!
Thank you , time to buy a watch
Advertising like this doesn't work anymore. I basically read: "ziarex clones are so bad, nobody buys them, so I have to use some bots on CZcams to try and hook some morons."
Then after being an agent for 5+ years you finally realize ALL the agents had fake Rolex....
LOL good one !
😂
So... fake it til you make it. I don't disagree with the concept. The hard part is being able to deliver when the opportunity finally comes. Lots of people fake it and never make it.
Just like you?
So honest and upfront. Glad you opened up on this topic, I had the same problem and I am in real estate too. Thanks for this
This started out as a video about a watch and ended up becoming so much more useful than I ever could have thought it could be when I clicked on it.
I feel this! My bought my first "RoLeX" when I was 9 at a Spanish Market for 30 Euros. Last year I purchased my first real one, and now I have a small collection
Great video Ryan
Wearing a nice watch helps. It doesn´t need to be a Rolex.
Moral of the story : fake it until you make it
Thanks for sharing your motivational dialogue!
Keep selling and teaching US to be financially successful too.
Exactly the reason I love listening to Ryan talk
As a Real Estate Broker, A Watch Guy and Fitness Instructor - I can relate to everything you said. Nice.
u r definirely american with those jobs
broker and fitness instructor? translation = doesnt do any meaningful real estate business and pesters fitness clients about becoming their agent. imagine what clients are thinking when the sales pitch gets introduced, lol.
Yup, this is the kind of video I like. This, vlogs (as in, following Ryan all day long), and advice videos like those in the original/main channel from three years ago
Owned a watch that looked like a Rolex Submariner, now I own the real thing. I feel like the fake was a stepping stone to getting the real watch.
Where do you get them fake watches lol?😂
not a replica the brand is called Invicta and it looks very similar, I wore it for years till I could finally get a real Sub. Recently got a Datejust 41 as well@@fastfowardbutton1965

I love how honest you are!
I was a bit skeptical about buying a replica watch, but after seeing all the obvious shilling for swissarex in the comments section I wouldn't buy one from them.
Agree
THIS A SCAM BTW
😂
I love your content! As a luxury realtor in Peru I get a lot of inspiration from you ! And also your book is a must in my recommended list to colleagues
This is an insanely important video. Always been a fan of Ryan but this is one of the best messages he's put out for business
there's no importance to it. one day everyone realizes that, some later than others
@@james2578 what's not important about it?

This man is the epitome of hard work.
No. He isn't. He's the epitome of how to live large without having any soul or he wouldn't be buying COUNTERFEIT and promoting it.

I don't want Fake Rolex, I want a Real Friend ~ Ryan Serhant.
Не имей сто рублей, а имей сто друзей)
I watched you grow being an agent. Well done. I’m young retired professional & did the same wore ( nice fake) as inspiration. Well dressed & excellent PR. You’re a great example & successful. Family man. Love your TV show as well. Great model too .
All the best more. 👍❤️
Never expected this much inspiration from a video thank you so much, I’ve been lost on my Marketing agency company I’m building and this makes so much sense ❤
I have 2 Rolexes and 1 GP. They arent flashy, more vintage/classy/stainless. In my experience, it makes a difference. people who know, notice. they may not say anything but it does whisper "I'm successful".
Ryan's people skills must be really good to be able to make friends from a 'upper circle' e.g. your banker, PE, lawyer group. Those people are usually very clique - also those people want to network up themselves too
Yes, 100%. Just working out at the same gym does not grant you instant access. His people skills are just as critical, if not more so
I recently bought some jewelry. I bought a bracelet, earrings and a necklace. They aren't real diamonds but they look very nice and I think it may impress high end clients. More than anything, I think they make me feel more successful when I wear them. In December 2021 I bought two very expensive leather Jackets from Overland. I wear the jackets almost every day and they make me feel like a big shot. 2022 wearing those jackets was my best year ever and I think the jackets may have been part of my success!
its all bs you tell yourself
This is so true - dress the part - or - it’s like a uniform transforming you into success! Love this video!
Ryan, can we please have a tour of your accessory/jewelry box? 🥺🥺🥺Your cute charm bracelets and all the other accessories and pretty much everything?
About 20 years ago, I was given a fake Rolex. I still have it in my desk drawer. A few times a year, just for fun, I wear it. Funny, nobody has ever said: "That is fake." Otherwise, I never wear a watch.
It's still running after 20 years? Might be real lol
@@jvdoles
LOL ... yes, it is still running.
I've bought replica watches in my early 20s, it motivated me, i worked hard, now i own multiple swiss watches, and i don't really wear them
Damn swissarex has some incredible ai swamp posting it’s obviously a scam site
It’s an amazing day when Ryan posts!!
Preach Ryan 👏🏾
Excellent video, I think to myself everyday what can I do to bring myself closer to my goal even if its a small step and this video definitely tells a lot about the motivation that seeing something like a fake rolex does for you, I think I am going to buy myself a fake watch and see what it does for me
Ryan the bots spamming Swissarex are out of control in your comments section. Just FYI.
It’s sad owning a Rolex where folks have to hide them and never wear them… odd thing to do when you buy a watch
Awesome to hear you talk with honesty.
People judge you by your initial appearance and that's a fact.
I'm from NYC and I know that it's hard to make it. Keep going and never give up.
GREAT VIDEO 💯 Luv your transparency and your ideology 👍
I love your view of life! Thank you for the message!
I love your Rolex story, Ryan. It's great to hear and see how far you've come, and where you are today. Congratulations and continued success in all your endeavors in 2024. We hope to purchase our PH with SERHANT someday. Cheers!
Excellent reminder that you have to go where you want to be and project that you belong there because you do with consistency, discipline, and resilience.
Beautifully said.
Looking sharp, feel sharp, be sharp
Right On Ryan!!!!!
There is a saying from the 20th century, 'if you have not bought a Rolex by the age of 50 you have failed at life' or fake it, till you make it!!
I too purchased a fake Rolex (Submariner) back in 2013 around Canal street for around $30 bucks and till this day still wearing it. Fantastic video Ryan, you never forgot where you came from and thanks for the inspiration. Hope some day to buy a luxury apartment from you, till then.
Um, no. That is not a saying from the 20th century.
I bought a fake Kermit in Naples Italy in 2003 and it still works like a champ.
So true
Nico would love that $20 watch 🤣🤣
Muh Nico...yeez
Can you make a video about your bands on the hands....what is the purpose for them.
Great video! If you can’t see it you can’t be it is a very true mantra!
It's the vibe and putting it out there! I had a fake Cartier when I lived in Manhattan way back when...totally get it! It works 💫💫💫
You are the HUSTLER! In the best supporting way. I prefer a behind the scenes and worker bee person.
You inspire me. Thank you 🙏🏼.
Make alot of sense! What advice would you give to a new yorker looking to learn the fame of real estate and maybe start of becoming an agent?
I never liked this guy until he started being open and authentic and now I like him.
Brilliantly said! wisdom esp for sales people!
Love this guys mind set
I really like the guy's mindset! Respect
I love your content. I admire you
Gotta go to the places where u can find the people u want to meet!
Here’s the most common sense advice: if you buy a fake expensive watch, you have to get yourself an expensive car, expensive clothes, something that could match the look. Nobody’s gonna believe you have a real Rolex when you don’t fit the look. So, by the time you do all that you will be spending more than buying a real 15,000 watch that could be a good investment or a way to save money
Firm believer in the saying “fake it til you make it”. I remember back in school our professor really stressed this on us to get us in the right mindset. You have to be a little delusional and set “unrealistic” goals to do well in anything
I like the Way you Speak, 🎉
How do you meet and become friends with people at the gym or other activities ??
Dude, fake rolexes are not made from plastic... experts have trouble finding the difference...
I have a few of them.... actually all the models and 5 daytonas... my favorite...
I have them because I like the models.... not to fake... dont need to at my age
but I just dont want to spend all that money on it
The good fakes don't cost 20 bucks
Exactly 💯 I'm the same way. I own a cartier francaise, and some seikos, and a platinum calvin klein watch. No reason to waste money on a real rolex when the clones look 10x better anyway and I get to keep pocking the money. It's a absolute waste to spend thousands on a watch that isn't even worth more than 1500 produced in a factory.
I attended your life BME book release and I commented in chat that you "faked it to make it", you seemed offended. You said you didn't fake it you just did everything a successful person does until you actually were. I don't think us normal people can understand how someone with your drive and vision even thinks. LOL Thanks Mr S.
Your statement is very harsh. Every product, person or company who doesn't only fulfill the basic needs of people needs an image.
To gain momentum and leverage.
The profit margins in luxury markets are 10x than in mass markets.
This guy is super chill
We Love Ryan.🥰
Great vid Ry :). Congrats on your success my man. 👏
Love Ryan
great video. Especially the multiple Gyms.
It depends where u sell. For example selling in Scandinavia where my customers are this would have opposite effect. Im from Eastern Europe There when first time went with my partner for big project we put 7 series BMW away in parking lot and arrived walking because some arrive at meeting with bikes
There are rumors that igrotum has the Rolex database of serial numbers and sells replicas with the same serial numbers as the originals
igrotum is the only replica factory that sells and manufactures their watches themselves also have original serial numbers. That's why they are the best
Excellent!
I was skeptical to buy a replica, well uhm fake watch, and I should have listened to my gut feeling that swissarex I got is a total piece of junk!
I think it depends on your field. I see many agents project wealth with their nice cars and bags.
I also bought one of those fake Rolex watches for $20 on Canal St. in NYC Chinatown a long time ago. I was always embarrassed when anyone noticed it or mentioned it, thinking it was real. I was kinda glad when it finally broke after 3 years and I just tossed it. I got my money's worth for $7 a year though. LOL😆
Biggest Takeaways for me: Push your self, project where you want to be (and it's not fake it till you make it)
Love the advice. By the way, I once bought a Mido watch for some bucks too for a job interview and I got the position, months later I bought a brand new executive watch by Cartier 😊
This video is really important
Awesome. I’m trying to do big things. One man wrecking ball 🎉
You were lucky to find it available.
That Daytona looks yellow gold ? Or is it the light. Normally Rolex rose gold is noticeably more pink than other brands
I built my rolex. Now i do custom builds at my watch shop. I do pretty well. Everybody wants a rolex. Using real dials and a real 3135 movement, i deliver to my clients
(audio still not great)
I appreciate what this video is about, but I feel like I'm late to the party. Everyone I talk with says, "Oh, I'm already working with a Real Estate Agent." If everyone I meet is saying the same thing, how do I get around that?
This guy is giving some great advice!
This video is a Masterclass.
Bold moves .... they happen everyday. 🎉
🎉who the fk is this guy. Most impressive person I have even seen on CZcams. Mad respect.
Ziarex must be stopped at all costs. People are losing money since their mega clone watches started to be sold as originals on the aftermarket.
I like you bro! what a good attitude! i smiled all the video and im heading out to the gym, but not to LA fitness anymore but to Equinox at beverly hills!! THANK YOU!
Love this.
Two things, it kind of feels like deception to me. Imagine if you had been going along well and then you're found out. Imposter syndrome could creep in and destroy you before you make it.
Seems like a risky game.
But your advice on gyms is excellent. I did the same thing, I joined a bunch of clubs and went to "church" and met people who helped move me out of a low paying career. I also met lots of women.
I have always wanted to Own a Cartier Wrist watch, just without the eye-watering price-tag that it comes with. So, in that token, I went out and bought a Replica Cartier Ballon Bleu for a fraction of the original price and i love it! in Theory, yes, I do have the money to buy the original, but I don't know that I would have the confidence to walk out in public with the genuine article. Rather a thief snatches a fake off my wrist!
In the end, a new era of watches has come. Some illegal company from EU started making mega clones called ziarex. Basically, what they are doing is buying original parts from workers in Rolex who flag that part as damaged and sell them. But thats not the
I call what you did, breaking the ring!
