A boston player is by definition a player who will never consider worry about the repercussions for making a hockey play.

The Argos have won their last 8 Grey Cup appearances. That's freaking ridiculous. And no one in Toronto cares. They literally win 3 of every 10 Grey Cups. Ridiculous.
As a Canucks fan everything past the 1st round is gravy. Team has a good core, is young, excellent prospects, and a coaching + gm staff that honestly instills confidence. Excited to be in the mix again.

Auston absolutely deserves the most blame and not Marner. Hitting the post is a missed shot. Being able to hit it whenever the team needs you to score isnt a virtue. Regular season you can compare him to Ovie but there isnt another top player in the same tier that fails to produce this regularly in the playoffs.

Why does everyone keep saying the leafs kill the bruins on paper?
Sure their forwards kill the bruins but the Bs defence and goalies are miles ahead, and thatâs 50% of the players on the ice.
In 51 games AM has 22 G 22 A for 44 pts. Mackinnon has 77 games 44 g and 56 A for 100 points. Kucherov has 143 games 53 G 108 A and 161 points. Mcdavid 49 games 29 goals and 46 assists 75 points. Leon 49 games 31 goals 46 assists and 77 points. Tell me how AM is better than any one of them.

The amount of hours I spend doing homework and listening to SDP, I bet I have time for 10 shows a week.
34:05 Steve is bang-on. All that money spent on these guys, but in the playoffs, they don't elevate their games. They may be exciting in the regular season, but it's the playoffs that matter. That's why at least one of the Core guys should have been dealt before their NMC kicked in on July 1.

2. In defence of Toronto, Jeremy Swayman had the game of his LIFE: +6.2 GSAX . Yes, Toronto had to bury their chances, but you have to expect that it'll start going in if they keep playing like that.
3. Cam Ward wasn't always a great goalie in his later years with the team, but the bad Hurricanes teams were the reason Ward couldn't get to the playoffs more, not the other way around. 2011 for example, he was exceptional (74GP 37W 923SV% 25.9GSAX) but the team narrowly missed. 2009 he had a stellar run as well. He wasn't the one holding the team back, at least not for over half a decade after their cup.

As a Hurricane's fan, I saw Domi do this exact same thing when he was with us, and unfortunately for y'all, he's not gonna fix it.
Ask CBJ fans about Max Domi. Josh Anderson stinks now and we still lost that trade.
Domi is the most frustrating player for me. He's got so much skill and talent and enough dickishness to be on the same level as Marchand, but he's got no consistency. He will disappear for weeks or months at a time. On top of that, if you get him worked up he'll do stupid things to take himself out of the game. He just needs to find equilibrium somehow.

The Florida-Tampa game was a prime example of what could be for the Leafs if their stars would step up. It's only the first period and Florida's best goal scorer is already on the board. It's a 1 goal game so Reinhart's goal was absolutely essential in their win. When your team's offense runs through one guy it's pretty easy to shut it down.
There needs to be more car talk from Adam during the summer
Jack Kopacka was the leading goal scorer in the Swedish second league this season. Where he's currently playing with Jordie Benn in BrynÀs IF!

I love love love domiiii always will!! I played all my home games an hour before Marlies when tie was behind the bench and his son was playing. A true blessing and ive wanted him as a leaf ever since. I'm so glad he is here. He is what the leafs use to be. Now we are sofe as Keefes belly. What a joke of a coach.

The Leafs got crushed in the faceoff circle. Hitting was even, but Leafs took way more dumb penalties. I would also like to add that Jesse is talking about how the game could have been 1-1 when Matthews went off the post....did he watch the game? Boston hit more pipes than Hunter Biden and Rob Ford on a Vegas vacation bender!

If a player wants a contract extension in NHL24 that being that they actually say yes in the little column for yes or no if they want a contract extension, if thats the case you can safely offer them 85% of whatever they ask for and as long as you keep the same years as they have in the initial ask they will say yes.
So for example on the max domi extension you could have offered him 4.675 and he would have said yes 100%. That may still be too much but just something to keep in mind for the future.

I totally get what Steve means by complimenting Boston scouting department, but I'll never forget revisiting the 2015 draft and seeing those three straight whiffs in the first round. Especially with who came after them. Big uff.

Adam's take on the Library of Alexandria would make historians minds explode. Even I, as a non-historian, was astounded at how much detail was missing, such as the initial (accidental?) burning of the Royal Lbirary Alexandria by Caesar hundreds of years prior to the fire of the secondary library attributed to Christians. Or that much of what is recounted about the burning of the library is considered legend.
Plus there is his reference to the various Bishops and Patriarchs as other Popes who didn't survive. Tell that to the current Patriarchs of Alexandria, Constantinople, etc. And the thorn story being about a Pope when that legend is about St. Benedict who lived about 100 years after the Christian riots. Or that Byzantines are just Romans--although Byzantium was the Eastern Roman Empire, there are historical and cultural differences between the East and the West.

Best case scenario for the leafs. They get swept by Boston. Fire Keefe. Fire Shanahan. Trade marner before July 1 and get max value return.
Archimedes is the guy you're talking about using burning mirrors, but they were probably not flat mirrors. I've seen people light pencils on fire with curved mirrors from small telescopes using the Sun. Mythbusters used flat mirrors, which are going to disperse a lot more light.

It was funny to hear them remember that the Leafs haven't scored more than 2 goals in their last 8 playoff games. That was a huge part of their round 2 loss to Florida. Idk why there's so much talk about toughness when they can't score!
the issue with the officiating wasn't that the leafs got the calls they did, it is that they were letting the Bruins get away with similar things all night. The penalties were 5 - 2 but Boston played no cleaner. There were multiple high sticks that weren't called etc.

boston's defense was good, our passing was chaos. And i don't know if you guys saw Paul Bissonette talk on pat mcafee but he clearly fired up Pat Maroon as he kicked our ass.
I loved the heart Domi showed right off the opening draw going after Marchand right away. He didn't play the best throughout the game, but who did. Domi wants to be in Toronto, more than I can say for a lot of guys who came through. Sign him to an extension.
Domi is no Marchand. He doesnât have his priorities straightened out. Marchy doesnât start with his antics till there is a score cushion. He has one of the best +/- ratings in NHL history.
