- Ukraine’s mighty 47th Brigade has revealed how their skilled Bradley crews obliterated Russian armour in the town of Berdychi, stopping any attempt by Putin’s men to advance beyond the city of Avdiivka dead in its tracks. Drone footage and first-person video shows how the skilled Bradley drivers destroyed or disabled Russian fighting vehicles, opened fire on troops and battered Russian tanks trying to advance to the west of Avdiivka, which was recently captured by Moscow’s forces after five months of fighting. Putin’s generals hoped to use the city as a springboard to attack the rest of Donetsk oblast, but have instead fallen at the first hurdle. The 47th has not had everything its own way, however, as Russia drone footage showed an Abrams tank - one of only 31 supplied by the US - being hit and destroyed by a drone during the battle. However, for every loss suffered by the Ukrainians they have managed to inflict multiple on their enemies, dragging them into a brutal battle of attrition.

The weak point in modern tanks is the top. The Russian drone hit the top at the back where the Abrams tank blow-out panel for the ammo is located. The internal blast door held long enough for some of the crew to escape. The tank loader position located next to the blast door might not have made it; a Russian tank would have blown off its turret killing the whole crew.
theres no such thing as blowing the turret off an abrams, only russian tanks fly high due to the explosives literally under it so its like a champagne effect probably it was hit by artillery

Without question, the magazine doors hold if they're closed.
Looks like bradleys with high rate of fire are overall more usefull than slow abrams with huge Canon. Speed and mobility is more important in modern war.
And FPV drones are more useful than either of them.

Thats ammunition being cooked off, Basically the rounds on the inside of the tank being hit and detonating and the tank has a design where if that happens it spews everything out of a blowout panel so that the crew can still operate and be completely safe

The NATO tanks like Abrams, Leopard, Challenger have their ammo stored in a cupboard ( bustle ) on the rear of their turrets, this cupboard is sealed from rest of tank, so while it may look spectacular for an Abrams to have flames on the rear of the turret the chances are the crew is safe and the tank will be damaged, but able to drive away....

Notice that after the M1-A1 Abrams was hit, the panels worked releasing the explosions of the ammo up in the air….and the crew men are seen running off to fight another day. It’s not a great tank because it’s indestructible: all tanks can be killed if you hit them in the rear or top. It’s that it’s hard to kill and - even when killed- the crew survives
