Bradley destroys BMP with ease as Ukraine's 47th Brigade battle Russia near Avdiivka

- A US-made Bradley fighting vehicle wrecked a Russian BMP in fighting west of Avdiivka. Drone footage shows the BMP carrying Russian troops to a tree-line they are hoping to seize. The troops are riding on the roof because the BMP has notoriously thin armour. They jump off and run into the trees, after which the BMP tries to escape from the battlefield. But it is caught by a Bradley of Ukraine’s 47th Brigade which opens fire with its 25mm cannon. Though small, the cannon packs a punch and is more than enough to get through the BMP’s shell. After several direct hits one round strikes the BMP’s engine, disabling it and starting a fire. The 47th Brigade said the Russians launched an attack involving two tanks and five BMPs. More footage shows another of the armoured vehicles after it was disabled during the attack. The drone unit of the 47th Brigade was then tasked with taking it permanently out of action. Video shows the moment a drone flew into the back of the vehicle, where the engine is. That caused it to burst into flames and then slowly burn to ashes. Russia has lost a huge amount of equipment in similar attacks since the start of the year. Hundreds of tanks and armoured vehicles were lost just to take the city of Avdiivka, and now even more are being used up storming towns to the west. Ukraine is being forced to cede ground because it doesn’t currently have enough ammunition or manpower to hold the Russian advances back. But Russia’s supplies are not limitless and it is expected that shortages will begin to bite in mid-2025 after which it will become very difficult to advance any further. #russia #ukraine #war

First vehicle fired on was an MTLB, not a BMP. Second vehicle was a BMP but the engine on a BMP is not in the rear (passenger compartment is in the rear). The engine is in the right front. Really bothers me that these media clowns cannot get any of the details correct about the equipment. GIYF!!!

The first vehicle was an MTLB not a BMP and it succeeded in its mission to offload the infantry - it likely only had a machine gun as its main armament so pretty much defenceless against the bradley. Also the 2nd vehicle was a BMP 1 ( you can tell this by the main gun which is not an autocannon) which is a very old model and it looks like it was already abandoned. Finally Ukraine is being pushed back further away from Avdiivka particularly in the last week where Russian has made large gains.
In the full video even the driver escapes.

BMP1 has fuel tanks placed INSIDE of the double door in its back. You can see slat armor welded here and it is why dron hit exactly this spot.
its just the easiest spot for the warhead to penetrate into the crew compartment. per soviet manuals those fuel tanks are suppoesed to be empty during combat. they are ferry tanks.
not only this. the troops inside backroom are sitting on fuel tanks too....

@@pavelmedek3968 yeah, very. a diesel fuel fire produces thick black smoke (this is why diesel trucks that run fuel rich produce black smoke.) as you can see the smoke at the start is bright white, until the fire reached the internal fuel tanks that are below the crew compartment. burning fuel would also drip onto the ground, the design theory being that if the door tanks do happen to be full and they get hit, the fuel and thus the fire should pour onto the ground before going into the crew compartment as diesel fuel burns much slower than something like gasoline.

BMP engine is actually in the front and on the right. They hit the back because they usually carry ammo in the back and sometimes fuel.

You should be more accurate on the description of your videos. The first vehicle is not a BMP, but snother type of armoured vehicle. The second one looks like a BMP-1, which, as an Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV),has its engine located on the front in order to allow the infantry to dismount.
BMPs have their engines in the front and at the right.
The rear compartment is for the troops it carries,but some fuel cells are also there.
That's why when hit on the rear BMPs tend to explode harder.
That's unlikely to buff out with today's, new fangled, liquid waxes :/

Impressive. Other than identifying the Bradley as being American made you didn’t get a single bit of those first two engagements correct. The first engagement’s “BMP” was an MT-LB. While the second’s “other armored vehicle”, which actually was a BMP-1, was struck in the rear. That is the infantry compartment. The engine is in the front of the hull.
Make an effort. That information would have been obvious with under 5 minutes of research.

REALLY depends on what type of bmp we're talking here. Could be as early as the 60s or, with newer modernizations, as new as the 21st century. Also the first vehicle was an MTLB, not BMP

The advantage of the Bradley's gun is it can be trained on the target quickly and deliver multiple armor piecing projectiles in rapid succession . Against a tank it can lay on those hits before the tank can even load it's gun or rotate it's turret. Then the Bradley moves and keeps firing . The tank is screwed .

On the drone strike on the BMP. The IFV was a BMP 1. It's engine is in the front, and not the rear. But what is in the rear, specifically the rear doors that the infantry gets out from are the fuel tanks ! That's right, the rear doors contain diesel fuel! When the drone hit it there, it went BOOM !
Israeli Merkeva tanks use the diesel fuel as another layer of armour. It’s not the stupid “gotcha” you think it is.
Problem being that the Russian Military is moving westwards,as is the Ukrainian army.

The Russian are among the fields south of Solodove and west from Berdichy.
The soldier on the MTLB notice the Ukrainian drone and they disembark.
The Bradley starts firing at the APC that now only have the driver inside who turns around and tries to drive away.
Later the day the bradley was destroyed 2 treelines away.
And the 2nd BMP was abandoned and the FPV drone only ignited a fire that made theonboard ammunition to cook off.
The Russian do not suffer from equipment shortages.
And last time I checked BMPs are still in production

For the Russian BMP to have a very low profile, they had to put the fuel tanks in the rear troop doors because there wasn’t much room anywhere else.
