From my perspective Global Championship = Evolution Book. When book become useless so is the GC...
They are making me spend less money. They double the price of heroes way and made it impossible to finish without spending over 300 USD so I stopped buying. When a new hero or titan came out I would spend close to 100 USD to max out. I passed on Tenbris and I will pass on soeli. One thing I learned about this game is if you wait 6 months they will become free.
Let's not forget how they screwed ppl increasing the price on HW & the objectives are ridiculous!!!
jep I agree, used to spend here and there for new stuff that fits my teams. but now I don't spend anything at all except for valkyrie

The evolution book is about the only reason to do Global Championship. I've been at the game for the last half a year and there are still a lot of heros that aren't absolute star so those that I want to use need those books including new heros if applicable. That being said, today is my last day in the game. They have made it very apparent that this is a pay to win game, but that they don't value the money in the exchange for emeralds and that playing other games for them will only last for so long before you get bad offers that take a lot of time for minimal reward. The writing is on the wall. Pay up or settle for the most slow grind to get anywhere imaginable.
That being said, I wanted to thank you for all your help in getting to know the game and its many facets. It was a lot of fun while it lasted and you helped make it that way. I wish you well in your endeavors and hope that the game realizes that there is more than whales out there.
Or just accept.... if you want to play free, it takes a while. Why does everyone think Nexters should "give" them a free game?
They simply F’d up period! Worked my ass off for 2 Global Championship Seasons to be able to afford that book as well on a 4 months old server and guild. We are a Duke League Guild as well. But I saved up all my winning coins to buy that book to use on new heroes.
No point in buying the Evolution Books now if they can't be used. Older players that been loyal are the ones that are really getting screwed.
If evo books will no longer be usable on new heroes they should have announced that upfront and made Soleil the “last call” hero. I could stomach knowing up front it was going away and there will be one last chance to use them. Now I’m sitting on 7 books that I may never use and can’t be sold for anything

game is behind a paywall, talismans are unobtainable for free.
When they said you can't use on Lara, I knew it wouldn't work on any new heroes.
They said can’t be used on any new collaboration heroes.
To my knowledge they never said evolution books cannot be used on any new hero ever again.
I used to have three HW accounts. One on each platform. I was an extremely dedicated F2P player, Unable to get in a gold tier guild in Facebook and Web, but doing well in a gold tier guild on mobile. I took HW up on the offer to play Raid Shadow Legends on Web for a month to get a massive amount of emeralds. Consequently I now play RSL on the laptop and dropped HW.
I am about to drop HW on mobile and RSL. The sunk cost fallacy is now obvious. With this latest change, the 4758 Guild Championship coins are useless. Lara Croft is my only non-six star champion. I didn't get Cleaver for three years, I am not a lucky person. Dedication and resource management kept me competitive. They took away my reason for staying.
My problem is: I'm always facing groups that out match me by leaps and bounds, making it impossible for me to win! Plus: I have to scroll for hrs trying to find a suitable opponent! Very disappointing!
I've managed to buy 19 Evo books in about 2 years on this account. It's the only thing I spend GC trophies on.
The exceptions for Jet and Lara make sense. This just seems like an error in judgment.
Maybe with soleil that’s only until the next hero comes out
@@robertfaulkner1824 You may be right. There may be some kind of delay (next hero is logical). If that's the case, that's the kind of detail community managers should be sharing in advance instead of causing all the negative feedback.
...mostly, I fight in Global Championships out of habit and because I help my guild 😊 But, I have 4 Evolution Books in my inventory in case there are another double hero release... I typically get my new hero to 4 Stars during their release event, then Evo Book the rest of the way up. I would truly dislike if I could not upgrade Soleil at the end of the event. 😢
This game has to figure out what it wants to be. It's changed a lot over the past several months to the point many players are walking away.
They may want to reassess that change. Also, talismans and the resources to upgrade them

It is a major mistake imo, i can understand the deal with LC brand owners and the rights to use her images, by the time i learn that She cannot be maxed without spending a whole week pay check and evolution booster isn't usable to do it, i just sit and wait until now to see next bad move. Now, extending the deceiving concept to new heroes is just the last nail in the coffin. Nexter bad decisions over even badest decisions are just the pivot point. I will inform my guild mates to my retirement, for good.
In my opinion, 5 skins per heroes is already a lot, adding a 6th skin is costly, talismans are hard to get, now even a second row of them? And they don't add up like the skins, you have to choose whitch one to use. Introduction of celestial arena (the flying boat with captains) is now just a waste of time, rewards are just too random to justify it, and there is notting you can do to upgrade when all 3 captains are maxed. Not speaking of the new visual, they literally replace the nice background with a wall. Previously, you can see the village down there, creating a link with the map and the story, now, you can't match the views between the zippeline and the campain with the main place. Where is the door lead to?
Everyone keeps saying that it's a big "mistake",.. But, it's not a mistake,, it's just corporate greed. The CEOs at HW know exactly what they are doing, there must be a new super yacht coming out that they have their greedy little eyes on. Such a shame,.. Hero Wars was a great little game.
Old Server, 5+ year player here... I've just sort of reduced myself to the daily f2p grind. I used to always buy Valks favor and the Hero's way. I'd occasionally buy in the 4x gems, and an occasional new skin. I've played for years, and I'm in a great guild so I've built up a couple evo books for new heros. Not being able to use them is just another strike against the game.
It's getting to a point where I just don't care anymore. The fun and challenge are rapidly decreasing. A new Hero, a new Titan, a new look map aren't doing ANYTHING to keep my interest in the game.
I think the loss of Hero's Way was one of the biggest screw ups in the game. The Hero's way shop is DEAD since you can't hardly get the coins. I guess if you're new you can use your EVO books on Tristan/Xe'Sha/Peppy.

I am a relatively new moderate spender. Stopped purchasing the hero's way after the update. Before it seemed very worth it, especially for new players. Now it's more than 6x more expensive and gives you "nothing". The current tweek made it slightly better (mainly to get soul stones for Tristan and X'sha), but not enough to buy the pass.
Ended up in the second ranked guild on my server who also participate in GC and the evo book has been the only item worthwhile from the shop (yet). At my stage not a big deal as I have not levelled neither Lara nor Soleil as I am still working on levelling a plentiful of other hero's that seem more important. Once that is done the evo books may become more important as a resource.
Super frustrated with this news collected for two months to buy an Evo book now to see it can't be used ...each and every event for the past few months is disaster bad for c2p players like me who spend on essential items like Valkyrie favor....heros way....skin for main heros......after the announcement of talisman and seeing it's success they have made decision to paywall everything which was previously free or could be gained by playing the game recent news on new skin event of the ones that are out is sounding like another disaster

I'm f2p player and booster books, especially Evolution is everything to me. With that I can take p2p heroes to Absolute star. And those are mostly all new heroes and heroes who aren't in any shop. They are really trying get rid of f2p players and mid-low spenders.
Can't believe they did that without telling everyone in advance, and what about a book to promote colour rank?
Does it make any sense that in Dominion there are no skins to even get with currency other than real money..
there are 14 Champion skins in the Guild Warshop & that's it, its either the 5k skin stones or real money..
Hero Wars is a cool game with a great community but unfortunately the Devs, Creative Directors whatever & Coders are a bunch of clowns,
there are so many bugs in both versions its just torture playing & I will bet 10 skin certificates that there is not 1 programmer working in Nexters that even devotes 5 mins of there free time to go back & fix there own mistakes, they do only what they are told to do & nothing more..

You can reasonably get about 150 shards from event, if you need stack up direct upgrade to 5* or 6* its pretty much imposible for f2p...

the evo book is for real the only thing i ever bought in that shop and now looks like it will become useless so what should I do with those coins exchange it for gold? I hope they have an alternative reason we don't know to make Soleil unavailable there and than after this hero release things will go back to normal.. I am not a big fan of talismans but if I have to replace the evo book I guess that is an ok alternative..still I dislike it

I love playing this game but i never spend money on my mobile games, it takes freaking forever to level up the heroes after level 80ish without doe. I only really play the game for a hour or so when my stuff reloads, i'm on level 96 i think but don't have a hero higher than 88 because it takes so long. also i'm leveling up like 20 heroes and i think that's too many.
Yes, that's too many heroes at a time. Anyway, your comment is irrelevant and useless because it's off-topic. Go read some beginner's guides, level up your heroes and then comment on what you are relevant to.

It's definitely a mistake what they've done but I mean it's not any different to what they've been doing for so many months. The talisman event is on 18th for 3 days and then it's a bunch of f2p titan events....sounds like a copy and paste each month now

I think the developers of this "game" are rather stupid. The greedy kind of stupid.
They seem to be convinced that the seasons, the new formats of events and the new path are really good, since many people tried them the first time, but they do not seem to be aware of all the flaws and missing parts they come with.
For example, they introduced the light and darkness titans, but the dungeon stayed the same, with only fire, water and earth battles. After a year, it's still impossible to get Oya's soul stones from the chest. The airships battles have basically no purpose if not to get a meager amount of cubes for the talismans, the latter having become basically impossible to get. And so on.
The evo books not being able to be used as intended is just another "bright idea" that some moron thought it would be a great addition to the game to encourage the players to spend buttload of real cash in their stupid events.
By the way, this Soleil pal is also just your average support character, a variation of what Helios already is, which frankly to me appears utterly redundant. They are also lacking creativity.
I don't get it.... Everyone seems to be entitled and hates that Nexters is a business and wants to make money. I don't see the "restricted" stars and skins thing as a major issue. For most players this isn't an impediment as they don't have level 120+ teams and/or characters. For the other 80% of players, without maxed out teams, this is sorta an irrelevant issue. For the other 20%.... Come to terms. Just because you've played for 2+ years, have a set team that is becoming obsolete with a new "era" of hero's, maybe you need to adapt. - in fact, it seems the point of the new era is to create characters that disrupt the end game of entrenched players and stop the reality that there are only 20+ characters that are relevant once you get past level 120.... as for the $ issue.... if you don't like it, stop playing. Or adapt like the rest of us and accept that there are things we won't get because of our financial choices.

Evo books still work on the heroes they always used to work on, why everyone here acting like they don’t?
Evolution was never the hard thing anyhow, nearly all my heroes are max star but only very few of them have max skins and artifacts and none max glyph.
I got so many heroes max star with lvl1 grey items 😂
If your not a 🐳 player then should just focus on the f2p heroes some solid teams can be made with them.
Skin stones and runes can be earned and used everyday. Soul stones for heroes can only be earned under specific circumstances
@@HeroWarsCentral yes true but getting skin stones to max off only the free ones is like a drop in the ocean. It will take years to max even one hero comp this way let alone a few.
This is my point, when a new hero is released who cares about it, maxing its star level is irrelevant without also investing the skin stones and other stuff and if your not a 🐳 then your still working on the old heroes.
