That's annoying that the laser pulses when the unit is beyond the 4 deg. tilt
I would want to use this to outline a fall line (without the unit pulsing the light)
Why couldn't they just make the unit have an indicator light flash and perhaps a beep rather than flash the whole laser line light pulsing :-(
There are other units out there that keep the line on without pulsing but give an indication the unit is not level when pendulum lock mode is on.
After all, if you have engaged pendulum lock then you know you are using the unit without auto leveling, so why restrict your usage of the unit when that is engaged?
    EDIT:
I may be wrong about the above but I will leave it there and remove it when/if Makita confirm
From the manual itself, it states...
"Pendulum lock - for protecting the lasers internal components the pendulum lock
will secure moving parts I place to prevent damage. This also disengages the self
leveling feature for when the laser is required for slopes such as hand rails"

Hi there, If you use the pendulum lock you can tilt the laser past 4 degrees this will mean the laser will only blink every 10 sec to remind the user that it is not in self level mode. Hope this helps you

Hi, this works only with 12v batteries. Unfortunately the 18v won’t be appropriate for this machine. Hope it helps

@@makitauk oh wow I didn't know that if a laser has done adjustment that it means the laser can be calibrated. Thank you

    마끼다 쓰지만 정말 정떨어지는 영상이구먼
디자인과 창의성이 하나도 안느껴지는데 출시까지 타사에 비해 3년은 늦엇다
    이젠 정말 갈아탈때가 됐군...
