If you are reviewing an adjustment knob important information is where is the pivot point? The hilti pm30mgs are perfect at the cross. The dewalt 20v pivot point is not on the intersection of verticals so its annoying lining up a laser without knowing where the pivot point is.
How you figure this out is place a point on the ground turn on both verticals put cross on dot and spin adjustment nob if it stays on the cross take my money.

Good bit of kit, thanks for the review
Hilti PM30-MG is a bit better though, especially if you get it with a receiver

I agree hilti PM30-mg is awesome but for the price and the use I need it for this was my best option. I have the Hilti PR 30-HVSG and use that for set out for RL heights, cut outs, foundations and so on. Awesome tech!

The Milwaukee has the micro adjustment as well. I think the Makita is more accurate being + or - 2mm over 10m where the Milwaukee is 3mm.

Great review! Can these be calibrated? I never liked the dewalt lasers because they couldn't be calibrated

I really don't think they can be. I've asked many people and nobody has an answer and even makita doesn't know lol how the hell can't you know

How do Americans get their hands on some of the new makita stuff ????!!!!

I’m not too sure to be quite honest. Maybe worth while looking if you can import from overseas or talking to your local supplier and when they are sounding to have there first shipment!

Ive tried everything. Very few makita lasers are available. Even with the new XGT platform its very limited to us as well. I did find Sydney Tools but they wont ship to America. Really would like to get new makita tools.

Strange that you guys are left behind us on the tool front. I’ll ask my supplier if shipping to the states is possible here from New Zealand. Can’t see why it would be a issue.
