    Festool planer is much easier to change the blades compared to makita , so many parts you have to remove in makita

    If you are reviewing an adjustment knob important information is where is the pivot point? The hilti pm30mgs are perfect at the cross. The dewalt 20v pivot point is not on the intersection of verticals so its annoying lining up a laser without knowing where the pivot point is. How you figure this out is place a point on the ground turn on both verticals put cross on dot and spin adjustment nob if it stays on the cross take my money.

    Great video, The only thing I do differently, is not sit blades central, but to set the end of blades flush with the side of planer bed, opposite the motor to ensure accurate rebating.

    The Makita 40v inflator I have does not cut out at the set pressure, yours didn't either when you pumped your van up? Also the 18v seems to let air out to drop down to the set pressure as you showed in the video but the 40v doesn't do this?

    The Milwaukee has the micro adjustment as well. I think the Makita is more accurate being + or - 2mm over 10m where the Milwaukee is 3mm.

  • @niwachien
    @niwachien Před 2 lety

    There is ZERO difference between 18v and 20v or 36v and 40v. Both batteries are 18v for storage and 21v charged. Companies are playing with the numbers to confuse the ignorant. Battery packs that use the newer 21700 cells vs the older 18650 cells have more capacity and are slightly heavier but voltage remains the same. 18v x 2 or a single 40v are the exact same voltage fully charged. 42v

    • @zarrow50
      @zarrow50 Před 2 lety

      what about the watts as the 40 v power head can deliver 1000w as apposed to the 36v power head that delivers 620w?

    • @niwachien
      @niwachien Před 2 lety

      @@zarrow50 Either they switched to 21700 cells and can draw a few more amps or the inverter is just different

    • @kip8790
      @kip8790 Před rokem

    Are you sure about the depth of cut? Hs004g' depth of cut should be less than Hs003gs' because the base is thicker to accommodate the rail. I actually got the saw today and measured the depth which is about 62mm. On the paper the depth for 45 degree is only 42mm and 44.5mm with 190mm blades. I didn't know about this when I ordered it. It's quite a bummer but I also ordered some 190mm blades so I'll see how it'll go. 0.5mm should be fine Anyways I'm looking forward to your full review 👍

    That's a big battery. I wish i could use water while cutting indoors. That saves so much on dust. But the resulting water/sludge mess will be a bigger pain than having dust everywhere.
