Kendrick Lamar's "THat Part (Black Hippy Remix)" Verse | Check The Rhyme

- čas přidán 16. 08. 2016
- Minutes before the official release of his Blank Face album, ScHoolboy Q dropped the Black Hippy remix of his song “THat Part” On the Cardo, Cubeatz, Kanye West and Yung Exclusive-produced track, Kanye West’s verse is swapped out for features from Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock, and Ab-Soul.
And, of course, Kendrick’s verse has everyone talking. Kendrick employs multiple rhyme schemes and internal rhymes on each of the 24 bars. - Hudba

Whats better? 2011-2014 Kendrick (Good Kid, m.A.A.d city and Section.80) or 2015-Present Kendrick Lamar (To Pimp A Butterfly and Untitled Unmastered).
TenZEDin Present.
What's your favorite Kendrick lamar song?
Trill Gates
I'll name my favorites from each album since all his albums seem to have a very different style and tone. For Untitled Unmastered I like Untitled 02 the most for that last verse when he turns into Cornrow Kenny instead of Kendrick. For TPAB it has to be These Walls without a doubt. For Good kid, m.A.A.d. City I would go with The Recipe with Dr. Dre on the feature that was in the deluxe version of the album. For Section .80 I really like ADHD. For Overly Dedicated I like Ignorance is Bliss (the same track that got Dr. Dre's attention towards Kendrick in the first place). My favorite of all would be These Walls. What's yours?
Trill Gates kendrick lamar = kendrick lamar
It's not just the rhyme scheme that's impressive.. it's the fact that he told a whole story while topping it off with some clever wordplay... This guy is a lyrical genius
The entendres as well
That’s how it used to be before the mumble rap every rapper from the 90s and early 2000s had to have bars or something unique about them nowadays if U have a computer and a mic with no bars no nothing u can be considered a goat like wtf happened to hip hop there’s still some cold lyricist around but they don’t get the recognition they deserve
@@rapartist9309 you corny ass hip hop fans who always be bitchin... Support who you think is great and keep it moving... You sound like a hater

That is not true homie 🤣 There were plenty of whack rappers back then. Tell me that Chingy was spitting like this in the early 00s.
What story? He just had a really nice rhyme scheme lol
Kendrick used a MF DOOM and 3k rhyme pattern. That Part.
Wait, rappers use rhyme patterns? I need to look this up.
More like 3k tbh
+DareDog101 Didn't they teach you that in school? It's like with poets they use a AB rhyme pattern
I know I'm deep into hip hop once I recognized the flow. DOOM and 3k are amazing
Andre 3ks predecessor
Kanye's verse: "Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, OKAY!"

DOOM does that but better
MF DOOM has rhymed every word in 5 lines in a row without stressin
While you here look up Lupe Fiasco Glory. Same 5 syllabe rhyme through 3 verses
There was better rhyme schemes in 90' its not that special

Wasn't that hard to top imo
I mean, Schoolboy said in an interview that he just wanted to have fun on that track, so it's not like Kanye couldn't drop a hot verse if he wanted to, it's just that he wasn't asked to.
He was asked to wild out.
+JittyTiggle ok ok ok ok ok

That rhyming scheme is so complex, clean and clear, while still getting his message across, holy.
I have no idea what he’s even saying it didn’t make any sense lol
@@TheFemboyConnoisseur this aint a insult, but you gotta be ignorant to not be able to understand some of what he is saying
@@TheFemboyConnoisseur for example "Society kept my IQ vexed, denying me from an Ivy school, applying me to the streets I slept" he basically just said that society denied him higher education despite the fact he was a smart student and instead he had to learn on the streets.

Can we have an interview about this multiple rhyme scheme verse with Kendrick ?
Like how did he write this, how much time did he takes to write it ?
(I know he isn't the first rapper to do this but I want to know)
It just takes time, he has done multiple rhyme schemes like these before

I've seen it in the Vox video but I didn't know.

Came here to appreciate Kendrick again
Shit, Kendrick really going for the god flows. I know I've heard 3 stacks doing some shit like that before. Em too. But Kendrick doesn't do this much. He's more about lyrics than flow. But his flow on this is godly. Not too many rappers that still rap master multiple flows like that. I feel like Kendrick can really do anything rap related. Honestly Wayne is like the only rapper I can think of that been around for a while but can still adapt to almost any flow. Takeoff from the migos is crazy with his flow too just their lyrics aren't too special. It's good to still see balance in rap.
jay rock had the best verse on this song though
and notice he didn't cuss one time!
Lani Bandz what does cursing have to do with rap? so if u dont swear lyrics are better? im smh so hard right now
that's not what I mean I meant he doesn't cuss throughout his whole verse which means he has a strong vocabulary not most rappers can do that and at the speed he's rapping too.
and no it doesnt make lyrics better
insane rhyme scheme
dudes an alien on the mic.
No, not really.
The fact that he was using such a complex rhyme scheme but it didn't come off as just showing off, style over substance. That's the problem I have with modern day Eminem. He always comes with the super complex internal rhymes but it always feels so forced, like he's doing it because he can. Most of the time there's no meaning to what he's saying. He's just throwing in random words that happen to rhyme without actually saying anything. But with Kendrick's verse, there's no filler bars, everything he's saying has meaning behind it. And it flows perfectly too. The rhymes are noticeable, but they're not being shoved in your face.
On what song is his story telling more murky than this
When you stand in the game for so long and
You’ve been pennin’ the pain that you’ve gone through
In tremendous ways of loose thoughts it takes
Strenuous strain to lure stuff that is
Brand-new, unsaid and fueled up
Longevity for an artist ain't no joke bro...
@@loki5074 admitting it's hard is not fixing the fault
@@vasnayapolyana7250 Fixing what fault? I don't see no fault with the "modern day Eminem" doing his thing. You expect him to be soulful like he was 20 years ago?
@@loki5074 no I like modern Eminem. What I'm saying is I feel like k dot and most every modern rapper's story telling abilities are not up to par with someone like em, Tupac, RA or the like.
Anyone felt chills down there spine when Kendrick said that part
This is definitely one of my favorite verses of all time. From the quick and heavy bars to the incredibly smooth flow throughout the verse... just incredible.

EenMagnetron I like Isaiah's verse more then Kenny's tbh. His rhyme scheme was amazing and comparable to to Kendrick's in this song.
thats one of my favorite verses of all time. Flow was immaculate

Alot of people disregard kendrick because they hear him rap but they dont really listen to him
Li Johnson you just explained every mainstream hip hop fan 😂
When I was younger I totally did this. When GKMC was first released I thought he was just another overrated rapper (I hated most rap at the time) rapping about drugs drinking etc. Every time I saw the cover of GKMC I thought "this cant be that good.
Now I actually listened to it and heard the real shit he spits.

I think they were trying not to double count the same words on the same rhyme scheme; I disagree with it but I've heard that type of sentiment on multiple rhyme scheme videos
Logic of Kdot Haters: I don't like Kendrick Lamar but I'm going to spend my time listening/watching this video just so I can go in the comment section and talk about how he's not better than other rappers, which has nothing to do with this particular video at all.
Emmanuel Bey Even if you don't enjoy listening to Kendrick's music, you have to respect that he is the greatest technical rapper of our time.

On the cool, I haven't even heard the remix yet but this breakdown makes me appreciate Kendrick's pen. I'm sure I wouldn't have realized what he was doing (while listening). I would have appreciated the flow, delivery and bars. But I wouldn't have fully grasped on to what he was doing (while listening). Good job.
He’s just the best. That’s all I gotta say.

When you think about it, not all of the words actually rhyme. It's the way he pronounces that makes it sound smooth. Any aspiring rappers remember that.
KingOfAllLamas that's how rap in general is
KingOfAllLamas he did, but this flow is more complicated
Alot of it also does not make sense . Which is also cheating
It’s called flow my dude

The way Kendricks rap just flows!
“The awe, the curse, of a pose in zest The good the flaw the pain to reverse what’s left”...only poets speak and use this type of language.
My goodness this man is special!
What does that even mean?
When he said "Hold your breath", it was not just a lyric, can't rap along till the end.
Still come here ritually.
Crazy verse. Been one of my favs of the year.

Kendrick up there with the legends. If he was from the 90s, he'd be in most peoples top 10 or even top 5.
Hes top 3 with André and Kanye
Propably not. The 90s was insane. This is a dope verse no denying it but I don't think the lyrics should be fucking decrypted to make any sense.
@@4am555 No. Hell no.
@@dterror3679 Facts. Kendrick overrated af. He just said a bunch of random bs that rhymed and flowed good. Usually he don't even do that much. To put him above, or even in the same breath with real storytelling lyricists like Nas, Black Thought, G Rap, Em, and them is disrespectful af.

And people say Kendrick isn't a top lyricist 😂😂😂
lol wtf are you talking about , people always say kendrick is a top lyricist
ALEJANDRO ANGEL No, they actually don't
SportObsessive Bryant - they do , kendrick lamar was named best lyricist so many times ,
the only one who said he wasnt one was lupe fiasco , cause hes jealous of kendrick lamar
dennis cooper Maybe jealous of his success, but Lupe Fiasco is one of the G.O.A.T lyricists. Quite better than Kendrick.
AK- JORDY-7 He's not better than Kendrick Lamar lyrically.
He's just more enthused with being more complexed. He would compound his lyrics purposely just to do it. There's no real deep meaning behind a lot of the verses he spits. Is just double entendre after double entendre, play on words after play on words, bars after bars. And it will make you go "ooh that was tight"..... But once you put it all together you find yourself asking "where is it taking me". And a lot of his music are very simple to get, we understand immediately where he's going with it, but that doesn't stop him from trying to be over complexive. It's kind of like what Murder Mook was saying to Loaded Lux and their second battle.
So it's not like he's more lyrical than Kendrick it's the fact that Kendrick don't see the success and being that lyrical.
Looking back you notice that hip-hop artists are more successful than rap artists. When you find artists that know how to be both they are considered hybrids. Kendrick, J Cole, Jay-Z, Outkast, Tupac, Wu-Tang, Biggie, Lil Wayne etc. These are some examples of hybrids. They can be lyrical without sacrificing the beat(which is hip hop).
Lupe can't be successful in making music anymore......it's not like he can... he just don't know how to actually make music anymore. Which is why he's stuck in his ways. He wants to make his ways the importance of Hip Hop. Because he can't evolve or can't step out of his own element. Like how KRS Gospel, try to change the concept of what hip-hop is, just so it match his own style, which was complete bullshit. He changed the meaning of MC to match his style..... Words don't mean shit in Hip Hop, so saying intellectual lyrics is one of the main aspects of being an MC is bullshit. Hip Hop was thriving way before wordsmiths. And when words were introduced they didn't have to be complicated. Just have to have meaning and emotion behind them.
And when you try to over complicate things you lose the emotion behind them as well as the impact behind them. If you're too busy thinking with your head you're not going to have any heart in your music anymore. You would just be a robot splurrin out ,context grammatical error, and translations of words with the most syllables.
That's okay sometimes when you try to show people the advancement of your knowledge and how wide your vocabulary is.
But in an album....hell no. Unless the album is called vocabulary, Webster, encyclopedia, SATs, IQ, College Prep Etc don't do that shit in the album, or your career is going to be short.... as you can see every lyricist that be over lyrical career don't go too far at all.
Nas MF Doom Lupe KRS 1 black thought etc etc all their careers did not take off or either fell short.
Damn! Respect to Kendrick for keeping true hiphop and lyricism alive in this sea of mumble-triplet rappers.
