Only one problem it is a very large game and might not have some certain customization but be happy for when the day may 4 of next year comes around

tcs had short, to the point cutscenes.
tss looks to have much grander-scale cutscenes. iunno. hearing the grunts and sounds might not be so good over long scenes.

The gameplay and graphics look great, but something about the way it's animated and the voices they gave them just seems odd, like it doesn't quite fit

Omg when you compare them side by side you really get to see how dated TCS is, still a amazing game but man has it needed a remaster for a long time.
I know its not a remaster but im gonna consider it one in kinda the same way final fantasy 7 got "remastered" even though they both are closer to a remake

I wouldn't say it needed a remaster at all. Part of the charm is how aged it is.
i mean, there was so many features added between tcs and tss. tcs was the first 2 lego star wars (the former of which was the first of the modern lego games), and since then while the basic formula is the same, its scope of things just... well it makes tcs feel tiny in comparison.
and visually while it's still charming. the models definitely have aged. certain details are either not present or present but with a generic piece. and don't get me started on how everyone uses the same lightsaber hilt except darth maul.
i feel like if all goes well, tss might replace tcs for me as my way of re-experiencing the films. besides, if lego star wars taught me anything, it can likely make the sequel trilogy tolerable at the very least.

TCS will always be my favorite LEGO game, but I’m so excited for The Skywalker Saga, it’s unreal.

The thing is, the LONG lightsaber piece isn’t a real LEGO piece. They want it to be accurate to actual legos. But I understand it’s cool.

@@zts3902 It has Indiana Jones as an unlockable character. Other than that, it's just the first two games put together with an extra level (cut from the first game) and alterations to the "harder" levels like the Pod Race.

He couldn't. It was a direct comparison. I love the sequels so I would be happy either way but it makes sense for them to not be in this video as it's meant to compare to a game that was made before the sequels.

i was playing lego games a lot and when batman 2 came out i didn't really mind cuz i wasn't really into the comedy of the cutscenes i was mostly just playing the game
and now when i played the older games i couldn't get used to grunts
so i think it's just about what you played more makes you prefer more

Same here man, I lost my 3ds cartridge for the game a while ago, but last week I finally bought TCS on steam, and it's definitely better than I remember (although maybe the 3ds version was just inferior, idk)
I play a ton of other old star wars games too though, I have the original 2005 version of battlefront II by pandemic studios, I have republic commandos, I've got Jedi Academy, and I even once had KOTOR on a tablet, because apparently it can fit on a kindle fire now...

Man, I've heard about the grunting or no grunting option, but, while it may sound needy, I hope there's also an option between character deaths being them getting absolutely wrecked (like in old games) and the dumb shit they do now where they do a gag about ketchup

Lazy CJ Productions no, actually not. The mumbling is much better than voice acting, and the voice acting in TSS sounds bad. TCS is simpler, and the combat is amazingly fluent
Jakob Noreus To me Combat in TCS saga is a bit too slow for my taste, and I think that using the actual voice lines from the movie is much better than the mumbling, prolly because I just think it can get on your nerves some times.
