Well done Gareth for not going down the mercenary road ! I do enjoy your videos because you never act as so many other do as if they know everything. It's just like having a friendly ,ordinary person in the living room.
i do roast spuds in mine 1.wash spuds and dry. 2. chop spuds dont bother peeling them. 3. put chopped spuds in a bowl and coat with salt , pepper and garlic seasoning (or the seasoning of your choice) and a drizzle of oil and mix around so they all get coated. 4. set the fryer at 190c and 15 minutes given them a good shake (some fryers are different so you may have to alter the settings). 5. set going again 15 mins at 190c , obvs keep an eye on them.
Hi Gaz, my lovely wife used to do all the cooking but my son bought me a Ninja for my 50th birthday this year, I've never looked back best gadget ever, loving your channel so down to earth, never change pal
Well those sausages looked absolutely spot on, for sure. I love to get a good crisp on them just how you cooked them. Don't know what that brown sauce tastes like, but I'm sure it's good. How can all of you fine British folks be wrong, am I right? :) Have a blessed day brother!
What country are you in that doesn't hAve brown sauc e? Maybe USA ?/.... You have.a lot of sauces we don't have though. ... I love BBQ sauce with Jack Daniels in it!!!
Happy Sunday Gareth. A comparison and a Air Fryer experiment in one video, a gift! Sausages look great, you have them as I do, cut in half on 50/50 bread. As for sauce; I switch between HP and Daddies and I can notice the difference in taste, I'll even give the Smart Price a shot now too. Another great video pal, keep it up.
I was never a fan of brown sauce in general, but I've given the old taste buds a workout on spicier, hotter foods since I started watching your videos. So I will try brown sauce again, but I shall try the Aldi Bramwells Brown Sauce. 49 pence for 455g. Tesco's sausages and chipolatas are very tasty, but the Aldi ones are very similar and a little cheaper.
Thanks for that Gareth. I'll buy chipolatas too because I noticed it said on the packet that you don't have to prick them. That must mean that they shouldn't burst their skins.
Great review they look great I have had an air grill with the glass bowl for years use it for loads my oven doesn’t get used only for cakes have bought an air fryer didn’t like the fresh chips but the chicken was great as I would think the sausages are thanks for review
Hi Gareth. Oooh yes pork Chipo's airfried are the best. A tip: lightly coat them with some oil spray before cooking, this will help with a quicker browning. Effectively what you're doing here is drying the skin brown, when sausage skins are meant to be fried brown. I bake mine in the NF's pot @ 190 for 12 minutes with a quick roll around @ 6 minutes.. Done. I bought a tray of 16, cooked 8 to have with breakfast over 3 days. I've never tried them with HP, just ketchup and bbq sauces. Another great demo with the ninja. Cheers mate. 👍😀🇦🇺
14:37 Butter doesn't need to be kept in a fridge in the UK for 11 months of the year. It is a saturated fat which means the bonds are extremely stable. You could leave butter on the counter for monthe before it starts to go rancid. Eggs and butter are two things yo don't need to put in the fridge.
I have had my fryer for just over a year now I am that impressed with it I went and bought another one so I have two going if I need to, like you I do not use my main cooker anymore you can do everything in these fryers everything that a cooker would do The fryer will do and a lot better quicker and tastier definitely recommend to anyone thinking of getting one 👍 enjoy your channel keep the good work up
Ah, Gareth thou art a sausage lover like me. Over here in Australia we also call them 'snags' (slang.) Great idea doing them in the air fryer. Those pork chipolatas looked good., perhaps some fried onions with the sandwich even better !! Now the sauce, HP sauce is no longer English !! Been made in the Netherlands for some years now. Bit over priced too, you pay for the name, as you said the supermarket generic brand is just as good at half the price. Overall good job, 9/10.
Hi Gareth, those sausages looked yum! We've ordered our air fryer off amazon and it'll be delivered possibly next week, looking forward to trying it out 👍🏻
These air fryer things look incredible! I only learned about these things a year ago and it seems they’re very popular now. I wonder what creative weird things can be done with them.
I get butchers sausages, and it browns them all the way round, and they taste brilliant. Anything like barbeque food goes great in those things. You can do really good home made chips too. Get a maris piper, chip it up and put the raw chips in water for a bit, to remove starch. Dry them with a towel or cloth and use just a teaspoon of oil and mix in a bowl, covering the chips in oil. Whack them in on 180 for about 25 minutes. Keep an eye on them and shake regularly. Not as good as deep fried, but not far off.
Frozen chip of all varieties in air frier. But proper home made chips, I do, in deep fat fryer. Which is out in garage,as not to stink out the house. Keep newspaper there, to rap basket in. Great tip, cheers
They are my favourite sausages too this has reminded me to get some for my Christmas Pigs In Blankets. Just saw you do the one on top one on the bottom with the crusts. I did that the other day with a loaf of bread that the crust was really thick at the bottom, I thought I arrived at the idea myself now I'm thinking did I see you do it without mentioning it & it planted the idea in my head. : )
Great video as always A suggestion for a review, Aldi pack of two fish burgers, Alaskan Pollock either buttermilk or Southern fried coating, I love them, the fish is really nice & flaky, I think they are £1.49
Hi Gareth. Not done sausages in mine yet but do intend to soon. Yours looked great, so im looking forward to doing some. Also you might have given me an idea for your next little cheap n cheerful but useful gift. But im going to test the idea out on mine first to see if it works. Another superb Air Fryer video. I could eat that sandwich right now. All the best. Cheers.
Looked nice Love sausages I'm a fan of heinz sauce because that's what we always have But now a will try supermarket brand. Best wishes Gareth and family
Did you know, that with ‘Ingredients’, they start the list with the product that there is most of, and end the list with the product that there is least of. So if you see ‘water’ for example, as the first ingredient, then there is more water than anything else. I always look for where the ‘meat’ is positioned…..1st place….then that’s excellent! ps. Great video as always!
Have had a NinJa Air Fryer for a while now (mine is the dual tray version, so you can cook 2 different things at different temperatures if you want) & its great. Hardly use the oven or frying pan any more. Just got a great tip from watching your videos & even though the trays fit in the dishwasher, I am going to line the bottom of both trays with tin foil to stop drips
Hi Gareth,I've tried my ninja, absolutely love it ,did a roast chicken ,roasties and parsnips in it,was lovely ,I'll definitely be doing a lot more in it xx
Hi Gareth hope all’s well. I’ve never tried any of the Supermarket sausages before, it’s either Cookstown brand pork ones that you can buy from the shops or I buy pork sausages from the Butchers. They’ve won Prizes for their pork sausages and vegetable roll 🤤 😋 I like a decent sausage with a nice snappy skin when ya bite into it. I have to agree as well that it’s got to be brown sauce, although it’s HP Fruity or Branston I like. Hope ya enjoyed your sausage butty 😋😋
Had my air fryer a couple of days now. Its spot on! Did Sossiges yesterday and they were really good. Chicken is great in it as well. Can't wait to do more, and it's easy to clean as well 😁
great heads up on those sauces mate. i must go to asda a bit more! sausages looked good. i would have used "air crisp" from the start but dont know which method would be best as, like you, i am still learning. they make quite a few models in the "foodi" range, mine is the op450 and looks identical to yours so i'll be keeping a close eye on your progress with it. great tip on putting the foil in bottom of foodi pot, they are a sod to clean. maybe you should do a "ninja" playlist? !!!
Looks great Gareth, I have to agree with you Brown sauce on sausage sandwiches, Tomato sauce on Bacon Sandwiches. Spot on . And that is that , see you soon . 😋
My local corner shop isn't exactly a gourmet's delight, but their hand-made sausages are superb! I've no idea what their "secret" ingredient is but they're beyond tasty. Love them.
Great review gareth those sausage looked amazing and I prefer red sauce with sausage butties and brown sauce on toasties on a budget I go for bramwells from aldi or branston red top for luxury 👍👍🌭🌭
Wow they look nice. Just tried TGI Friday boneless chicken legs with Smoky BBQ sauce. OMG they are salty dude. Not enough sauce in sachet to thoroughly coat all pieces of chicken so I bought a bottle of Heinz BBQ sauce which went great with the chicken, but as I said they are extremely salty.
i’m actually genuinely fascinated by this video. am wondering about getting one of those yokes, this is good info., MASSIVE EDIT!!! spinning one slice of bread around???? What?????? Never seen it, never even thought of it. The new normal!
Hiya Gareth! Sorry not a lover of brown sauce. If having ketchup, has to be heinz and mayonnaise, Hellman’s or heinz. I don’t mind either. Tesco chipolatas they are not too bad. I’m a big lover of Irish Richmond sausages wether they are thick or thin. I know they taste a bit plain but they are still good. Thanks for sharing. Loving your Ninja fryer
The next time i'm in my local Tesco Store... I'll definitely grab a pack of these Finest Range Chipolata Sausages Gareth... Who doesn't like a decent quality Sausage mate!?... 😂 And although i haven't bought them in quite a while, i do love Tomato Sausages... You can only get them from a butchers shop these days... I used to buy Morrisons Tomato Sausages from their Butchers Boy Range... But they must have stopped production of them now... As i haven't seen them in store for years... Anyway, thanks for the review Gareth... Cheers mate. 🍺
Dot from UK I'll give those sausages a try they look good and tasty. The other day I saw one of your videos and one of your fans sent you a cookery book by Robert Jones Air Fryer Cookbook 1000 day delicious. Have you used it yet would love to see some recipes from it, how about showing us? Lots of love from Dot x
Sausages look nice .gotta be HP sauce .I don't have a cook book for the ninja as you said trail and error every one does things differently cook books and temps are just a guide
Great video I have a halogen air fryer they are good until the bulb needs changing and you have to cut the wires and solder the new one's on to the connectors terrible workings if you ask me lol
Another for me to buy Pet You make me Hungry every time I watch you so I am watching vthis eating a Bacon Bap In Some Buns Bought from ICELAND The Part Bakedbut only take Six To Eight Minutes in Oven While I cook my abacon in Microwave The Buns are Delicious Fresh Baked Ad Well try them Obviously I will be doing it all in my AIRFRY WHEN I GET IT AS WELL Try Fruity Sauce As well Delicious Gone very pricey though Great Review 👍 Take Care That's That 😋
We have a halogen cooker....exactly the same principle as the Ninja, and a lot cheaper. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the Ninja....just Timer/Temp'. As it is in a big glass bowl, you can keep an eye on what's cooking without stopping and lifting the lid. We finish off part baked rolls in them...8 to 10 minutes on roughly 175 degrees (trial and error on timing). As there is only the two of us we use it a lot, even do our bacon in there....and of couse as you said.....half the time to cook, saves on the leccy as well. The oven is mainly for roasts nowadays!
Red on bangers, brown on bacon! I found Heinz ketchup too gloopy and preferred the taste and texture of Daddies until it changed when they started making it in Poland. I found Biona on a reduced to clear shelf in the pound shop and it's good! Organic too Have you tried Guinness brown sauce? It's another level Your sausages looked less browned on the hinge side after the first 13 minutes, but more even after the last 4.
Gareth, You say the oven is on the way out, look at partmaster online, repaired our oven with new elements for very little compared to buying a new oven. You can save a lot of money doing that, our element was only £33.61 last year. We have had used a Tefal Actifry for years only use it for chips, but it has a paddle so stirs the chips so no need to open until done
We have the larger function one to this, had it about 15 months , its a total game changer, getting the ninja mini oven and blender in new year, sausages take about 15 minutes in ours altho saying that hubby uses it more than me Cant do cheap brown or red sauce has to be HP and Heinz
Hi Gareth can you tell me where to buy an air fryer the same as yours as I can see how yours works as I am 81 it would be easier for me to use .by the way we love your foodie show . ♥ from North Wales.
Cracking infovid as normal Gareth. For anyone with a more basic air-fryer where they don't recommend cooking sausages/burgers etc, as in my Philips one, I simply add 2 mugs of cold water to the bottom of the pan. This stops any fat spitting, and the fat then pours away afterwards (down the bog). I also remove the mesh pan and use a wire rack which is easier to clean.
Nice review mate the Asda smart price Brown Sauce 460g I thougt was over priced it's actually 45p I don't know what was going on there also you can get from Tesco Stockwell & Co Brown Sauce 530G for 57p.
Well done Gareth for not going down the mercenary road !
I do enjoy your videos because you never act as so many other do as if they know everything.
It's just like having a friendly ,ordinary person in the living room.
Oh cheers Betty, very kind of you.
i do roast spuds in mine
1.wash spuds and dry.
2. chop spuds dont bother peeling them.
3. put chopped spuds in a bowl and coat with salt , pepper and garlic seasoning (or the seasoning of your choice) and a drizzle of oil and mix around so they all get coated.

5. set going again 15 mins at 190c , obvs keep an eye on them.
Did that yesterday, really turned out well😁
Cheers Mike great this, thank you 😋😋👍👍
Them sausages looked really tasty and so crispy. Going to have a sausage butty, feel hungry now. Thanks Gareth.

Your dead right brown sauce on sausages red sauce on bacon great video oh an them chipolatas are lovely very tasty 👍
Cheers Mick.
Cheers Andy, yes good idea that, mine is very old the fan part stops and starts lol
Thanks for another honest review 💜💜💜
Cheers Barbie 😍

We have the larger function one to this, had it about 15 months , its a total game changer, getting the ninja mini oven and blender in new year, sausages take about 15 minutes in ours altho saying that hubby uses it more than me
Cant do cheap brown or red sauce has to be HP and Heinz
Cheers
HP is in a league of its own

Cracking infovid as normal Gareth.
For anyone with a more basic air-fryer where they don't recommend cooking sausages/burgers etc, as in my Philips one, I simply add 2 mugs of cold water to the bottom of the pan. This stops any fat spitting, and the fat then pours away afterwards (down the bog). I also remove the mesh pan and use a wire rack which is easier to clean.
Thank you
