    Do you have the pinout to both connectors on the PMS?

    Hello !
    My 1996 C180 can't start. Mechanic told me the PMS is the problem because they tested every non-electronic possibility for my problem. However, they also said they can't communicate with the unit in order to get error codes, it doesn't return anything apparently. What do you think ?

      If you have 38 pin connector, you can build simple diagnostic tool: czcams.com/video/xdVemMjTMTk/video.html

      Another question, would buying another pms module, same car same engine and swapping it work ? These only cover engine management and aren't specifically coded for one car or am I wrong ?

      @@jusubbidiy Hi it is me again.
      You previously said I could swap my faulty PMS module for another one, same part number. I'm looking into this solution to my problem but I'm a bit concerned about something and can't find enough info online. My 96 c180 has an immobilizer system. Is it tied to the PMS module, meaning swapping won't work as keys won't be recognized, or is the immobilize managed somewhere else ? What do you think ?

    Hello, what exactly trimmer plug does? What is this for?

    • @jusubbidiy
      @jusubbidiy  Před 2 lety

      With trimming plug you can change timing advance. Some values also add more fuel. 110 ohm is for 95 octane fuel with cat. 220 ohm is same but add +6% more fuel. You can find values in Mercedes technical documents.

    My car is running fine but it loses power on highways, im not sure if its the throttle body or the ignition coil. I tried taking out the trimming plug and it doesn't make a rough idle when reverse gear so idk what is the issue.
