    I went to MSU, I agree with alot of what you said. I regret studying Sociology there I didn't learn jack. Everyone was mad stuck up too on campus, I never met anyone. And yes, my mental health went loco.

    I would definitely love to hear more about commuting/parking! I’m planning on commuting to Montclair next fall and that’s probably the one thing I’m most nervous about lol

      My boyfriend commuted to Montclair and he lives about an hour away. Long story short he's now a resident student. Not to freak you out or anything, but just be prepared for anything and everything.

      Hi! I am currently a graduate student at montclair state ive been here for 5 years I know everything about this university, Ive dormed and commuted, ive done it all. The parking really isnt that bad, I park in lot 60 and take a 5 minute shuttle ride to the center of the university and I never have to worry about not finding a parking spot. The probem is everyone wants to park in the same parking deck so it fills up quick, instead of waiting 10 minutes driving up and down car-parc, just park off campus and take a shuttle, I usually park in car parc on less busy days, it is totally managable just give yourself time to park and get to class. Let me know if you have any more questions!

      @@janaa527 Depends on where you live, if you're near the Montclair-Boonton Line then it should be good. Just remember there's only trains on the weekdays.

    I'm isolated at Montclair for COVID rn and I wish I had chosen to go home. There is no clear communication, so it's a hassle just to get food or basic necessities. The room is scary and they do next to nothing to make the situation more welcoming. The only plus is that the RAs at the front desk are super nice and understanding.

      @marinasaburova  Před 2 lety +1

      Oh nooo, don’t be scared! There are lots of pros too, i talk about it in another video! I dormed at Blanton. There are pretty good vegan options at the cafeteria (better than their regular stuff anyway), although I always think places can use more vegan options. Downtown Montclair has very good vegan options if you ever want to go out to eat (or Doordash it). And I’m a computer science major

    Montclair is my top school rn and ur making me nervous! 😭 but i was wondering if you know about bohn hall and if there are jobs i can get on campus?

    • @marinasaburova
      @marinasaburova  Před 2 lety +2

      Oh noo don’t be scared! Have you watched the pros video? It’s not all bad. Depending on what you want from a school it could be good for you!
      I haven’t lived in bohn hall but I’ve visited it once or twice. It’s a freshman only dorm and has communal bathrooms and there’s no AC.
      There are a lot of jobs on campus but i would suggest to apply early (like right now! For the fall) you can work at the rec center, as an SA, at the IT help desk..

    • @aceyukionna1802
      @aceyukionna1802 Před 2 lety +2

      I live at Bohn Hall. Everyone makes it seem like the worst since it's a "freshman dorm" but it's really what you make it. It's a bit loud at night and the communal bathrooms are...a situation. But otherwise the dorms are pretty okay and the RAs are super chill. Just be ready to fight for the laundry room. There are a lot of on campus job opportunities, but be sure to check them out early because positions fill up quickly. Check out the library first, they pay pretty well and always have spots available.
