The respect Tom has for Bisping is so touching, Bisping is always super vocal about how much he believes in Tom and how good a guy he is. Hope he gets the job done!

Tom Aspinall is what other fighters want people to believe they are but they are not. He is the definition of anyone, anytime, anyplace and he is doing it also while being a gentleman in a very respectful way without becoming a clown. Many casuals just want to see outside drama now to bring attention to the fight but this guys fight time inside the octagon speaks for himself

1.) He's a heavyweight and doesn't have to cut ridiculous amounts of weight
2.) It's prizefighting and I guarantee you now every single contender on the roster would take a championship fight and their biggest payday ever on short notice.

@@Disinfo321He wanted to fight Pavlovic and not for the title but that fight got turned down numerous of times and not because of Tom. Then Pavlovic got booked as a replacement for Stipe or Jon. Then he wanted to fight Ciryl but Ciryl didn't want to fight him. And as for the 2) many guys will turn down a short notice title fight because you want to be at your absolute best when it happens. Actually If you ask someone from top 3 they will most likely turn it down cause they will get it either way. From top 5 and beyond, yes of course they might take it cause they are not stupid, it's a fast way to climb the rankings or even win a title.
This week proves there are more fighters who do this than just Tom, Usman and Volk this week before this.
I’ve not wanted to see a fighter win this much since Bisping! The parallels are insane.. he talks really well and promotes himself well without having to be a jackass. Balls of steel, really glad to see him get this opportunity

He's so interesting. He's one of the best spoken people in the UFC. He deserves a huge payday, but I hope we get to see him fight for a long time. The other UFC heavyweights, I don't think any of them can even conduct an interview.

The UFC asked Jiri to give it up. An interim title to fight Jiri doesn’t sell. An interim title for up and comers like Asp and Pav with a chance to fight Jones gives them better exposure and sells more.
I’m all for this fight. I firmly believe Pavlovich and Aspinall are gonna run the heavyweight division for the next decade.

Pav has an unstoppable energy almost like Fedor in his prime. Tom is a legend for taking this fight. Easily my favorite fighter on the roster right now.

I know what you mean but given that Fedor was a well polished striker with excellent ground game and submission skills in his prime, whereas Pavlovich is just big and swings hard, this seems like a massive insult to Fedor.

I am more excited to see Tom Aspinall fight than even Jones vs Stipe. Tom is the future of the Heavyweight Division, I believe that.
Jiri wasnt stripped though, he vacated the belt voluntarily, since he did not wanna hold up the division. Or so the word goes.

Turns out he was forcibly convinced to "vacate". He claims he did not want to. So regardless of what they say, we need to not let them run with it acting like they didn't take it off of Jiri. We must understand that he was stripped.

Jon Jones needs to be stripped (no offense to Jon). A really severe injury, late in a career, you need to let the title go back out so the UFC can have a real heavyweight champion. Jon has only fought one time in heavyweight, so he doesn't have a long record of holding the heavyweight title. This fight needs to be for the real title, not an interim title.

Tough ask to beat Pavlovich on 2 weeks notice but this fight isn't getting out the first round anyway so he won't need a big camp, and if anyone can pull it off with their skills set it's Tom!

Hopefully, UFC 295 won't be a complete disaster like UFC 294. Credit to this kid for taking this short notice fight and saving the card. Kinda funny how the UFC is going to allow Jon to remain the champ for 16+ months upon his return without defending the heavyweight belt, but uncle Dana really loves him and always some politics similar to what Conor also got.

@@Kieran-jq5kk The entire UFC 294 main card lasted for around 1 hour, and the prelims sucked big time. Normally, the main card lasts for around 3 hours. Not to mention all fights were one sided besides the Khamzat vs Usman fight.

I'm happy he accepted so we have potential for an entertaining fight. He's the only heavyweight in the division that might have a chance against Pav. Hats off to both gentlemen though, two great fighters, long deserving of a shot

It’s a shame Tom didn’t get a full camp for this fight, there’s a big difference in being in the gym than being in the gym training for a big fight. It’s not only in the gym what a fighter does outside of the gym can be much different as well how they eat, sleep, etc.. hats off to Tom but he’s at a big disadvantage here fighting a savage like Sergi who’s been training and doing what’s needed to prepare for a massive fight and having plenty of time to do so.
