My camera's a few years old 1/60 is the fastest it goes without HSS, which is 1/250. It works for me.

Fyi Tony, Speedlight is the brand name used by Nikon Corporation for their photographic flash units, used since the company's introduction of strobe flashes in the 1960s.
The standard term is electronic flash not speedlight, unless you are referring to Nikon flash products.

Indeed. And the C.anon brand calls their on-camera electronic flashes "Speedlite".
