  • Flash Photography for the Beginner, Sponsored by Canon: Confused about flash photography? You’re not alone! These small flash units are some of the most versatile tools a photographer can have at their fingertips yet many people stay clear of them because of the misunderstanding of how they work or how Speedlites can improve the look of their photography.
    Join Eric Stoner, Canon Technical Advisor, for this class designed to explore the basics of flash photography. Knowing the “when and the how” part of the equation is a huge start and Eric will walk you through step by step to not only assess a scene to determine if flash is needed but also how to take control using ETTL automatic flash all while pushing minimal buttons. He’ll also share tips for making flash look like natural light so your images don't have that "flash" look.
    By the end of this class you’ll have the confidence to use that flash in your bag and start feeling confident while using flash.

    This - as with all B&H long-form tutorials - is just brilliant. The teacher is so patient, good at explaining everything, and really covers everything you need to know. Thank you SO much for sharing this knowledge with the world. I'm doing a Bachelor of Photography and literally learnt more from this than my flash teacher!

    Some old cameras I've collected has it right in the instruction manual when it's a good idea to use Flash Outdoors.

    Awesome class! Definitely B&H is my favorite electronic store. I really like the customer service, prices and speed when I have ordered. They send me fast my orders even I'm in Mexico City. Now I am enjoying these courses. Thanks!

    I have a Canon EOS 5D Mark IV. Is this considered a "dated" or old camera? I've seriously been considering switching to a mirrorless camera.

    5d mark 3 has noise at iso 800 starting to show up

  • @techgeek2994
    @techgeek2994 Před rokem

    problem with raising iso to get nice lighting in room is you are losing quality of the photo. higher iso equals losing picture quality.

    I scared with flash don't like the results

  • @techgeek2994
    @techgeek2994 Před rokem

    iso 800 to 1600 gives too much noise for 5d mark 3 or 5d mark 2 you are not telling people what cameras can really handle no noise at that iso level..

    “Flash Photography for Beginners... Only Using Automatic ETTL on a Canon Flash”. Biggest take away from the class, why learn math if you have calculators. 2 hrs and never going into manual flash seems a little too long to only dive into automatic flash photography.
