In this lesson, we discuss one of the often overlooked types of madd which ensures the correct application of natural madd. I am talking about madd at-Tamkeen مد التمكين. In this lesson, I discuss what it is, when to use, and how you can perform it with different examples.
PLEASE share the video as much as you can to spread the word and share the ajer in shaa Allah ...

This is how children learn languages. Even though they don't read large books of grammar, by listening/reading for thousands of hours, the brain learns an idea of how something should be read/mean without actually knowing the rules

There is a type of Idgham ( fusing of letters) called Idgham-e-mithlain in which a letter is preceeded by the same letter with Jazm, or the same letter but in Sakin state. But there are a few exceptions in this rule. Idghame Mithlain dosen't hold for Huroof-e-Maddah or the long vowels. This is why the vowels keep their original property of elongation, that is called Madd Altamkin, pronounced as Attamkin. But the interesting thing is that I didn't know until this video that in this cas this natural Madd gets this name. Thanks for adding to my knowledge

I have always had a question regarding tajweed and would be glad if you could help me with it. How many counts do we extend a natural madd occuring at the end of an ayah? In most recitiations of reciters, it soundes longer than 2 harakats. Can we imitate them or we should stick to 2 harakats?
