I dont know about buying a dishwasher. but this is easily one of the most classy reviews of a home appliance on youtube i have ever come across. Special mention for being simple, without deploying irritating jargons , no hype, no shitty music and a sequentially serene talk. Simply fabulous. hope lg sees this. they might start sponsoring u from next time.

I'm using IFB dishwasher since 10 years, seriously the wash quality will be amazing and utensils will shine like anything. Especially tea strains get cleaned like anything. I'm in love with my dishwasher. It will take hardly 10 litres of water and 1 unit for 2 hrs programme.

I have bought same in the month on 1st June 2020 but my costing for LG dishwasher was only 45k not 59k. My experience with Salt (I am using IFB it's very good also I don't need to refill it again since the 1st time filled may be because of water TDS is very low in my area) , detergent & rinse aid (I am using Fortune generally for my usage 1kg of detergent and 1bottle 500ml of rinse aid last for 3months).
    Costing for 3months
    Salt: ₹ 140, Detergent: ₹220 and Rinse aid: ₹150.
    Electricity cost increase by ₹250-300/pm.
You may find my costing too less may because of small family we need to run machine only once a day for all day utensils.
    Thanks for good review Mam🙏

Hey! It's recommended to remove food particles, but rinsing is not necessary or recommended. One of the biggest plus points of a dishwasher is limited use of water. Because of hot water and long cycle, stuck particles get plenty of time to loosen up and get washed off. Rinsing before putting it in dishwasher is a myth.

We have been using Bosch and LG dishwashers (in India) on our two homes and below is my feedback:
    Pros:
    1) Hot water = hygiene
    2) Slightly cheaper than maid
    3) Utensils come out shiny and dry
    4) Water consumption is very less and there is a pressure pump to suck in water and drain it out with pressure, so your piped water pressure doesn't matter.
    Cons:
    1) Many utensils like heavily soiled kadhai, milk pan, tea pan and lightly burnt utensils still have to be scrubbed by hand
    2) Utensils need to be pre-rinsed or pre-washed to remove food debris
    3) Rice utensil from the cooker have to be hand washed
    4) Copper, cast/wrought iron, wooden cannot be washed or face adverse reaction
    5) Need stock of rinse-aid, detergent and salt which is not readily available except online
    6) Proper cleaning cycle takes 1.5 - 3 hours, light cycle takes 30 mins, but doesn't wash properly
    7) Biggest con is that utensils need to be set properly "manually" which is done only by practice, and is yet very time consuming. Only if you set utensils properly, then they get washed and maximum utensils fit in. Remaining have to be washed by hand, so we still stock Vim liquid for manual cleaning.

If pre soaked milk pots, Tea pans and Rice pans are hand scrubbed, it take 10 seconds per utensils to scrub. Later on the washing and drying is done by LG dishwasher effortlessly. Copper pans can be done in 38 minutes cycle with Dual Zone, ensuring lower temperature and mild water jets for upper Rack. LG's short cycles of 38 minutes and 48 minutes, ensure perfect cleaning of utensils. In one cycle we have been washing 75 medium and small utensils and 25 spoons and ladles etc. for Rs. 8 to 10 per cycle, including the cost of electricity.

Yeah, if we soak utensils for so long, then they can't be used sooner.
Overnight soaking, then dishwasher wash cycle, means that morning tea/coffee/milk is missed.
New utensils can be bought, but rather than doing double work, it is much better to hand wash them

Would love to pay the amount spent on detergents n electricity bill to a maid, whose house run on it..
Secondly, the time taken to rinse, arrange, and take out the vessels is quite tedious.. one could wash easily all the vessels in almost same time or may be a couple mins more..
    Maintenance charges r high..
See no advantage in it except that it showcases once lifestyle or standard of living..
Rinsing n then putting it to wash is so much water wastage..waste of electricity too.. why not simply help someone with employment by hiring a maid.. they might be irregular sometimes but ain't the electricity too ?

I have mine for more than a year. I don't rinse the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher, i put them directly. I use a cheap detergent, and dishes are easy to arrange. It uses very less electricity, i have an A++, it uses about 30-40 pennys on a 90 minutes load, with 65℃ on water temperature.

An ultramodern dishwasher like Voltas Beko costs you around 39000/- . If there is power outage/ interruption, it starts from the last stage. Like, Fridge, if the power outage is for long, dishwashers will take some extra time to regain the lost temperature. one cycle with detergent, salt, Rinse Aid and electricity take 13 /- .AS such monthly expenditure on dishwasher is 400/-Dishwasher consumes about 1/4th of water, if compared to hand wash. the cleanliness is beyond compare. This is the reason that the dishwashers, on the strength of their utility, are selling like hot cakes.

i own it and i think it is just cosmetic item. Just fancy. The load capacity is very low. It is best for washing dishes hence the name "Dish"Washer. Using big utensil eats up all the space and whats the point of using 2 cycles just to wash 1 time utensils. Per cycle you need 1 (All in one) Capsule.
So my sincere advice is not get indulged in fantasies that this cute little princess is showing. And do yourself a favour of asking yourself that Will you still use it with all the abovementioned Problems.
Thanks for reading. Hope i was able to resolve your queries. If anyone felt insulted then i am really sorry. My intentions are very clear (No harm)

Can you share how it is performing during long power cuts? Does it start cycle from beginning, for eg is llf 20min passed for washing cycle and then power cut, after power is restored will it start from 0 or ~17-18 mins?

    • @prakash86anish
      @prakash86anish Před 6 měsíci

I can tell you about its longest cycle which is about 3:45 min (I use this every night with the delay timer) - AUTO + STEAM + HIGH TEMPERATURE + EXTRA DRY. The machine breaks this 3:45 min cycle into 3 parts : pre rinse (about 20 min) + rinse (3 hours - extra long because of STEAM + HIGH TEMPERATURE) + drying (25-30 min). If there is a power cut at any moment then the same cycle resumes from the beginning. So yeah, most likely the dishwasher will restart with rinse cycle (longest one). I believe most dishwashers would follow the same principles.
You can open the doors anytime (not recommended) and take out the utensils in case of long power cuts and drain the remaining water in the dishwasher later when the power is restored.

Hello ma'am goodevening, I'm here hoping to get some help regarding a dishwasher by LG ( same as your model) which I'm planning on buying in a week, Like everyone else, I too have been busy watching a lot of videos (which includes your videos as well which inspired me to go with LG) and have been trying to gather as much info as I can for the same so that I should not go wrong with this purchase. However after watching a lot of videos I figured out that a lot of people have been complaining about the 1)-Power outage resume function and 2)- the cleaning efficiency as people complaining the utensils getting spots. So, I got confused and decided to get back to you as your review was the most accurate about the appliance and since you own it and have been using it too..you are the best to answer my query. So ma'am, can you please tell me about these two issues people have been talking about? The stains or the blacks spots/marks ,do they sustain? Or are these spots because of people having little knowledge about the machine usage? Or does it really is there ? Should I go with buying it or is there a better option available? And finally how's the after sales service if you have availed it ? Thanks in advance ma'am with a hope to see your reply soon as that would indeed help me .

The machine breaks this 3:45 min cycle into 3 parts : pre rinse (about 20 min) + rinse (3 hours - extra long because of STEAM + HIGH TEMPERATURE) + drying (25-30 min). Thank you ma'am for your clear and complete presentation. Can I expect 10 years trouble free life for the top end product. What is the AMC cost after warranty

      @SimplifyYourSpace  Před 3 lety

Dear lot of things depends on voltage and water quality. Better to take extended warranty for all the big appliances. If you have lot of power cut in your area don’t but LG.. go for BOSCH.

Hello, thanks for the review. I had almost decided on LG DFB424FP. However when I came to know from multiple sources that during a power outage, LG does not resume the cycle from where it left, I got confused again. Not that my area has lots of outages but this feature is expected at such a steep price.
What do you think of this particular issue?
