That was Fami, their new bassist. She joined the band in October 2022 at the age of 20. She is phenomenal and wrote her bass part to this song in just a few weeks because the entire album was mostly all written before she joined. She also added a lot of spunk and energy to their live shows. She runs and jumps around and is smiling about 90% of the time. She re-energized the band. You can really see the difference she made during their current world tour and how much life she brought to their performances. The band is having fun again. Yes, you only need to watch fan footage from the European Festivals they played recently. Fami is running and leaping around the stage like a young Gazelle, all whilst playing a bass guitar that is nearly as big as she is, and playing bass lines as good as any I've ever heard. She really is special. Her interaction with the audience at the two London gigs I went to was great to see. I think she is the perfect choice for Lovbites.
Wait till you hear their softer / slower side...absolutely mind-blowing. This has become one of their most popular songs; a heavy metal classic. 🤘 PS. Haruna can double kick with the best of them but her cymbal work is unmatched in the genre, just my opinion. Her and Fami (bassist) are the perfect battery.
I have been following Lovebites for over 4 years, and have their CD's and concert Blu Rays. I've seen many bands live over some 60 years (yes, I'm that old !) but I was totally unprepared to experience Haruna live. Her bass double kick is something you feel as much as hear, there is so much power, and yet she is such a petite sweet young woman. I watched her in awe throughout their recent gig at The Garage in London. The whole band is just amazing, there is so much talent, without the ego that has destroyed so many good bands. Every member is on my list of favourite musicians.

They chose one female college student from among hundreds of applicants from all over the world. When they announced the new member, FAMI (bass guitarist), some fans were concerned about the fact that she had little experience in a band and that she did not play metal songs. They thought, "Let them judge the new LOVEBITES by the quality of the album we are making," and titled the album "JUDGEMENT DAY.
Some good news about Miyako's guitar (And some others from Dean) a higher court overturned the decision that Dean had to stop making V and Explorer shaped guitars. So Dean can start to produce them again, at least until the next trial date, which could be years down the road.
It was such a bizarre choice for Gibson to go after Dean in the first place, their whole "play authentic" thing just gave them negative karma in most people's eyes

Lovebites is up there with bands like Symphony-X and Dream Theater. Those bands are more exploratory, but I think Miyako will stretch her musical wings once Lovebites becomes a huge global brand name. Touring is the key.
But please, if you travel... let Miyako bring her keyboard, even if it's the small electronic one, and let Asami have a little room to move, even dance... and Haruna her drum kit with two bass drums and many symbols. Those who don't know them have to know what they can give, which is a lot.

Its a hard call - which is better - the live or the MV? Live is always live and prove their skills. It sound so good live. But, I think the bass and the drums are easier to hear in the MV, much easier. And, as you say, this is a very strong rhythm section driven song, its ta-ta-dumm from the bass through the whole song almost, with lots of fill outs from drums and bass.

Lovebites is the word for perfection! I saw them live on June 18th in Lindau, Germany incl. VIP meet and greet. Unforgettable!
