Live preview while recording is enabled for the 12. It would be a simple firmware update on their end to add it back for the 11 but I doubt they'll do that, to keep it as a selling point for the 12.
Great video! I have a question about the aperture of the max lens mod 2.0. I'm planning to shoot some night sky timelapses, this would be great for it! Can you tell me what the aperture value of the mod is? So does it let in the same amount of light as the standard lens, more or less? Cheers!

Wow, everything looks awesome, but theres one question I want to ask, that is, can we still turn off or remove fish eye effect after installing max lens mod ? Some times I just dont want the fish eye distorted videos
What I learned is that it needs to be pulled outwards a little bit before twisting. It was on a CZcams video, but not in the actual GoPro manuals. Take a butter kniofe or something similar and lift up just a little bit and it will turn easily.
I'm watching this video now because mine is not twising off. Feel like I'm about to break it. Battery hatch was super tight first few times as well though. But now it's not.

There is no hardware upgrade from 11 to 12 why is the lens mod 2.0 only for the 12 ???
Literally so they can force people to buy a 12. It makes NO sense, It can fit on my 11 and is the same price as the original, but I can’t use it in 4k because they CHOSE to lock it? They might as well have made it a different locking mechanism for the lens system, because it’s a legit slap in the face no reviewer has brought up.

Hello. I have max lens 2.0. There is a difference in quality between the 4k 60 images I took with the original hero12 lens and the 4k 60 images I took with the Max lens 2.0. The image is blurry with the Max lens 2.0, the focus is less, I get much better picture quality without the Max lens, is this normal?
Hi I have a GoPro Hero 12 Black . My settings are 16:9 | 4k | 30/60 | SuperView. HyperSmooth On, ProTune: Sharpness Medium, Color Natural, ISO MAX 400 or 800 everything else its default . Bitrate high color 10 bit My problem is that I find it almost impossible to record a video that has no noise. If it is a bright sunny day and there is some darker area in the frame, I see noise in that area. also owned a GoPro 5 black & Hero 8 black a few years ago and never had this problem like that in my Hero 12 Black GoPro Should fix this probleme ..... soon Updates for camera is to late 5 month rest and gopro 13 will be released and its predesor have not geat working great have a lot o big problems ...... that not good we west our money in this products that have a bunch o problems
Yes, HERO12 Black still supports Max Lens Mod 1.0. Please keep in mind that Max Lens Mod 1.0 does not support the new features + specs available in Max Lens Mod 2.0.

Seems like a cheap gimmick and not very professional, almost like gopro doesn't like it's customers enough to giveca video explaining details of what looks to be a greatvtech product, leaving customers blindfolded to find for themselves or rely on Joe average sharing what they stumbled on. 😮
Pro tip: leave the front cover on when installing your Max Lens Mod 2.0 and then remove it to avoid getting finger grease on the lens

I believe it fits but image may be distorted and you only get 2.7K, not 4K like in Hero 12. Unless they give us firmware update…
MLM 2.0 is not compatible with H11. on the other hand MLM 1.0 is compatible with H12

For the money the camera should automatically switch to Mod2.0, not manually. Add series of small magnets and a magnetic sensor. Very simple.
