You’re not justified by a profession of faith, your justified by a possession of it. God bless R.C Sproul!

As a learner of Reformed ideas, still working on coming away from Arminianism, this set of questions and answers was the most beneficial I have heard so far. Thank you.

A good series of questions and answers. I still struggle with the problem of evil question and I wish more time had been given to this.

Praise the Lord! I come into agreement. There needs to be fire in the pulpit. One that both illuminates and warms.

Goodness , evil and free will were all part of God in creation. We are given the choice to act upon and with them . From the creation of Af and Eve

Our Creator told of the results if disobedience was chosen, no secret kept, we choose, God or satan, heaven or hell. What there is to question God about? Choose whom you will serve and live eternally with your choice!

If there were no sin there would have been no need for hell or the cross

The Altar Call or "PUBLIC" CALL is what JESUS did. All of the disciples proclaim their allegiance to THE LORD in public. Profess me before men...….(ie Baptism, witnessing, testimony....so on) The CALL stirs the "fire" in the belly of the sinner. The Holy Spirit uses the "Call" to challenge and move the sinner into regeneration. It's like putting Bibles into the hands of the common man. Heresies will arise but many will be lead to the truth. The "Call" does the same. I know. I came to "The Call!" Amen.

The altar call produces a lot of false converts, it’s very problematic. It’s misused by pastors all over the place and gives a lot of unregenerate people a false sense of comfort.

@@iancampbell1494 It is not for you or me or anyone else to determine the condition of someone's heart. That domain belongs to GOD who calls. (Jn 6:44, 10:3, 14, Rom 10:9,10, Titus 3:5) JESUS calls us publicly (Mk 1:15, Mt 10:32, Lk 12:8) The Apostles called publicly (2:37, 38, 8:37, 13:43) Yes, many do not understand the Gospel and just "punch the ticket". BUT, that is not our responsibility, per se, we are to CALL, using The Word of God (Heb 4:12) and let GOD convict, regenerate, and sanctify,

@@spartacusantipas4580 right, I’m aware of all that and agree that we can’t see faith, but their are visible tangible fruits of the spirit. Irrelevant, I know for a fact that the tool we use called an alter call does indeed have a tendency to produce false converts, true conversion and regeneration is so much more then showing up to a building and praying a little prayer in front of a congregation. It needs to be more and we need to be more stringent more persistent and more passionate about this topic.

I enjoy the Q & A sessions. I really like RC Sprowl, however their view on the gifts of the Spirit are dead wrong.
It says in the Word of God, “ these signs will follow THOSE Who BELIEVE “. That does not only point to the Apostles but to all the Saints. If you believe then the gifts are for you.
Even though I believe that they are wrong, these are men of God and my brothers in Christ.

    R. C. & Goligher are wonderful; I disagree but on the giant, the essentials, they nail it...although I am puzzled by a thing or two these "big" persons in the church get so wrong. Maybe so conditioned into the forest of whatever you call it, a simple truth escapes them.
