- What Dave says here (2015ish) contradicts what he told Rolling Stone magazine around the release of the Crash album that #41 was about a lawsuit/lost friendship w/ manager Robb Hoffman (Referenced in, "Music For The People” by Nevin Martel). Early versions of #41 were played with improv lyrics, w/o a set theme, all throughout 1995. The final version was recorded in early 1996 then released on "Crash" in May of that year.
Video clip is from a longer 10min video promo that DMB's lighting/production company, Filament, had on their Vimeo page years back. DMB's official CZcams channel has the full video, but for some reason it seems it was edited down a bit more than the one that was on Vimeo back in the day. The CZcams version doesn't have the end of this clip w/ Dave talking about the lyrics to #41. You can watch it here though (7min): • 2014 Summer Tour Set B... - Hudba
For me, #41 is the epitome of a spiritual awakening and self love at its finest. It’s everything.💜🙏
I second that…..
@@DanielOrfield amen!💜🥰🙏
YES I Love #41 been Loving it for 25yrs. I don't understand how anyone could tire of that Live. They Surely don't know HOW much it actually means. #41 is DMB! ❤️🎶🌎☮️
I've got another version of #41 on my channel that would sound great if Dave and Tim played it live! "Playing #41 to God" I call it
#41 always reasonated with me during times of heartbreak during relationships ending or needing to end but being too scared to make that move. Being love sick, heartbroken and desperate ..thats when #41 gave me comfort
Saw this clip years ago always been looking for it
Wish that didn’t end…
Here's the "full" video, but for some reason I a version Filament had on Vimeo was slightly longer than the one on CZcams. I guess I ripped that one at the time because the one on CZcams doesn't have the very end segment of this clip. That said can watch it here: czcams.com/video/nP9JKKhYapY/video.html
@@JayBTV thank you
Love it
Whoa
He sounds like Dylan when trying to explain where the lyrics came from. Except with Bob it’s every song.
Here = 🔥🔥🔥 Every. Single. Time. It is sung…. 🫠✨❤ Where the lyrics come from is never anyone’s business. How he feels them is what people love. That’s authentic and sincere to me. It’s like he’s showing you his soul but you don’t know why. He does not ever have to really tell a soul why. That’s the magic of loving him.
love this comment
I’ll trust 1996 Dave on this one. He hasn’t been sincere in many years.
Cocaine is a hell of a drug
Oh dear God so this is what he sounds like with professional help?
