This design was already in the Subway system since the late 1920s the BMT Triplex. What they did was combine the open gangway design of the BMT Triplex with the bodyshell of the Kawasaki R160Bs. I wonder where will the R211Ts assigned to the C train run during the late nights. One possibility is to combine R211A rear 5 and R211T first 5 on the A train the other set running Euclid to Lefferts shuttle and then combine the two 5 cars sets of R211T as the first Lefferts to UWS 207th st connection to Bx12

LOL.. specialized war weapons! You anti gun people constantly find a new low on what you people actually know about guns.
PS. The military for example sidearm is a sig p320 . It's a 9mm handgun. The military also uses a Mossberg 590a1 shotgun. Which you can buy or a cheaper version of the 590. Or a 500 series... Or a maverick 88 which is mostly the same for 20 bucks.
Rifles are being replaced at the moment but they're essentially ARs. The new guns aren't ARs but they're similar enough that as far as the battery of arms and operation of it. It's an AR.

Nice……..now the funk from the homeless guy can waft “seamlessly”from car to car and the pan handlers can walk freely to harass riders who just want to be left alone…….AND and…….god forbid we have another active shooter situation like in 2022, he or she has more victims to choose from……another great idea at taxpayers expense. I can only imagine the other garbage they’re going to buy once it starts RAINING congestion pricing money.

No new yorker ive spoken to even wants these. How are we gonna get away from somone harassing you or a stinky car... Hoodlums are gonna be runing up and down. The MTAs priorities are all messed up are you guys drunk in the meetings? We woulda been fine with cameras.... And you saving money and not forcing congestion pricing. They need to get back to basics ..
