    Many people think that being educated means graduating collage, but actually being a collage graduate (at least in America) doesn't make you any more educated than anyone else. It only gives you a few specific skills for a few specific jobs which might not even be available for you after you graduate. The true education comes in being taught how to think, not what to think. That kind of education can only come from questioning things, not from being told things. The more you question, the more you learn how to think and the more truth about the world is revealed to you.

      That's the ideal, I think. :}
      The US has a... "big" problem with obesity because we value quantity over quality in every aspect of life.
      Cadillacs are terrible cars, but people think they're the greatest.
      Why?
      Because even though they're badly engineered, and built like Ikea furniture,

      I find most countries outside the US have better food standards. I can eat for pleasure overseas, but I'm not given jumbo portions either and generally feel healthier. The greatest thing about Carlin is that he can hit all the buttons of those who listen to him. Everyone who listens will disagree with some of what he says. He always meant for that to happen. He didn't want his audience to just agree with him, he wanted them to challenge him. Toward the end of his life, Carlin did get more dystopian in his monologues. It didn't change his message, it only tinted it. I still have hope in what we can do to make things better, he lost that hope. I will give him that. It doesn't take away from what he was trying to communicate. Just found your channel, enjoyed your reaction thoroughly.

    Yes, you are extremely fortunate not to be tied down and you're in control of your own finances. I became a caregiver to my mom at 18. I love my mom, but I feel like I have hardly any life experience and all my money and resources go to her. I'm 30 and feel like I have no control over my own life. Also, you are right about the pressure of society. I felt I needed to buy a house by my mid 20s or I would be a failure. Is You Tube your primary source of income? You are always traveling and that takes money. It always fascinates me how people can do that.

    The reason people desire these things is because that's what they're taught. Every person who goes to school K - 12 and then to collage are taught everything they know so the majority of people have only one frame of reference and one way of thinking. They can't fathom the thought when someone else comes along with a different way of looking at or doing things. "No"!!! This is what I was taught and this is what I'll continue to think. And this is the problem... You can't think of you only have one way of thinking. That's not thinking, it's memorizing and regurgitating what you learned in government funded schools. Even if you go to private school; math, history, English and science are all the same thing. Everything in this country you think own, you don't! And this was his message ' Life is worth losing'. If you don't see it, then you are living THE AMERICAN DREAM.

    It's in our DNA to control. To want the best for ourselves. To feel good about ourselves. To dominate situations. There's too many for all of us to accomplish our dreams and desires. But we have the right to complain. Because it's therapy to help our frustration of just existing and not living as we wish we could. Only few accomplish what DNA strives us to want for ourselves. The fact is we're just animals like other animals. We're just much more intelligent but not intelligent enough to ignore our makeup of a species to find a way to survive. With rules or without rules. With rights or without rights.

    Here in Canada, health is a big thing. I grew up in the Vancouver area, and especially the West End, the yuppie area, which is the most LGBTQIA+ friendly place in BC, everyone goes to the gym and walks their dog. When I lived there for 10 years, there were guys living in the building who were jacked. I was the chubby disabled guy with the low metabolism going home to my diet of next to nothing trying to compete with these skinny guys who were eating nonstop while on the go. Mostly sushi, noodles, coffee and bubble tea for those guys. It's the West End - Japanese food (hell, any kind of food) is everywhere. We're right on the water, so unless you're a vegetarian joint, you've gotta have seafood. Even our junk food is organic, made with Kennebec potatoes and fried in olive oil with less salt.

If you were more in Fort Wayne, you MIGHT have more places to walk to. If you were in Indy, you'd LIKELY have more places to walk to. Part of that particular problem is, even when in a highly developed and populated area, people don't really travel outside of their own neighborhoods. As kids we do. As kids we explore EVERYWHERE on foot. That's essentially our only mode of transportation. Even then, though, we're only going to explore 1-2sq miles.

    Love the post video discussion. I disagree, but you are definitely a critical thinker. I think it is hard to come up from nothing, psychologically. It is possible, but not everyone starts from the same point. That is a capitalist fallacy. Either way, it’s all engineered to make us work. Workers are the backbone of this country. Workers are proficient consumers and they pay taxes. Workers keep the rich people richer, and the richer rule this country. They are in the “big club.” 😂 That’s why it’s illegal to be homeless.
    All of this is by design. We took our public education system from Prussia. It’s called “nation-building.” That’s why we will do anything to pass kids. They don’t care if you’re smart, they want you to learn how to have a job. If you don’t have a job, they want you in prison. They want to get money out of you, one way or another. Plus, in school they can teach you to respect authority, pledge allegiance to the flag, ask permission when you want to speak, they want you to know their own version of history, and that America is the greatest country in the world! They build citizens from the age of 5 to be obedient, non-questioning, law abiding, workers. Cogs in the machine to make the powerful become more powerful so they can slip the veil over your eyes a little further.

      Carlin was everything but a conspiracy theorist, he was against all BS, religions and everything not evidence based. Saying that big coorporations have a LOT of power and control almost everything is quite factual. I'm french, here lobbying politiciens is illegal and coorporations can not finance campaign or party. Not gonna be naive, they find other ways to "buy" politiciens but there is a lot less money in politic than what you got in the USA. When you look at the amount of money poored on campaign (Republican or Democrat, often both at the same time..) or politicien, it's difficult to not assume that it will have repercusions when come the time to vote bills. Not very conspiratorial.
      But George was not anti-science at all for and he would never have buy any of the conspiracy around vaccines or Ivermectin or Covid for exemple.
      There are conspiracies, always have been. But it is different than conspiracy theories based on no facts or even against all facts. The fact that you had Watergates, Coups d'États etc doesn't make real the Moon landing conspiracy, the "Big lie", the flat earth and a lot of conspiracies that are around today.
