If you're going to interpret one part of the Bible figuratively, what's to say the entire thing isn't figurative?
True. Further, in order to interpret a text figuratively, there must be some clear indication in the text that forces reader to the figurative interpretation.
The entire thing is figurative. That's why there are so many historical errors if you try to think about it as history.
the Bible is not one book but a collection of books, you have to know if it's a historical book, a wisdom book, a poetry book...ect
