- Author Douglas Murray has blasted the Bishop of Dover, Reverend Rose Hudson-Wilkin, as a “famous diversity hire” in the church for her comments about immigration.
Reverend Hudson-Wilkin appeared on BBC Question Time last week where she insisted France was not a “safe place” for immigrants.
“She is one of those people whose grift is she is in the church and she tells everyone how racist they are and how sexist they are and she makes her way up very happily by doing that and now she is the Bishop of Dover,” Mr Murray told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
Dying in a cemetery in France. But alive in their own country. Bad choice to leave home then?

Pretty much the first thing the Bishop of Dover said when she was appointed to my home town was that we were all racists. It did not go down well with me.

Thank you!! I watched her in abject horror last week saying immigration is great for us, they are not affecting housing etc. The echo chamber just applauded her!! The only hopeful thing is that slowly more and more people seem to be waking up and I think there's a lot more of us who are actually talking about it. My friend told me a few weeks ago: "I used to think you were nuts but much of what you've said has come true!" I just hope Reform can win some seats and become an adequate opposition.
