Goku Jr. really does remind me of Gohan when he was a kid. Cares so much about others, doesn’t think he has what it takes to be strong and doubts himself. Gohan saying he’s weak, letting others bail him out, that he’s just a kid and he hasn’t changed. Even when he ascended to SSJ2, beyond anything Goku, Vegeta, Trunks, and Piccolo could comprehend, it showed how capable he is, he really was convinced he didn’t have it in him to beat Cell. And Goku Jr doesn’t think he has it in him to protect his friends and Pan. Which Son Goku was quick to reassure him otherwise.
The scene when spud steals a shopping cart full of food made me want to do the same thing so I did it one time with my brother years ago 😂 Best days of my life I’ll tell you what. We just walked out and had food all month 😂
I don't think Goku is dead. I think he's immortal after he left with Shenron. All the other Z Fighters including Gohan and Vegeta have died naturally due to old age.😢
a hero's legacy was like the most competent part of GT for me. I would have liked to see a series continue from this. I agree I liked super too, but I'm kind of interested in where Goku jr's story would go.

I even once had vague fan fiction ideas, ages ago, but don't remember any details aside from the main heroes obviously being Goku Jr., Vegeta Jr., and Puck. Also that Pan would basically have been the new Master Roshi, and that the original Goku and Vegeta were also going to be involved in some way. Regarding the latter, I think their spirits were going to serve as mentors and advisors for the main heroes, or something like that. But because they could only exist as spirits, they couldn't actually involve themselves directly when it came to fighting villains, or solving problems. They could only offer wisdom for the new generation of heroes to save the world, or whatever. I never actually wrote anything involving that, though. It was just idle fantasizing around the time I first saw Hero's Legacy, which was around when it was first localized.

Why do you assume it will just become boruto? Boruto had a lot more problems which made it suck. For a goku Jr story, goku and everyone else is dead. It's all about him. He can go have adventures cuz it makes sense for him to do so, to get stronger and see the world like goku did as a kid. Goku Jr is a good kid, although timid, unlike boruto, who is a bratty Gary sue for a good part of the beginning.
He is the spirit inside of the dragon balls. Shenron departed the world and took his spirit out of the dragon balls since earth relied on them too much. Their power was too much for the galaxy and after goku got destroyed by omega shenron, shenrons spirit gave goku 1 chance to finish omega and he would be the spirit of the dragon balls. That was their deal. It was a good ending and 1 that I would use in a reboot telling except my stories are far more unique and amazing than anything that you see in super because super is uninspired.
The only thing i never really liked about this special was the implication that goku and vegeta’s families grew apart in just 2 generations. Vegeta jr’s mother doesn’t recognize pan.
I mean, it kinda makes sense. The families were only connected through Goku and Vegeta, and then through Goten and Trunks. Pan and Bulla were never close friends. So once Goku, Vegeta, Goten and Trunks passed away, there was no longer any reason for the two families to interact anymore. They would eventually go their own way, which is sad, but realistic. I never liked any of GT besides this movie, but it was actually great and realistic writing to have the two families become strangers at the end. It's super sad but realistic.
well it is sad but ya why would they keep bonding?? after goku and vegeta there wasnt really a reason. vegeta lost his hype for fights after goku merged with shenron and "left" forever... gohan aint really close with present trunks. . chichi and bulma never were the best of friends type. merely only know each other cuz their husbands. maybe goten and trunks could have kept the bond between the families alive. but i guess their friendship also grew apart as time went on. pan as well. then before all this even way back in dbz goku never went to see bulma for like 5 years or something i think?? before the EOZ. she was upset lol.
You may not like it but sometimes that just life. Hell, Goku himself tends to go long periods of times without contact with the Z fighters. Remember the beginning of Z? Bulma and the Z fighters are his closest friends, and yet, he hadn’t even talked to them in years.

I think the ending to gt is Goku basically becomes shenron so I guess if you did manage to collect all seven Goku would be the one that grants your wish. Could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that's what the ending was

I like GT, I like this movie years ago. Goku jr doesn’t have his own personality. He looks like Goku, lives like Goku, has Goku DNA and his name. Goten looked like Goku when small, but he still had his own personality. Don’t get me started on Vegeta jr.🙄

I watched this movie a few months back, and I think the worst I can give it is 5 out of 10.
Maybe the movie is a parallel reality in itself either way GT needs movie counter parts to the Super series and Maybe Xeno Exclusive Movies even
