I actually love the idea of Goku ultimately becoming the God of the Dragonballs. Since the show mostly revolved around him and his story, it would be fitting and logical for him to assume the role.

This special is strange. It seems that in this future, some kind of apocalypse has happened, because in many places everything is very empty. At school, in the city, on the roads. It does not look as populated as it was in Dragon Ball Z.
I thought i was the only one who noticed.
It just looked lonely and depressing.

Geekdom something has bothered me about saiyan and human offspring and their off spring. Gohan is half saiyan, Chichi giving him her human X chromsome and goku giving him a saiyan Y. If Gohan goes and has kids would logic not dictate that if he were to have kids lets say twins, a girl and a boy (for the the sake of the argument), the boy would be half saiyan just like his father and the girl human because she received the X chromosome that gohan got from Chichi and the x from the human mother? This would actually explain why she never went super saiyan in GT. We know that Toriyama doesnt know exactly how genes and chromosomes work but could you think of a way that actually makes sense for the offspring of saiyans and humans to work. I drew the Chromosome squares for this and i just cant get it to make sense for me. Pan should be just a human. Only thing i could think of that makes even remote sense for this is that the hybrid offspring became their own separate species.

Im just trying to get a a semi plausible way for for that much dilution to work. Genetically speaking it should be an impossibility for anyone who doesnt have a saiyan chromosome to transform. If pan was a boy it would make sense as long as the line was paternal down to Goku Jr., for Vegeta Jr. I'd assume he's Bra's decedent so that puts the saiyan genes in the X chrome for Vegeta Jr. Occam's razor, either goku jr is goten decedent and adopted by his cousin Pan's family or Gohan had a son who's male line would produce Goku Jr. Pan becomes this Goku's Grampa Gohan. I just cant think of a way for this to work genetically. Any explanation?

Likely many wishes. Dende could do 2 and Goku in GT was billions of times stronger then Dende. Goku would likely have way more wishes in the tank then Shenron ever did

This makes me want a sequel series following strong human characters who studied with Gohan’s book. It’d be a nice way to bring the series back down to Earth. Have the villain possess Saiyan genes or something, but keep everything relatively human like the original Dragonball.
It would make Gohan look cool as hell too.
Then originally capsule corp was a friend of goku, and after 140 years the capsule corp would be theyre greatest enemy by making saiyan genes spread,

GT was basically just a highly compressed form of the Superman Prime 1 Million story. Supes explores the entire universe, learns all there is to know and goes and meditates in the sun for 15000 years and comes out omnipotent. Goku explores a good chunk of the universe, fights most of what is worth fighting and meditates with Shenron for 100 years. Since Goku healed Pan even though there was only one dragon ball it looks like he became a wishing god.

It was the best ending from a story telling aspect I agree however for a character aspect it was kinda lame imo...
*Piccolo and 17 are both stuck in hell (the latter has a family btw).
*Pan only got to spend around one year with a Grandpa before he left forever (for most of her childhood she didn't even get to see Goku)
*Vegeta is left with a form he can't access on his own unlike Goku
*Uub never did succeed Goku as Earth's next main hero
Ofc Goku doing something that selfish by leaving everyone behind is pretty spot on (and it's implied he didn't really have a choice in the matter either) but the GT ending for me personally was bittersweet, not hating btw.
@bryan diaz varela You may not remember but Piccolo was priginally on heaven, however, both 17's (the one on the earth and the one created in hell by both Dr. Gero and Dr. Myuu) got to synchronize their energy. Which caused them to open a portal from hell (releasing every dead being into earth in the process), at this point Goku is in hell as well (the only thing I remember was him beIng tricked by extra dimensional beings) so Piccolo and Dende figured out that they could open a portal (for Goku to escape) as well.
Piccolo asked Great King Enma to send him to hell but his request was declimed every single time so he got desperate and pretended to be King Piccolo once more (so he caused destruction as well as harking souls in heaven) which earned him a direct travel to hell. At this point both he and Dende work towards synchronizing their energies but they weren't strong enough so the portal only lasted a few seconds and at full focus (which is how Goku managed to go back to earth).

Yes. Vegeta is their one and only pure Saiyan warrior who can live longer with a young looks unlike the others such as gohan and trunks only a half Saiyan so they can die naturally. Anyway the head band wears of Goku jr similarly to Bardock from his friend.

GT & it's ending are my official head-canon. It was the best possible ending for the series.
Even if Roshi is still alive it doesn't mean that a 700 year dementia didn't kick in, immortal doesn't mean he doesn't get sick or memory loss or fatigue, lots of reasons why he didn't show up for years or in this case at the tournament. Also still possible that he can still be killed, he just can't die by normal means but he can definitely die from a (powerful) gunshot or enemy.

I was actually hoping that Toriyama would write more stories following this time line, when I heard that he was coming back to DB. It would've been a lot less confusing then it is right now, and there would be a lot of potential for more stories with new characters.
Agree but it's harder to write new main characters then the old ones for views or manga sales...trust me...they know it would just be harder work with less fan appeal probably to do so cause gt is hated...but it would allow the former co editor who now writes super to be given his own manga to succeed with in this era starting from scratch and having to keep attention and draw fans in without milking the past story characters and that to me is more impressive and what an author should want to do not copy off others work and steal...like what boruto did smdh

Did Chichi fuck Kid Goku?
I know this might be irrelevant but what happened to 18 in GT?, Androids at least have super longevity (Dr Gero himself even called the process of becoming a cyborg as "getting eternal life").
Yet she got tired after just landing a few hits on her brother (despite apparently have nigh limitless stamina) and she clearly visibly aged too (tho not to the extent of her husband), shouldn't she still be alive during Goku/Vegeta jr time? or was her cyborg abilities forgotten/retconned in GT?.
According to toriyama they age slowly
GT actually did retcon that. Look at the ones in original timeline when Trunks comes back last time in Cell saga. It was 17 YEARS after killing Z fighters and they were still looking like teenagers.
... Now that I realize it that seems like an interesting question.
I just realized that 17 didn't age a day past the end of Z unlike his sister, I wonder if they actially modified her or used the dragon balls to make her more human.

@Fred Rijos I did remember her with a few age related marks on her face but now that I look at the picture once more it seems that you are right. She does not look that old, however, her performance was not even half of what it used to be, which happens to be a consequence of aging.
Was the English dub different from the original? Because it clearly states that Goku Jr is Pan’s direct grandson, and Goku is Goku Jr’s great great grandpa. So idk where any of this information came from at all.
The mystery of what happened during the time skip and the fact that all of Goku Jr.’s relatives (except for Pan) being mysteriously absent has some interesting implications. My personal head cannon is that a threat came towards the end of the skip that they barely were able to defeat at the cost of almost all of the remaining Z-fighter ancestors falling in the battle, including all of Goku’s descendants except Pan and a Baby G.J., most of Vegeta’s bloodline except for V.J. and his mother, plus any of Uub, Tien, or Krillin’s descendants that tried to get involved.

I remember when GT aired in my country. Everyone else in my neighborhood either hated it or was indifferent to it but I gave it a chance. It was fun. Really fun. I remember the Black Dragon Ball arc was especially reminiscent of the old DBZ days with the tension and desperation etc. Especially when Goku was fighting against Syn/Omega Shenron. Good times.
The sense that everything was coming to a close when Goku absorbed the Dragon Balls and that he wasn't alive anymore wasn't overt but it was still enough to let me know that his story and my part in sharing, it was over. I remember the end of GT and feeling like I was losing a good friend.
It felt as though Goku was the link between me and the fictional world he was based in. That day, the series I'd come to know and love and build a connection with, the one that formed such an integral part of my childhood, died at the end of GT.
Weird place to type all this but whatever. Just wanted to vent and ended up saying more than I should, I guess.

Love the Dragon Ball theory videos, especially this one where you're talking about GT. I remember wanting to know so much more when I first completed GT. I find this very captivating!
The thing is that 100 years have passed, added that Goku Jr is 10 or so based on height. That means in 80~ years(letting pan reach adulthood and grow some more), the Son family had 3 generations, or about 1 child per 18 years which feels insane.
Goku Jr.'s Saiyan Blood is too diluted to be going SSJ in my opinion. Don't you think? He's like, 1/32nd Saiyan. Thats way too little.

Because we have Goku Jr. going SSJ still, and Pan could do the God Ritual as a FETUS (lol) even though she's only 1/4. So does that mean she could go Great Ape and SSJB someday? (seriously, if anything would discriminate against "not being Saiyan enough" wouldn't it be the God Ritual?) I can see her getting the Full line to be honest. Not sure about Goku Jr. though. I feel like Goku not aging and still being alive in a hero’s legacy would make sense because he was physically about pan’s age in GT, and in dragon ball super, it was said that after their final growth spurt, saiyans just stop aging until they reach age 80, and then they start aging regularly. Therefore, Goku still looking somewhat young after 100 years actually makes sense.

as nice as GT's ending was for Goku, i like Dragon Ball Onlines ending for Goku and Vegeta more. you learn that the two Saiyans, nearing the end of their lives, decided that they needed to properly settle things once and for all. After saying their goodbyes to their friends and family, they both got on a space ship and flew off to an unpopulated part of the galaxy. They were never heard from again, the only sign of what happened being evidence of a super nova occurring in the direction they had left in.
we don't see it, we don't know who won and that's fine, one last battle between former enemies,rivals and friends. :D

GT did some things amazingly well. Particularly, the concept of universal exploration. Although it wasn’t well executed, the premise of it being the streamlined thread for the story’s plot was fresh and innovative for the Dragon Ball franchise. Plus, the finale of GT was fucking perfect. That honestly should have been the ending for DBZ.

Great video I liked it a lot. It's very possible though unlikely even Vegeta can be alive as well just retired. Since as you mentioned Saiyans age much slower to remain in their fighting prime. I think even Bulma pointed this out at some point that when she is like 50 Vegeta will still look like he is in his 20s the problem would be the dilution of Saiyan blood though. Pan is about 114yrs old at this point Trunks would be 123yrs old its only a 9yr difference but could still be alive as well as Bulla being about same age as Pan in GT making her about the same age as Pan at 114-116yrs old roughly. Along with their descendants is possible only the Saiyan half of Vegeta Jr's family branch still exists. It's possible even Goten is alive being a year younger than Trunks and if he had any children they would be alive too.
The Legacy of Goku movie pretty much took a dark twist the whole way because if Pan is half 1/4 Saiyan any descendent from Goten should be alive since his children would be 1/4 Saiyan as well. It's hard to think that Goten, Trunks, Bulla, Gohan stopped at one child. Also putting it into thought at 1/4 Saiyan blood Pan is 114yrs old a half Saiyan should live up to 200+yrs old they would definitely be in their prime longer than Pan. So it's this a theory of mine but yes The Legacy of Goku movie took a dark twist into saying Pan is the last living Z fighter or something like that or that Goku Jr only has Pan left alive. Dende would still be rocking up high the lookout as we know the elder guru was like super old in the hundreds. So yea with enough research you can dismiss this movie to be honest.
It just bad writing lol... whereone classic way to write a story that all the heroes are dead except this one descendant . ignore all plot story world logic to treat all the characters as basic human . When it make no fucking sense . as a standalone animation it fine but it ignore dragon ball logic , Roshi immortal , And Super Resislence of Strong Saiyan who resist aging . Not to mention hell you would think bulma super genius herself would dare let herself become Old as vain as bulma is, I could see chi chi quitely dying off . even without the dragon ball she can build fucking time machine I am sure she be the hotest great great grandma on the planet . Also what about Android 18 ? Android 18 doesn't age either where is she ? She like 17 are Super organic robot with unlimited energy.
@@stealthbrandon Android 17 was destroyed he was absorbed by evil Android 17 which led to him killing Krillin cause its not Dragon Ball without Krillin dying. But ya 18 and Goku teamed up to destroy Super Android 17. Now the reason Android 18 couldn't be alive is because she is an ORGANIC android. Meaning she is still human where it matters as proven by being able to have a daughter but ya its possible she could still be alive but its contradicted by this joke of a movie. But remember she is still part human so eventually her organs would stop working cause she isnt truely immortal long lived yes but not immortal she does seem "older" in GT compared throughout Z if you bother to pay attention anyway.
They could just do a story covering untold events of the 100 years (inside the 100 years) shortly after evil shenlong saga and retcon the Jr characters. Have Goku come back adult and piccolo, etc. Expand on forms past ssj4, the world, creation, reality warping, answering plot holes in the previous series. Have everyone get an arc.

Well if were gonna include some DBS canon's to GT this is prob what happened:
1. Tien and Chiaotzu: the Dojo get's built and both train the student's. They might have not gotten married like Roshi and Shen.
2. Yamcha: He would become a famous baseball player and breaking some world records (cause he's basically superhuman). He might have gotten married but it's more likely he din't imo.
3. Marron: She would have definitely gotten married but grew distant from the Z Warriors (since they have gotten busy with their own lives).
4. Piccolo: He would still be in Hell.
5. Trunks: He would still become the president of capsule corp and might have gotten busy with that job. And maybe got married
6. Bulla/Bra: She might have led a different life and act like a spoiled brat (prob) and might have gotten Married
All and all it all leads to them growing distant because of their own lives, so because of that, it might explain why the Z Warrior's descendant's don't know each other. (but if going by Qaaman's theory of history repeating this might create the knew Z Warriors.)
Thank god that now I know how did both gokus & vegetas family drifted apart I still wish they had kept in touch

I think it wud make sense and it wud be interesting if the humans learned how to be fighters by gohans book and goten/trunks. Then there would be some people who use that teaching wrong and cause issues, causing a battle between the good people and the bad. So the threats were earthmade in that 100 years and possibly beyond. As for gokus family, they were prob average joes since they would have no interest in fighting since they are mostly human, so who cares who they are lol (same for vegetas too). Everyone in goku and vegeta's family who were friends are dead, so it makes sense neither family are close no more, 100 years is a long time
So thats my question, why didnt they just continue that story instead of super tbh. I mean im ok with super, but they cud of made a new dragonball focusin on goku jr. I mean u said it urself, goku literally created a loop with the dragonball talk to his grandson lol. They literally cud redo everything over but with new characters and new stories lmao
