- Spectators in Cleveland, Ohio, saw the total solar eclipse around 3:15 p.m. ET as the moon covered the sun for a little more than three minutes. CBS News' Dave Malkoff witnessed the event with Stephen Bowen, a NASA astronaut and retired U.S. Navy captain.

Cleveland has the Rock and Roll Hall of fame and now the total Eclipse of the SUN! 😊😊😊😊
Congrats to the Cleveland crowd! It was too cloudy in Texas for the show.
It looked much much different in person. Way better
True, you really see the outer ring in person and a 360 degree sunset.
@@johnking8896 oh it was unbelievable in person absolutely amazing to see Gods creation
Camera's could never pickup how stunning that moment was in Cleveland. The coronal mass ejections almost felt like the Sun was winking at us
in Cleveland, Niagara Falls, Buffalo cities on US they only got 3 minutes but on Mexico we got 4 minutes and 10ish to 30ish seconds
To say I could actually see those wisps (corona) with my own eyes, absolutely mind blowing.
It was positively STUNNING!!❤❤❤
Great energy! Hope we learn to be kind
Totality ...that moment when you feel so insignificant compared to God's work....❤ I was able to enjoy a partial eclipse where I live 🙂
Isn't God Amazingly creative
@@iamangela171 Most Definitely 🥰
In my area the sun was blocked over 90%. We had planned on driving the one hour to Cleveland Ohio but the traffic was atrocious so we had to stay home. I love eclipses, they are truly beautiful. Wish I could have been there❤
This broadcaster did a better job than any local news stations.
So cool!
I've often wondered if this is comparable to the Overview Effect. Thanks for the confirmation, Mr. Bowen.
In that moment, I think that Captain Bowen remembered why he became an astronaut.
Amazing
Can you upload the footage of the camera shooting the eclipse only? I mean, no reporters
Thanks Oh graceful God
To GOD be the glory!!!
To Mother Nature be the glory!!!! Stop trying to hijack the moment. Typical Christian move. Smh.
Praise The Lord & His wonderful Creation!!!! Glory to the Creator of Heaven & Earth!!🙏🏼🕊️❤️
1:07 what IS that???
Wasn't supposed to be clouds in Cleveland?
We travelled from Ireland to see the Eclipse in Cleveland. TV presenter said there would be 60% cloud coverage. On our way to the event the clouds disappeared and we had a great show.
@@weemo28 wow that's amazing, you traveled a long way to risk missing it. I checked the national forecast maps and it has clouds for the whole path of totality. So I stayed out. Big regret. Apparently the shadow cools the air and makes clouds disappear
God is good
fourth and sick
Celebrate Judgement
can't these people just shut up for a minute? how can you talk through something like this?
i was here
Anything that can make someone forget they live in Cleveland is a good thing.
Cleveland is a beautiful city..
Ya gotta be tuff.
Ok shows over, lets go back to hating each other again.
Will do!
We were told to stock up and prepare for doomsday. What happened?
Business in selling stock
It will Wednesday when that Comet passes😮
Big whoop. I see a total eclipse every night when the sun goes down.
No you don’t, the corona ring during an eclipse is one of the most breathtaking visuals to see in person.
@@botomusprime6238 seen plenty. I would rather trim my toenails
@@leonblack2651well a lot of people haven’t seen “plenty”. Just because you don’t take joy in little things doesn’t mean others have to have to be as grey and boring as you. Hooray you think an eclipse is an event not worth peoples time!! Do you feel better now? You are so much cooler than everyone because a solar eclipse is not worthy of your time
You see the moon cover the sun every night? 😂
@@miragebarrage9748 I see it get dark every night.
That moment when you realized that humanity cannot control everything but our amazing, wonderful God who made all things good through Jesus Christ (the Word made flesh who dwelt among us John 1:14). John 1:1-5 ... Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
