    I love Heirloom Traditions Paint! I painted all my kitchen cupboards with it and many other things. If you sign up on their website, you’ll get notified of many discounts and deals. Their weathering antiquing gels are awesome too!

      It is good paint. I found their Mediterranean blue at a garage sale and it’s a big hit.

    May have to check out that paint. I don't usually like the all in one type finishes, I will not use a stain/poly mix, just doesn't seem to cover or stick well. For $7 it's worth a shot!
    I've got to go back and watch your chalk paint video, a daughter is wanting something finished with it and I've never tried it. To expensive to just open a can and go to painting!

    • @JunkinwithStacy
      @JunkinwithStacy  Před 3 lety +1

      You should watch the chalk paint videos because if you're not familiar with how it behaves you can get easily frustrated. For $7 is really is worth trying out. This is sticking just great. It's been a couple days and I've been setting things on the footstool (not gently) and it's sticking great.

    I have been using this paint for several years. Have never had a problem with chipping or anything like that. I paint a lot of dining chairs & tables. Most chalk paint requires a topcoat but this paint does not need that at all. I have flipped furniture pieces using HT paints and never have had a complaint. Last night I ordered 4 small jars of fun colors to paint smalls and a gel stain to use on a dining table that I am rescuing.

      @joyceyager9940 Před 5 měsíci

      @@taniajohnson1223, no I do not. I am not a blogger or YT creator. I just do projects for myself but sometimes have to sell them.
      I have tried other paints but the Heirloom Traditions seems to work the best for me. The gel stain I recently used on a pretty abused dining table top. We are presently using it in our home & I get lots of compliments on how nice it looks. It is just my husband and I at home now so we are not rough on our furniture.

    Heirloom Traditions Paint also has ‘recipes’ for mixing paint and coming up with various colors. There are how to videos by the company for painting cabinets, doors, furniture, etc.

    Hi! I was wondering if you ended up using this paint on the front door? If so, how did it turn out and wear after use?

    • @JunkinwithStacy
      @JunkinwithStacy  Před 10 dny

      We did! So far so good but keeping in mind that door is in a covered porch so it’s protected. I recently used rust-o-leum front door paint on my door and I’m thrilled with it. Either is a good option.

      I do. I bought Mediterranean blue and I adore it. I like not having to base and top coat and it self levels. It’s not the only paint I use but when I can afford it I like this paint a lot.

    Great video, getting ready to paint some very old furniture with heirloom traditions. How can I find your video about the bleeding? And what do you use to keep that from happening?

    • @JunkinwithStacy
      @JunkinwithStacy  Před rokem +1

      You will need to use a shellac based primer like zinsser BIN. Old stains have tannins that are attracted to water molecules so if you used any water based primer the stain will bleed through. You could put 50 coats of water based primer down and you will still get bleed through. BIN smells awful so use it in a very well ventilated area. I’ll be honest I can’t remember all my videos so I don’t remember which one I referenced in this video. 😂 I hope this information helps. If you have more questions just ask.

    Is anyone else having trouble getting shipments from this company?? I placed an order. 2.5 weeks passed, and I ran tracking and it said my order was "undeliverable". I notified the company, and they said the carrier doesnt let them know when a package is damaged. Okay, I I was just happy they reshipped. And here it is, going into the 2nd week and I have not even received tracking info. If anyone knows something that may help me get my order, Please Advise?!! Thanks.

    Question: We have stain cabinets and added raw trip wood. Would I need to prime the raw first?

    • @JunkinwithStacy
      @JunkinwithStacy  Před 2 lety

      Yes. You will never regret priming. Because it’s a kitchen I would use a stain blocking primer because as much as you clean the wood grain might still retain some grease that could leak though the paint.

    • @curiousnook6358
      @curiousnook6358 Před 2 lety

      I primed my cabinets first. I figured that primer adds a coat that’s less expensive than paint. I filled in the oak grain with famowood and sanded, primed, then painted.

    Is it truly chalk or is it acrylic based? Couldn't find the ingredients. Gonna grab a sample. Love Trying It videos. I've been a Purdy girl for years. Another I swear by is Zibra. Try the triangle head when you have a ton of corners to paint.
