We downsized just over 2 years ago and we have no regrets. I think it's a good idea to do it before you need to and whilst you can still cope with the move. Also it might release some capital so you can treat yourself to a few more holidays. ❤
I also live right on the Devon coast, in fact I have a sea view right outside my window. It’s beautiful and everyone envy’s me when they visit but……the sun doesn’t shine on the balcony until at the earliest 3.30 pm and as you say, it’s only for a few weeks at the most. The rest of the year the wind is still there together with the cold and rain and of course the salt spray. My husband died almost 6 months ago and I’m moving to a retirement complex. No gardening, no worry about roof tiles blowing off in the winter gales. Bliss. I will of course miss my views but I have to be sensible.

Such sympathy to you. Lost my adorable Norwich Terrier a few years back in very similar circumstances. When vet said her heart heart was weak I knew it was time to say farewell. Xxx it takes a while to adjust to a fogless home. My thoughts are with you. Xx take care.

I love, love, love “Ted Lasso”, it’s such a great series, and the acting is incredible. All the actors bring their characters to life and make me feel that they are real people that I’m watching.

Hey Suzi………hope when you are ready to downsize you will be lucky enough to have a small bit of green area or at least a balcony……….I miss that so much as my condo has neither……there is a roof top garden , but always too many people and not enough chairs, nor enough shady spots……..the view of the city was wonderful, not we are loosing that with all the new condos being built………such is life, gorgeous few days we have had now, blue skies , sunny and just warm enough but it will also be very humid…..have a good time in London…………..Donna in Toronto

No it’s pond lining and kind of slimy, but bearable as I was brought up swimming in ponds and lakes as a youngster I’m quite unworried by it, especially as there’s nothing poisonous in England! So happy you like the Zara paper bag jeans. x
