- Scammers are no strangers to Copart Salvage Auction. I have done videos outlining how scammers use to Copart to disguise damaged vehicles. No, there are new scammers using Copart vehicles on other social media platforms. Like Facebook and instagram.
Normally, the scammers make a post selling parts from a wrecked car. Like a legitimate business like us at Lee C Parts would do. The scammers then pray on people contacting them for parts and using payment forms with no buyer protection.
This scammer got really ballsy tho! They contacted me directly on instagram trying to Scam me with a Copart car. The joke is on them though, because I am wise to their scam. The best part is the car is being auctioned on Copart, today! Let’s see what it sells for…

Good eye on the temp gauge... Being in PA I always look for current inspection stickers for one. A lot of what I was buying was older vehicles, mainly trucks and it was a dead give away that old stickers meant almost always private seller unloading junk.
That makes a lot of sense. Definitely a good little tip/advise for those PA cars.

I buy a lot of cars from copart i know all the tricks you can make very good buys but you must do your homework

I noticed the countdown timer jumped quite a bit and sold. Do you see that very often? It happened to me last week and missed out on great deal.
I can’t say I see it often. I thought my screen recording just glitched for a second. I’m sure it happens tho. IAA I notice it happens pretty often.

Well i just shit my pants. I'm the guy that won this via a broker and this video happens across my feed with the car i just bought saying SCAM! Haha.
Anyway, i did notice the temp gauge as well and am slightly concerned about head gaskets, but I'll probably take the heads off anyway as I'll be installing a cam and new lifters etc. The car is going to be a drift/ street car for me so I'll be replacing fenders anyway. I'm sure it'll need a radiator and condenser which isn't the end of the world either as I'd likely be upgrading the radiator and fan setup anyway.
