- This new s650 Ford Mustang Gt has barely had enough time to be broken in before it was seriously broken! The 1st Ford Mustang Gt s650 that showed up at salvage auction has finally run across Copart auction block. With no other data to compare to, every bidder is taking a risk on the value of this s650 Ford Mustang Gt.
Whether it’s for parts or a rebuild. This Ford Mustang Gt s650 certainly won’t be cheap! Mustang drivers are known for their inability to control their cars. So, this certainly won’t be the last Ford Mustang Gt s650 we see at Copart salvage auction.

Way to be SOFT on the Bids Dalt!
Wow i live nearby to that lot and because of you guys i look at the inventory every now and then to day dream. Just saw this over the weekend. How cool.
Having a stringent inspection process to get a damaged vehicle back on the road can be a pain but the prospect of basically no inspection in place for regions like Bahrain is terrifying. There is virtually nothing in place to keep a dangerous poorly repaired vehicle from being put back into service and potentially injuring or killing someone. Some of the vehicles I see run thru with certificates of destruction for the us that are then sold to foreign countries where they are cobbled back together is mind bending. This example was very nicely spec'ed out. Liked the blue with the black wheels and 2 tone interior. Look forward to you guys getting one into the shop. Enjoyed the video. Keep up the good work.
I agree with the folks who hate those screens in place of gauges and gauge clusters. It looks cheap and unfitting of a sports car or sports sedan interior. It’s an example of car manufacturers building cars they want to build instead of what buyers actually want.
My girlfriend used to work for a salvage vehicle exporter here on the east coast. Alot of these wrecked cars get sent over to be fixed and get the title washed. So they're sent over with a salvage US title. They fix them and get a clean title in whatever country they're in and then they'll send them back to the US and will receive a clean US title.
I love that you make your living on top of other peoples foolishness. You have to be an excellent and experienced driver to handle a racecar when you mash the accelerator to the floor. I enjoy your videos.
It gets a little awkward when someone posts their freshly wrecked car on Facebook and my first thought is. “I wonder if they will sell it cheap?”
@@scraplifedalt Back in 1985 I was a car salesman for a Ford dealer. There was an accident in front of the dealership and my manager told me to go out and hand the drivers my business card. Our job was to sell cars, and yours is to find deals on parts. Can’t fault someone for doing their job.
So weird seeing new cars totaled already, I barely see them still
Informative video, great content as usual.
IMSA has. dark Horse race series next year. The cars are very stock, still maintaining the h pattern transmission, stock body panels and driveline with a few exceptions. Grabbing a 2024 parts car might get you some customers as the fender-banging in that series might be kinda wild. Just something to think about. I’m an IMSA crew member, so if you have parts next season I can definitely pass your site along. Also I’d tag any “darkhorse” and even IMSA in any ‘24+ Mustang listing as Ford Racing is really promoting that name next year. The nascar mustangs & IMSA Mustangs will all be referred to as Darkhorses. Just some food for thought! Keep-up the good work! I do similar work as you guys in my offseason, but mostly parting-out motorcycles/dirtbikes.
Made some mistakes there replying but basically tag any 24+ mustang part as “darkhorse”.
Sounds like u have a cool job! Thanks for the insight and information!
Driver must have been heading to the local curbs and crowds
Curbs and crowds lol
I love this type of content!
Incredibly interesting video!
That was a Pretty nasty impact on that drivers side door , I hope they pulled through 👍
Do you guys planning on picking up a dark horse to do a video on the main channel tearing it apart?
I would like to. The timing is going to be tough to predict tho. The first couple will probably be pretty expensive at auction. We do have some Mustang rebuild projects coming up on the main channel over the winter. 😁
This looks like the first one to crash at the drag strip
That's not Fernando in the background?! It's spreading....
Those foreign rebuilders always amaze me. They buy very high and then when you look the market in that country, retail is not that different or even cheaper.
We have this with Polish buyers here in Czech rep. they pay more and sell parts cheaper than me :O
P.S. If you plan to move to parts motorcycles bussines hit me up :))
Just getting back in the game. Was plumbing but my boss broke his back so we are shit outta luck for the next 6-8 months. Am getting my first car ready for flipping now. It’s my dads 06 STS. Mice made a nest under the engine cover and chewed up the wireing harness. Nvr had time to rly look for it or repair it. Took me all week to do it and it worked! She tried to turn over for the first time! Everything lit up! It has 137k and in pretty good shape. Interior is mint. What do you think it’s worth??
Arthur could fix this Mustang! Going to a country that has cheap labor is probably the only way this pencils out! In the US 22K plus copart fees & shipping makes this a dicey play unless you have a CZcams channel that has a decent viewership or something like Dalt was saying.
def a performance pack because of the ebrake
I m just curious about the frame of the salvage car that you buy for parts & throw it away in the bin. I see several car rebuilders using some from junk yard for like quarter panel etc. Why don't you sell the frame to junk yard? Is there no market for it?
I had ordered one of these from the factory but inevitably cancelled. I would love to own one of these, or just buy one for a chassis swap with a Classic Mustang.
As a 2nd point to it being a bad parts car investment for the time being, I can imagine there being an issue with people just simply not having the time to crash their mustangs yet. And the mustangs that are crashed just get replaced right away because they're brand new.
Let’s get an export business going! ScrapGasket Exports
It does have a nice ring to it!
I’m not really surprised when it comes to Fords when a drivetrain looks salvageable. Just compare crate motor prices between Ford and Chevy. You would think the prices would be comparable but Fords always carry a significant premium and I couldnt tell you why. Even when they were all pushrod motors it was the same way so the tech isn’t what’s causing the price discrepancy.
Hey man actually I was trying to do this job but didn’t got Complete coz lot different reasons
But all try say here got lot parts Cars I need sell ones so lmk if u interesting bout coz I also they’re takin all space here so am looking forward for this if u Do
Big big fan for you guys & like even way ya doin it u kn
Good luck wish beat
Ty again
Send me an email with what ya got. Austin at leecparts dot com. Normally it doesn’t like email addresses in comments. So, have to spell it out.
Do you have to be a dealer to bid on copart? Im a mustang nut, ive had 5 to date in tbe last 8yrs. Would like to learn more on this process from the yard to listing. What does it cost to get started?
U can make an account as a private buyer. The states u can buy in without certain business licenses is limited. But u can make an account and watch and learn. Pennsylvania and I believe North Carolina are public auction states. So, anyone with an account can bid on cars in those states.
Car is very similar to 550. Nit much value beyond electronics and power train. Prob not. Great buy as tou said
How much overpay you think this salvage engine would go for over the last model.. and it being so new? Ball park guess?
I wonder why billionaires don’t do CZcams and tell us about the real money making schemes 😂
